Cabin vacation rentals in Rensselaer County

My partner and I absolutely loved our stay at this cabin. The views from the home and the surrounding area were amazing and we found ourselves just slowing down a lot on our drive there to take it all in. Our favorite parts were the hot tub which was so relaxing especially with the backdrop of nature behind us and the amazing kitchen where we cooked all of our meals each day. Most things were around 20 minutes out so it was a very stay at home stay so we really appreciated the effort they made at making the home the main attraction. The host was very communicate and helped solve a minor issue we had right away which was a great experience. Our least favorite part was having to leave! Overall we look forward to coming back again in the future to such a cozy home.

The space is luxurious and stunning even more beautiful than the photos, so thoughtfully designed and really helped us feel at home at once. Matt and Sarah were so helpful whenever we had any questions. We had such a relaxing stay and feel so grateful to have been able to enjoy the space!

We had a wonderful stay at Zak’s cabin! It’s a very cozy and private place well away from the road. It was nice and warm inside and the hot tub was lovely (make sure to start heating it a few hours before you plan on using). There were a couple things that seemed unfinished: no hand towel or toilet paper holder in the bathroom, no blinds on one of the walls, etc. but it was overall very charming. I would mainly recommend it to people that are used to camping rather than someone looking for a luxury experience: there is a compost toilet inside for #1 which you bring outside at the end of your stay, and you have to go outside to a portapotty for #2. There’s also only 35 gallons of water to begin with and you need to request instructions to refill the tank if you need more (lasted us about two days). This water is only for showering, and you have to bring your own drinking water. Very cool spot to stay! We had a great time!

Our stay in the Airstream was amazing! The cabin is beautifully done-up, with lots of thoughtful details like fresh milk and eggs from the farm. The hottub made our nights extra-relaxing, and having the farm to walk around and meet all the animals was such a nice way to spend a morning. Bring eyemasks though - the curtains are quite sheer!

Really enjoyed our time here! It was perfect for a weekend getaway.

This was exactly what we needed. We felt so comfortable and at home from the very beginning. Christine is also fantastic. She was extremely responsive , attentive, and friendly. We never actually met face to face, but we still feel like she is a friend. We will definitely stay at her place whenever we need a place in the area. We may even come back to the area just to stay at her place. I can’t imagine staying somewhere more relaxing. We fell in love with the area and the cabin. Thank you so much.

My husband and I had a fantastic winter getaway at Taborton Harvest. The common areas and cabin were cozy, warm and had everything we needed. The decor and vibes were even greater than in the photos. The views were awe-inspiring, and we were grateful for all of the amenities on the property. We rented snowshoes for the weekend and loved hiking in the snow on the trails. I could imagine staying for a week next time we’re in the area! Our hosts Justin and Kiley were responsive and so helpful during the snowstorm we had! I hope to come back to experience the warmer months here sometime soon.

Cabin is private, easily reachable, by the river, and has beautiful views. The hosts really go an extra mile to make this feel incredible. If you're looking for a cute spacious rustic getaway, this is the spot. It is rustic so make sure to bring drinking water, if you'd like to cook perhaps a water filter. Christine is great, will definitely try to stay here again soon.

This is the cutest cabin to get away from it all! The home was cozy and adorable. filled with everything we needed from the kitchen down to the game room! Perfect for families. The grounds were so beautifully kept. We will definitely visit this home again. Justine is a great host and very responsive. Thank you!

Debbie and Mark were amazing hosts and so helpful! The cabin was spotless and very cute! The river was beautiful!! Definitely coming back here when we’re in the area! (But next time I’ll have my fly fishing gear!)

This home was SO cool and unique. So many special little parts of this space. It's pretty magical, secluded and we kept looking around thinking how awesome it was. It was a simple check in, nice and clean, and a short little walk to the beach. Babcock Lake is no doubt a special place. Igor is an excellent host! Thanks for everything. Definitely will be back and recommend to a friend!

This was my 2nd time staying here and it was just as great! This time it was during the winter when I really needed to rely on the woodstove for heat. That stove gets cranking after a good layer of hot coals are established. I have to say, though, the only thing I would love to see is a damper/flue on the stove. Without those them it causes a lot of smoke to come out into the cabin when adding wood/tending to the fire. I feel it would help control the level of heat and smoke that much better. Everything else was absolutely perfect. I can’t wait for my 3rd stay.
