Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Rethymno

We stayed at Niki's seaside home for 2 weeks. It's the perfect place with privacy and very quiet, especially if you have to work remote. It is 2 min from the beach and walkable distance to restaurants. Niki was a great host, very welcoming and kind and helpful whenever you need something. She provided everything, from beach towels to all kinds if ammenaties. She kindly uncludes nice welcoming gifts and she goes above and beyond to help with your requests should you need something else. Really feels like home away from home.

Everything was great, the appartment is conform to the description. Nikos is really helpfull and gives all the details by text. Thank you for welcoming us !

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in diesem Ferienhaus sehr genossen. Die Lage ist ruhig und bietet einen tollen Blick aufs Meer – perfekt, um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Das Haus ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Die Vermieter waren freundlich und hilfsbereit und haben den Aufenthalt angenehm gestaltet. Alles in allem ein schönes Haus für einen entspannten Urlaub am Strand.

Bra boende, snäll och hjälpsam värd som alltid fanns tillgänglig för oss. 10 min in till centrala Rethymno på asfalterade vägar. Värden välkomnade oss med matprodukter och vin i kylen. Boendet motsvarar bilderna. Pool och jacuzzi helt privat utan insyn (vilket inte gäller villa daphne strax bredvid oss). Vi är nöjda med allt. Enda minus är att jacuzzin inte var helt ren, vi fick göra rent den själva.

Mai 2025, 10 Nächte Aufenthalt zu dritt (2 Erwachsene, 1 Kleinkind). Die Villa ist wirklich traumhaft. Wunderschöner Blick aufs Meer und die Bucht. Sie bietet sehr viel Platz auch für mehr Personen (2 Paare, 4-6 Freunde, 2 Familien) und für längere Aufenthalte (Stauraum, Schränke und Regale, etc.). Die Ausstattung entspricht der Beschreibung und bietet, auch in der Küche, alles was man brauchen kann. Unser Highlight war die überdachte Terrasse. Unser Flug wurde kurzfristig vorverlegt. Ein deutlich früherer Check-In war in unserem Fall überhaupt kein Problem. Stelios ist ein sehr freundlicher, hilfsbereiter und engagierter Gastgeber. Wir empfehlen Ihn und seine Villa ohne Einschränkung weiter. Kleine Einschränkung: die Unterkunft ist etwas ab vom Schuss bzw. die Region ist etwas zersiedelt (hauptsächlich wegen der Geographie des Geländes). Ohne eigenes Auto wird es etwas schwierig unserer Meinung nach. Einen kostenfreien Parkplatz direkt am Haus gibt es aber.

Very nice modern house (less than five years old?) overlooking the sea. Everything in very good working order, including powerful air conditioning in the bedrooms. Frequent cleaning of the pool area was a benefit, particularly when a storm had come in the night before. Very convenient to Rethymno as well as to several bakeries and restaurants towards the centre of the island.

Ce logement est incroyable! Cleopatra nous a reçu en personne, avec des présents pour nous. Elle nous a présenté le logement avec passion, nous a emmené sur la charmante petite place du village, expliqué les diverses activités et spots environnants. la vue depuis LES terrasses est à couper le souffle (vue plongeante sur la mer depuis les hauteurs). la maison est parfaitement équipée, il y a plus de salle de bains que de chambres. La situation géographique est idéale pour visiter toute la zone centre sud de l île, que l on chercher le calme et l authenticité. pour de plats typiques et pas cher, rdv à la taverna Platia sur la petite place pleine de charme du village. Dommage que l on ne puisse mettre que 5 étoiles maximum! Nous reviendrons, c est promis.

Bel maison dans un village crétois, proche de la côte Sud, mais loin de l’agitation et du Nord trop touristique. Xavier et super réactif et c’est très appréciable ! Il faut le souligner ! Maison confort à deux pas de la meilleure taverne. Je conseille le logement de Xavier sans hésitation

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt bei Georg sehr genossen. Besonders der Garten war so toll für unsere zwei Jungs mit viel Auslauf und tollen Spielmöglichkeiten. Wir wurden mit leckerem Olivenöl und frisch geplücktem Salat verwöhnt und konnten Granatapfel aus dem Garten naschen. Die Kommunikation mit Georg war immer einwandfrei und schnell. Er und seine Familie waren immer stets bemüht und so freundlich. Wir durften sogar bei der Olivenernte zuschauen und haben so viel darüber von Georg gelernt. Die Umgebung ist toll, um verschiedene Ausflüge zu unternehmen. Wir können Georgs Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen.

