Amazing location, great host! We stayed for a few nights at Casa Horizon (Suite # 1) and had a great time. Two of Curtis's guides for his travel company were staying there in a couple of the other rooms, enjoying some downtime between trips, so we had the added bonus of their insights into all kinds of other places they'd guided trips over the years. Our suite was clean and comfortable, with an excellent ceiling fan. Hot shower in the pm, great water pressure. Great views from the suite, maybe a two minute walk down some stairs to the beach. Costa Dulce has a unique vibe you won't find anywhere else, and Curtis and his team are one of the reasons for that.

A refreshing swimming pool is framed by a stone border and surrounded by tropical plants. A thatched-roof structure offers shade nearby, with a view of the ocean and a partly cloudy sky in the background. The tranquil ambiance invites relaxation.

Joyce is extremely responsive as she lives onsite. She was helpful with local recommendations. Close to Playa Santana and Beginners Bay—can walk to both. Power went out daily for minutes or several hours, but Joyce has a back up generator for running the essentials. We found the pool right on the beach a lovely way to enjoy non surfing hours. Would stay again.

Backpackers to Ometepe Island or Surfers headed to Playa Gigante & Playa Popoyo spend the night here at Murph's, the ''stop & go'' hotel-hostel, then catch the inexpensive local buses or shuttles..... Our place is very close to public transport, low cost restaurants, grocery stores, the city center, and city park. We are clean and offer comfy bed and coziness.

Totoco Family Cabin Echecatl

Stunning views and gorgeous set up of restaurant and pool area. Pool is smaller than the pictures but still really lovely. The included breakfast was good. Dinner menu is somewhat limited and nice but not amazing. Our cabin was great very tidy and massive bed. No hot water in the shower although we didn’t try and get that fixed so maybe our fault.

The 99 Surf Lodge is well worth every penny. The location on the beach is hard to beat. The surf out front was really good! The resturant was absolute gourmet and delicious. The room simple and sweet, exactly what we were looking for on our weekend getaway. I will definitely be coming back to the is spot sooner rather than later.

What an amazing place. From the sounds of the rainforest to the unique lodge, Totoco is definitely a must stay. The included breakfast was delicious and the dinner was a blend of traditional Nicaraguan cuisine filled with nutritional goodness. My 3yr old learned to swim in the pool overlooking the volcano and the proximity to places like El Pital chocolataria and Olo de Agua made my families stay absolutely serene. We will definitely return and highly recommend.
