What a beautiful place! The cabins were lovely, the kitchen had everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub after a long day of travel. Host was very responsive. Added bonus were the horses by the property. Adorable!

Perfect first stay of our vacation. Close to the airport, beautiful location. Communication with Solveig was good and clear. Directions are very clear. Cottage was clean and spacious. Definitely a recommendation to stay.

We stayed for three nights and found the place to be very comfortable for two people for that length of stay. Very efficiently designed unit and a fully stocked kitchen for four people. It's in a great central spot for exploring the Golden Circle and the South Coast. The farm is very convenient for the ring road. The building is a duplex and we never heard the other renters in the space next door at all, so it seems to be well insulated for sound. We really enjoyed watching the horses on the farm and all the birds that flew in to the small river next to the rental. The farm cat will insist on saying hello every day, adorable!

We really enjoyed our stay at your beautiful accomodations! It was so peaceful and very comfortable for our family. The cabin was clean and well appointed with everything we needed to make our stay perfect. Our son slept on the pull out couch, so it made the accomodations a bit cramped, but we used the closet for our clothes and kept our luggage in the trunk of our rental car to save space. It was so nice to sit in the geothermal hot tub after a day out and watch the horses on the field in front of the cabin. We would 100% recommend Akurgerdi for anyone sighseeing in the South of Iceland. We were within an hour drive from all the sites we wanted to see.

Perfect place to stay in Iceland, its in between all the beautiful spots on the west coast. House is super cozy, the directions Bjarki gave to find the house was perfect. 10/10 recommend, stay here if you come to Iceland!

My husband and I wanted to get away from the city and out in the country. This was the perfect place for us. The scenery around the cabin is breathtaking. We enjoyed the hottub and we're also able to view the Northern Lights on a few nights. The amenities inside were perfect and just what we needed. I was a little apprehensive about the shower being outside in a separate building, at first, but the water was hot and the pressure was excellent. Our stay was perfect and the communication with Vidar was top notch. Such a beautiful place.

We stayed at this place for two nights ( 3 adults and 1 kid). It is very well equipped, you'll find everything you need for grilling or regular cooking. Views are breathtaking, and if you're lucky with the weather you can just chill outside and enjoy the fresh air. Hosts were very friendly and quickly answered all our questions. Instructions are perfect. One thing to note - if you use google maps, don't put the address there, use the coordinates. Address is correct, but google maps directs you to wrong location ( though, not far from correct place ).

The most perfect place to stay on our first stop travelling around Iceland. Excellent location close to shops, cafes, sights but also so peaceful. A beautiful home which was more spacious than I expected and with everything you could need. Highly recommend.

We immediately felt very comfortable in Johanna's cozy house. The location is perfect and the surroundings beautiful. There are great hiking opportunities right outside the front door. Tourist highlights are easily accessible. Johanna is a very nice hostess. We would be happy to come back and recommend the accommodation without reservation. We had great days here.

Loved our stay for the few nights we were there. Check in was easy and there is a lot of nice places locally, both for food and exploring. Made a great place to start as we travelled and explored the south of the island! A great place to stay!

We had a great stay at the tiny home! Everything was clean and had exactly what we needed. The kitchen had the perfect amount of things to make a few meals easily. We enjoyed the hot tub and saw the northern lights while relaxing—it was amazing! Safe neighborhood with a great walking path behind it (It still feels private even with the walking path nearby). Check in was easy with a lock box and parking was easy as well. We loved our stay!

The cabin on the beach was just what we needed for our anniversary celebration. The location was perfect as basecamp two days of our visit to Iceland. Margret gave lots of good information about restaurants, local attractions and other services. We especially enjoyed our TWO visits to the Floi Nature Reserve. Thanks, Margret!

This place was like staying in a tiny home, but better. it had everything you needed, and Kristine was extremely kind and super fast to respond. The cliffs beside the cabin have birds which I loved, and there os a nice small town for food and necessities. Perfect location if you wanted to spend your days out and about Iceland, and coming to a comfortable place to rest for the next day.

Wow! What a fabulous stay, our first in Iceland! This was a first trip in a long time without our teenage children and it allowed us to look for a property that would accommodate only the two of us. We both loved the rental. It was an easy, beautiful 50-minute or so drive from the international airport and only about 15 minutes to drive into the capital where we had other worldly meals in the evenings among other cultural stops. Approaching the rental, there are beautiful mountains flanking one side of the road and a lovely church at the top of a hill on the other side. The area was peaceful and quiet. We discovered a nearby bakery for daily breakfasts (Mossfellsbakeri) that is heaven.on.earth. The rental was immaculate, the bed was SO comfortable, the decor beautiful, the tub a treat. We have been long-time Airbnb renters and this experience was truly a standout. Helga was so friendly, responsive & helpful! I hope we will return to stay here again sooner vs later!

The small private hut was in a very quiet environment and was still easily accessible by car. It was clean and the amenities in the cottage were also good. In addition, Elka responded very quickly to inquiries. We especially liked the view and the hot tub. We would come back anytime:-)

We loved our stay at the cabin! Björn was super helpful and answered always very quickly to our questions. The cabin was very cute and cozy and well equipped. Beds were very comfortable with warm freather bedding and pillows. The location was great and the views were ofcourse incredible - changed everyday as the iceland weather does. Would recommed!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The place is truly fantastic — surrounded by breathtaking nature and with the most beautiful views we’ve ever seen. Everything about the location felt magical and peaceful. A wonderful and unforgettable experience for both of us. Highly recommended!