Die Unterkunft war sehr schön und wie beschrieben. Daniela war sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit. Uns hat nur etwas mehr Kochausstattung gefehlt, da wir gelegentlich kochen wollten und mit einer Pfanne dann etwas begrenzt waren. Grundsätzlich können wir das Appartement aber sehr empfehlen und kommen gern wieder. Vielen lieben Dank.

Abbiamo avuto il piacere di soggiornare nell’appartamento di Rena dal 26/5 al 2/6/‘25 ed è stata un’esperienza fantastica! L’appartamento era come da descrizione ma la vista dal terrazzo ha superato anche le aspettative! Purtroppo non abbiamo potuto conoscere Rena personalmente ma è sempre stata presente ad ogni nostra richiesta, ci aveva avvisati in anticipo che il Market del paese sarebbe stato ancora chiuso così abbiamo potuto premunirci di spesa prima di arrivare ma lei comunque ci ha fatto trovare in casa di tutto (grazie ancora!). In casa è presente ogni tipo di accessorio utile per la cucina ma anche delle accortezze che non avevo mai trovato in altre occasioni! La strada per raggiungere questo piccolo Paesino è parecchio tortuosa ma noi stavamo così bene lì che ci siamo spostati solo una volta. Ci sono 2/3 spiagge (dove spesso eravamo da soli) raggiungibile con una bella passeggiata in mezzo al nulla respirando il profumo dell’origano! Speriamo di poterci ritornare!

Vi kom svært sent men ble tatt hjertelig i mot av Marias skjønne mor, med hjemmelaget kake og varm velkomst. Flott leilighet 2 min fra stranden med veldig hyggelig strandbar og solstoler. Privat parkering ved leiligheten, butikker og alt en trenger i nabolaget. Buss inn til Rethymnon rett over gata. Maria var svært hjelpsom med anbefalinger og annet, og fulgte opp underveis i oppholdet. Kunne ikke hatt en bedre husvert. Vi kommer så gjerne tilbake, og anbefaler stedet til andre.

Our family had a wonderful time here. The room was perfect and spacious for our family and everything we needed. The little play set outside entertained the kids a lot and is steps from the beach and excellent restaurants. We had a wonderful time!

Maryellen communicated really well before and during the stay. The house is a fantastic location but you need a car or taxi to get to local restaurants and into Chania. Maryellen even booked the taxi for us to Chania. The house is fully equipped with everything. The views are amazing over looking the sea. The outside space is great with magical pool. It’s on a hill so probably not suitable for people who find it difficult with stairs and because the pool is an infinity pool you would need to be careful of children in the pool. The house is private and in a quiet location. We will be going back, one of the best Airbnb we have been to.

Meine Freundin und ich hatten eine wundervolle, entspannte Zeit in Kalamaki. Die Unterkunft war perfekt für uns. Wir haben jeden Tag den Meerblick mit Sonnenuntergängen und die Ruhe genossen. Genial war auch der kurze Weg zum Strand, den Restaurants oder Supermarkt. Die Kommunikation war von Anfang bis Ende perfekt. Wer einen entspannten Urlaub in einer ruhigen, aber genialen Lage sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Die Gastgeber können wir definitiv weiterempfehlen.

Fabulous Manolis and his family were wonderful, they were incredibly kind when meeting us upon arrival and very helpful throughout our stay - always responding to queries quickly and offering useful advice about the local area. The apartment is in a great location being a short walk from the sea, shops and the old town. The view from the balcony is gorgeous, with the fort to the east and coastline to the west. The apartment was clean and well stocked offering all we needed for a week long holiday.

