Beachfront vacation rentals in Rethymno

It was absolutely amazing. Beautiful views from veranda. Gorgeously traditional house. A step away from a lovely beach. It was up a short, steep hill, perfect for us but might not be for everyone.

We stayed at Niki's seaside home for 2 weeks. It's the perfect place with privacy and very quiet, especially if you have to work remote. It is 2 min from the beach and walkable distance to restaurants. Niki was a great host, very welcoming and kind and helpful whenever you need something. She provided everything, from beach towels to all kinds if ammenaties. She kindly uncludes nice welcoming gifts and she goes above and beyond to help with your requests should you need something else. Really feels like home away from home.

Great place, great communication and great location!

This was the best Airbnb we've stayed at. Lovely village with restaurants, a bakery and markets for most of what you'd need. On arrival the house had been generously stocked with more than we expected. Argiro and her family were very kind and helpful. Definitely recommend Iro House. Thanks so much Argiro, we will be back!

We spent the most lovely time at Nikos place with our baby and friends. The villa is located directly by the sea with a spectacular view. We enjoyed really enjoyed our breakfasts watching the waves and listening to the ocean so much. The place is very quiet and private. Nikos is the most welcoming host and gave us great directions for the island. We can definitely recommend staying there! Thank you so much for having us.

Elizabeth and Lily's place is absolutely gorgeous. The house was impecable. Super clean. Very spacious, lots of bright light, and also has automatic dark shades. Towels were super comfortable, you get both shower and beach towels. We had a welcome basket with bread, jam, honey, there was fruit and water bottles in the fridge. Super attentive host. The house is probably the best one in the complex. Excellent view of the ocean, you can see some magnificent sunsets right from the balcony. There is also a terrace where you can have breakfast/coffee. The pool is super close, clean and gated with a keypad. Very secure area. Absolutely loved it. I wish I was there still. Will definitely go back and highly recommend it to everyone!

The place was exactly what we expected. Quick access to our walks . Downtown is within walking distance. We had a pleasant stay. Great hosting. Looking forward to returning.

I had an incredible stay at Giorgos' apartment! The sea is literally the backyard, and starting every morning with the sound of the waves and finishing the day with a breathtaking sunset was definitely a highlight. The apartment itself is very comfortable, and falling asleep to the soothing sound of the ocean waves was just perfect. It's an easy and beautiful 30-minute walk to Chania town, and the WiFi was great for working remotely. Giorgos was an amazing host, going above and beyond to ensure all our needs were met. This is definitely one of the best Airbnbs I've stayed in – highly recommend!

We had a very nice time. The accommodation is clean, very well equipped and the grounds are also beautiful. The small playground was the highlight of the 3 families who were there with us and our son also had a lot of fun. Manolis is super nice and responds to problems and questions within minutes. His parents live on the property, also speak English and welcomed us warmly and also brought delicious feta pockets one evening. The accommodation is 1 minute's drive from the expansive beach. However, we did not walk with a small child on the street. It didn't bother us any further, but I would like to mention it anyway: The house is located next to a road. Although this is not very busy, you can hear the cars, especially when sitting on the terrace. In the apartment itself, it was no problem.

Paradise! The villa was in pristine condition, super clean light and airy. The space is huge, big enough for a large family but also just right for the 3 of us that stayed. Villa is private and offers a nice homey feel to feel connected to your loved ones while still on vacation where you can prepare meals and enjoy them together outside at the table by the pool. Beach is beautiful and just a few steps away. I enjoyed my stay and will absolutely be back

Incredible stay, stunning villa, lovely to walk into the little town, and a brand new restaurant opened called ‘Dusk’ a few minutes walk away which was 11/10. We adored the hot tub, luxury, all the little touches. Juicer for fresh orange juice and funky toaster. Thank you Crete is exquisite 💖💖💖

The villa is lovely and has everything you need for a holiday. Clean and well maintained. There was extra cleaning during the week. Great view of the sea and the mountains. The cars passing on the main road, which is 100m below the villa, create a slight noise, but it is not unbearable. Maria is a great host and despite the late evening time of arrival she was waiting for us with a smile. She took care of us all the time and gave us valuable advice. There was a problem with the dishwasher, which was fixed the next day as soon as I informed Maria. We had a great week and would come back again.

Me and my family stayed here for a week and had a wonderful time. The location is close to restaurants and nice beaches, yet very quiet. The villas are of new construction and extremely comfortable. The view is amazing. Highly recommended!

We had the best week here. It’s so peaceful and calm. The villa is stunning with sea views and so many areas to relax and enjoy the sun. It was incredibly well stocked and they left us lots of welcome treats and basics like bread, milk, juice, fruit, cake etc. would highly recommend!

The Hilltop Villas match the photos exactly. Modern facility, tip-top maintained. Very attentive hosts. Giannis and his mother Anna were very attentive and extremely helpful. We enjoyed staying with them very much!

We stayed for a week. The place was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Was nice to have the plunge pool and loungers. Plenty of local restaurants and beaches. We had a great time.

Argyri and her husband were the best hosts I've ever stayed with, and the apartment was absolutely flawless: excellent location, close to the old city, restaurants and the beach The apartment had absolutely all the facilities: there was nothing we needed and not exist in the home. Furnished modernly and with great taste, the apartment is bright and welcoming, with a large terrace where you can drink coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. The hosts welcomed us with a cake, with fruits, wine and juices in the fridge, and upon departure they gave us local honey. Very friendly, they spent time with us and explained to us the best places to eat, what to visit around the city and in the city. it was everything I could have wished for and I can't wait to come back for a much longer period with my daughter. A beautiful location with lots to do. The house was perfect for what we needed - lovely interior, comfy sofa and bed. Had the most amazing time! Also came with a lovely taxi service - We had George and he was brilliant :) Will definitely be coming again!

Eftychia is an exceptional host, very welcoming. She had planned a lot of nice touches. The apartment is beautiful and very clean. The area is very good, close to the old town on foot. I recommend it!

Very nice, well-appointed, bright and very clean apartment with a superb airy terrace with a shaded area that allows you to have lunch and dinner outside while enjoying the view. The listing description and photos are accurate. Nikolaos is very welcoming yet discreet. He gave us some great recommendations. And kindly offered fruit and vegetables from his garden. We had a great stay. And recommend the rental.

Nikos' place was fantastic for what we were looking for, which was a stunning view and a novel atmosphere (it's built into an actual cave or niche within the cliff.) Be aware that there are a LOT of stairs to walk up, so it's not for the infirm, but Nikos was super-helpful, meeting us in the parking lot and helping us bring our bags upstairs.

Kostis has been a wonderful host and super helpful throughout many weeks before we checked in- from sending us timetables, to restaurant recommendations, to supermarkets! We couldn’t have asked for better! The place is perfectly located in the old town close to all the lovely shops and restaurants- and this apartment has everything you need! I recommend it 100%

Amazing bright apartment overlooking a square and beautiful church . We particularly enjoyed a coffee & wine on the balcony watching the local action . Spotlessly clean , the added bonus of a washing machine was great as we were in Crete for 11 days. 10 mins walk to the lovely local beach . Just perfect in every way. Can’t recommend enough . Lena was a delight and communicated without delay .
