The Snug, cosy cottage Cumbria/Lake District!

AudreyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We’d had a great stay at Becky’s place. Everything was as described and we directly felt at home. We explored the beautiful surroundings, did several hikes and felt really comfy back at Becky’s place putting a fire on. We would recommend staying at Becky’s.

Barn conversion

Absolutely fantastic stay at this gorgeous house tucked away with beautiful views. All the hiking and swimming spots we wanted to visit were a 30 minute drive at most in the Lake District and plenty of places to eat nearby. We were recommend Kirkstile Inn and we had a lovely meal here which was only a 15 minute drive. The hosts were very warm and friendly and the place itself is just beautiful with everything you could need. I could not recommend this place enough and would love to come back to explore more of the Lake District. I wished we could have stayed longer

The Place, Loweswater. Utter tranquillity.

ElizabethRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a wonderful stay at The Place. The location is breathtaking, and the house itself is perfect - every detail is beautiful and well thought-out, and Lucy had provided anything one could think of. Everything was of very high quality, from the bed linen and towels to the kitchen equipment. We were all adults, but if you have children, there are lots of toys, games, and activities, so that even on rainy days, there is plenty to do. Great walks nearby, perfect both for those who like hills and those who prefer flatter ground - Buttermere and Crummock are wonderful low ground walks, and of course the walk though Holme Woods to the Kirkstile is lovely. Thanks, Lucy and Nick!

The Retreat Farm

We had a lovely stay in Mark’s lovely quirky home! It was very comfortable, surprisingly spacious and full of character. It was a great base for us as we were meeting up with family from overseas. Would definitely recommend especially if you like peaceful out of the way places.

Livingstone's Lodge, Lake District

FlorentinaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The accommodation was cosy and pleasant, perfect for a group of 4 adults and 2 kids. We loved the field at the back of the lodge and the sheep. Would have been great if we could have checked in from 2pm or have a later check out. Thank you for hosting us, it’s a place that I’ll def recommend to my friends.

Little Meadow

What an amazing place! Susan’s home was lovely and located on a beautiful dairy farm. We were immediately welcome by her cats Lucky and Clover (who we adopted for our stay). Susan was always available to answer our questions and took us on a tour of the farm to meet the cows. The house was about 7 minutes from a great village called cockermouth which had pubs, restaurants and many bakeries. A little further and you are in keswick which is one of the bigger towns. We took a boat from there across derwentwater to the famous Catbells and also took a rowboat out on the lake. We also went for a beautiful walk around buttermere lake and a hike into the borrowdale valley. And we even popped over the border into Scotland. It was an amazing trip and a wonderful place to stay. Thank you Susan!!
