There is no way to accurately describe the views of the Tuscany countryside from this wonderful villa. The updating of the house left nothing to be desired. Indoor and outdoor amenities are perfect for a large group or family. It's a great home base, as it's centrally located. We took day trips to Assisi, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Monticchhiello, Pienza, Siena, and Orvieto. And so close to the hidden gem of Bagno Vignoni - don't skip it. Kathleen was one of the best hosts we have ever had. From recommendations and directions to introductions to chefs and wine tour guides. She was quickly responsive to all of our questions throughout the process. You will love everything about this place. We would definitely go back.

I can say enough about his beautiful Airbnb. My husband and I stayed for four nights, and Alistair and Maria were the most gracious hosts. From start to finish we felt welcomed and cared for, and the cottage itself - not to mention the grounds - was simply gorgeous. Nestled in the little town of Macciano, the cottage has great proximity to so many beautiful towns, attractions, and restaurants. We took multiple little day trips and were able to cover a lot of ground, and still be home in time for a dip in the pool and a glass of Prosecco with our charming hosts. Maria even offered to cook with me one night, and I had the opportunity to learn about the local fare, all lovingly made from scratch by Maria. This is a very, very special place filled with beauty and tranquility. We can't wait to go back!!

We had the absolute pleasure of spending three unforgettable days at Paolo and Monica’s 800-year-old farmhouse — and it was hands down the best Airbnb experience we’ve ever had. The home itself is stunning: full of history, character, and comfort, with every amenity thoughtfully provided. Each morning, Paolo and Monica prepared a beautiful, fresh breakfast spread complete with homemade cakes and warm, delicious options that started our days off with so much care and joy. The hospitality was truly beyond compare — Paolo and Monica are salt-of-the-earth people with hearts of gold. One of the highlights of our stay was visiting with the many animals they lovingly care for. From eagles and owls to donkeys, horses, peacocks, ducks, and sheep — it felt like something out of a storybook. Monica’s passion for rescuing and training animals is inspiring, and added such a special, personal touch to the experience. Thier home is filled with beauty, warmth, and heart. Alessandro is a very nice and thoughtful host. The place and the view is great. It has everything you need for your trip (probably best for couples or on your own). Having a car is almost non negotiable but that also makes it very calm and quiet. Groceries and some great ice cream are close by. Can only recommend!

We had a wonderful time staying with Andrea. He was very welcoming and always available to help. He assisted us with great recommendations and with booking restaurants and wineries. The tower itself is a truly unique place, and the peaceful surroundings created the perfect atmosphere for our stay.

Great house, comfortable and very atmospheric, with a lot of character. Excellent location just outside of the walls of the town, perfect base to explore Umbria. The house is spacious, very well equipped with everything you can possibly need during your stay. Eleonora is very welcoming, helpful and responsive host. We enjoyed our 1-week stay in Villa Dorata so much and would highly recommend it for your future vacation in Todi/Umbria!

This place was very nice and beautiful, the scenery was breathtaking and the views were great. Facilities were well kept and it was very peaceful. The animals were also cute. One of the best Airbnb’s I’ve ever been to.

The location is stunning. It is very rural, peaceful and quiet. The cottage was charming and very homely with everything we needed. It was exactly as described and as expected.
