Cosy 1 bedroom cottage with woodburner

This cosy peaceful cottage is situated in an elevated position in the beautiful Shropshire hills in an AONB. It is a lovely place for walkers or cyclists alike or just for a haven to unwind . There is a private garden space which is ideal to enjoy some al fresco drinks and BBQ and a conservatory, perfect for spotting the birds feeding . We are blessed with no light pollution and the night skies are amazing and we enjoy an abundance of wildlife with curlews , hedgehogs , bats to name but a few.

The Garden Room is a private, cosy, off-grid apartment that's perfect for couples in search of a quiet break or looking to explore the area. It has basic kitchen facilities along with a king size bed, a wood burning stove and a piping hot shower. We have reliable wifi, no tv and an ok mobile signal. Lovely up here this time of year and plenty of wildlife to be seen - deer grazing in the garden early morning, nesting curlews calling as they circuit the house and everything coming into bud.

Our lodge lies in a sheltered spot above the bank of the Darnford Brook as it gently meanders along the Shropshire Way. The private garden connects with the footpath leading straight up onto the Long Mynd where you can explore the 5000 acre National Trust AONB, including the Jack Mytton Way and Offas Dyke. Alternatively, follow the byway as it makes its way towards the Stiperstones. The well maintained paths, bridleways and mountain bike trails offer fabulous opportunities for exploring.