This place is a treasure. The views from the living room and kitchen are spectacular. The house has many clever features that are well designed. The area around Almyrida is fun to explore--go down to the beach or on a hike along the coast. Almyrida is a cute beach town, very welcoming. And we did several further from the town adventures. We had no idea that Crete has so much to offer--pottery in Margarites, beautiful beaches, intense hikes, exceptional museums, exploring Hania's historic streets. The property management team were wonderful to interact with. We felt so fortunate to find such a gem. Thank you!!! We sure hope we can return.

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in der Villa. Alles war perfekt; die Villa ist einfach fantastisch und der Pool war unser absolutes Highlight😍. Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt. Die Unterkunft hatte alles, was man sonst auch so zu Hause braucht. Wir würden empfehlen, ein Auto zu mieten, um die Umgebung und die Insel zu erkunden. Während unseres Aufenthalts wurde die Villa gereinigt. Die Unterkunft war bereits bei unserer Ankunft sehr sauber. Wir haben nichts an der Unterkunft auszusetzen und können Argyris’ Unterkunft definitiv weiterempfehlen. Er selbst ist sehr hilfsbereit und antwortet schnell auf Fragen.

Das Haus besticht durch seine großen Fenster, die einen wunderschönen Blick auf das Meer ermöglichen.vor allen Fenstern verschiebbare Fliegengitter, sodass auch bei 40 Grad Außentemperatur ein gutes Raumklima herrschte.Ein Highlight war der Sternenhimmel, den wir auf der Matratze auf der Terrasse( unter sicherem Moskitonetz) genießen konnten.Federico hat uns jeden morgen mit frischen Eiern, Ziegenjoghurt sowie Honig und Olivenöl bestens versorgt. Der Umgang war ausgesprochen freundlich und seine Tipps waren ausgezeichnet. Insbesondere die Taverne Agios Georgios , ein bisschen individuell, flower power und mit hervorragender Küche werden wir vermissen.

We LOVED this place!! The villa, the location, and the hosts Eleni and Georgios are all fantastic. The house is stunningly designed inside and out, for both functionality and luxury. The kitchen is supremely well-equipped, beds comfortable, bathrooms and living spaces airy and stylish. We appreciated the multiple terraces, beautiful swimming pool and sauna with a view! The location is perfect without a car: easily walkable to bars, restaurants and supermarkets in Plakias, but situated at the best, quietest, wildest end of the bay, with sandy beach, clear water, a couple of cool beach bars for sundowners and a beautiful walk on the headland. If you do have a car, there are amazing beaches nearby (Skinaria is gorgeous), and walking (and cold swimming) in the Kourtaliotiko Gorge. Eleni and Georgios are amazing hosts: communicative, friendly, thoughtful, offering local recommendations and dealing with any questions or issues efficiently - thank you! 🤩

Our stay at Villa Castellum was amazing! The villa is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful views. The hammam added an extra touch of luxury and made our stay even more relaxing. We stayed here for a family vacation, and it was just what we needed. The beach and the village are only a 10-minute drive away. The house had everything we needed—nothing was missing, and everything was thoughtfully provided. Maria was incredibly kind and helpful—she responded quickly to all our questions and made our stay truly enjoyable. Thank you, and we will definitely come back!

We had an amazing stay at the villa! Everything was exactly as described – clean, well-equipped, and in a beautiful, quiet location. The host was super helpful and always quick to respond whenever we had a question. We felt very welcome and had a relaxing, unforgettable week. 100% recommended – we’d definitely come back!

We stayed at the house as a group of 5 and had the most amazing time. The house is spacious, has a big kitchen with all necessary supplies and had a lot of room to sit together, a perfect place for each time of the day. And not to forget about the amazing view!!! Worth to highlight is that there were a lot of extra supplies in the house like olive oil, raki, etc. We enjoyed that a lot. Also the outside area was cleaned everyday and the bathrooms were cleaned once during the stay. We didn’t miss a thing and can highly recommend staying in this amazing house with great hosts!!

Beautiful peaceful relaxing villa for a getaway. Close enough to larger centre. The place was spotless on arrival, with some treats on the table. Wonderful view, nice pool area The host was very helpful, brought us a wonderful Greek dinner one evening. Top notch Would definitely return to this place
