Vacation rentals with breakfast in Rensselaer County

Anna is so kind and warm. She makes you feel at home instantly. The place is nice, quiet and clean. I would recommend staying here if it’s available.

Our host, Rachel, was very welcoming, courteous and willing to accommodate us in anyway possible. The location was perfect for our trip. Our accommodations were just as described, clean and had everything we needed.

Super-friendly and accommodating host. I stayed here while getting my son settled nearby and it was a perfect fit. Will stay again on my next trip if available.

I usually have good luck with airbnb but Claire’s place was exceptional. The accommodations (bedroom, bathroom and sitting room) were newly renovated and set off but adjacent to the kitchen and breakfast area. The house is surrounded by beautiful gardens with multiple sitting areas. Claire is amenable and thoughtful. Her cats and the kittens she was fostering were friendly and entertaining. In all I couldn’t think of a better situation. It was convenient to my work (a 15 minute straight shot to Saratoga Springs) and so relaxing.

We booked a quick in and out mini trip from Long Island. It was so easy to get there, perfect location if you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle and need to unplug for a bit. We booked one of the larger apartments since we were traveling with 3 kids and our dog. We felt right at home, the design and decor allowed us to cozy up quickly. They put effort into the small details that provide the comfort you’re looking for when being away from home. Tons of games to play with the family, comfortable mattresses, perfect lighting, stocked kitchen. Everything you need to start a fire outside along with s’mores kits. The boys played ball and with a few other things that were provided in the outdoor bins. The kids were also very interested learning about the history of the actual hotel and location, and how the history of it has been preserved while creating something beautiful and cozy for families. The place smelled great and was spotless.

We had an amazing stay ! Thank you for everything! Wonderful place!

places great except the health club is closed and the pool is closed. Breakfast and hotel staff are good as well. Located conveniently close to Albany food co-op, Price chopper, and Hannaford plazas.

The inn was beautiful inside, the door to enter is down a little brick paved alley so it is set back from the street, which is very nice. The street itself is still a work in progress. There is still a lot of fixing up going on so it may seem a bit disconcerting, but step inside the inn and all your worries will melt away. It was quiet (because it is set back from the street) and very clean, beautiful and comfortable. We had a great night's sleep and a lovely breakfast the next morning: nice yogurts, fresh fruit and granola, juice and tea and coffee and muffins, fresh from a bakery that morning! We will certainly stay there again when we visit our son at RPI!

Staying at the Green Farm is truly a joyful and must-have experience when in the Troy area. John is an exceptional host, providing meticulous care and attention not only to his guests but to the home itself. From the beginning, you are welcomed by beautiful greyhounds and a thoughtful host who prepares the most delicious breakfast! I stayed in the John Waters room, which was amazing—very eclectic, remarkably clean, and the perfect little nook to rest after scouting around town. Whether you’re there for work or leisure, all the amenities provided are top-notch. I definitely will be going back, dreaming of another little getaway!

As the other reviews have mentioned, John is a beyond excellent host!!! And very responsive! He is also very knowledgeable and helpful regarding shops and restaurants in Troy. Nigel and Margaret (John’s greyhounds) are also very good companions at this Inn! The decor in the rooms and in the shared rooms and hallways is just beautiful and very interesting! And he serves delicious homemade breakfast! With alfresco dining as an option in the warmer weather.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I found the inn last minute and couldn’t have been more pleased. The place is gorgeous and clean. John is the most kind and gracious host, and breakfast was delicious. We stayed because we had a concert in Saratoga Springs. What a beautiful and comfortable place to come home to for the night. We hope our adventures bring us to Troy again soon.

We could not have loved the Gardner Farm Inn and John more! Everything was perfect - both our air-conditioned bedroom and bathroom were spacious, beautifully appointed, and extremely clean. The king-sized bed in our room was deliciously comfortable and quiet. Our breakfast was sumptuous and delectable. John is a delight, and went out of his way to accommodate our arrival. His two dogs are the sweetest, gentlest creatures imaginable. And you will fall in love with the 1790's era house and its amazing collection of curios. Highly recommend staying here - it's a real treat!

Our stay at the Gardner Farm Inn was not only relaxing, splendid, and fun, it was something magical. John goes out of his way to make you feel welcome and at home. He adds thoughtful touches to your stay and is very accommodating. Relaxing music plays in the background downstairs, making sitting in the living room with a glass of wine and cheese very inviting. Not to mention the food! John truly spoils his guests with a delicious breakfast. If you didn't know it, you would think you're the only guests in the inn just by the special treatment you receive. Staying at the Gardner Farm Inn was a perfect way to spend Valentine's weekend, yet something tells me a stay here is special any time of the year.
