Vallakot Farm Guesthouse is a small guesthouse, located in Northeast Iceland in the middle of the Diamond circle. It is situated in a green and peaceful valley called Reykjadalur and the village Laugar is only a few kilometers away with a restaurant, grocery shop, a swimming pool and other amenities. Vallakot Farm is both a farm and a guesthouse and a place that has been in the family for decades. We have three studio apartments built in 2017 and a cabin that we finished renovate in June 2023.

Registered number:- HG-00020047. The cabin is 15 m2 and is a hidden nugget in our garden overlooking the fjord opposite Akureyri. The cabin was completed in April 2020. There is a kitchenette with a kettle, microwave and fridge. The WC is separate inside with a hand basin. The cabin is private and there is a half wrap around deck to enjoy the evening views and midnight skies. There is an outside shower with hot water for a natural experience.

by far the best guesthouse of our Iceland trip. Already in the parking lot, we were charmingly greeted by Adalsteinn and everything was explained to us. The guesthouse is newly renovated and very attractively furnished, we even had a sink in the room! There is coffee, tea and a microwave. You don't even have to wash your own dishes :) Breakfast is like in a hotel. The location is a great starting point for Myvatn, Husavik and Akureyri. I'm sure we'll be back!
