Great stay for some peace and quiet as it was tucked away between hills and woodland and surrounded by beautiful nature. The place was clean and clear instructions provided by the host! I definately had a restful time here and enjoyed the views from every window.

Detached cottage with views over Shropshire Hills

BarryRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Allison and Neil both greeted us as soon as we arrived , couldn't ask for nicer hosts, Allison shown us around and gave lots of information on the cottage and area , its in a very quiet location yet not far from either Shrewsbury one way or into the countryside the other way ,the scenery is terrific, we could of just stayed and not gone anywhere its so well situated, the only downside is the time went so fast and we where packing to leave before we knew it, we only stayed 2 nights , next time we will stay a lot longer so please leave us space so we can come back 😀 ,cant recommend enough , Amazing ,scenic, quiet ,well maintained and fantastic hosts .

We had a fantastic relaxing weekend at Ted’s Hut. The hut was comfy and had everything you need. There were some goodies left for us which was a lovely touch. The views were amazing. We would love to stay again.

Truly remote and unique Shepherd's Hut

CarolineRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This was our third stay at the hut, felt right at home immediately. Weather was a bit intermittent but we had plenty of room inside the hut as well as outside. Ryan has provided utensils and crockery, as well as tin opener, corkscrew, spatula and serving spoon. There is a wood burning stove inside and a little portable gas stove and canisters plus a large kettle which can boil on the wood burner or little gas stove. We bring our own stove and pans etc. It's a walk from the car to the hut, so bring things that are easy to transport. No electricity but there is a little bedside light and a charge pack provided plus the outdoor fairy lights to help guide your way- though definitely bring a torch! lovely views of the hills from the hut.

The Old Factory, Carding Mill

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful location. The apartment was extremely clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The walks from the front door were varied to suit all. We enjoyed our end of walk cake treat from the National Trust cafe next door but one. Would definitely recommend staying at this amazing place.

Bog Farm Cottage, Stiperstones, Shropshire Hills

SarahRating, 5 stars1 week ago
A peaceful stay in beautiful surroundings at Bog Farm, just what we were looking for! All you can hear from the window is birdsong and the distant bleating of sheep - such an escape! The property was immaculately presented and clean. Karen provided lots of information about local walks; we particularly enjoyed the hike to the Devils chair. Would absolutely stay here again!

Ashes Cottage - Unique off-grid AONB location

MatthewRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Super friendly hosts went out of their way to enable us to stay (emergency repairs made) and to make our stay really special. It was our 40th wedding anniversary and they gave us thoughtful and lovely gifts to help us celebrate. The cottage is really beautiful in a great setting and it was so clean and well appointed that we felt like we were the first to stay there. Passers-by were taking photographs of the cottage as they obviously saw it as of equal merit in their photo album as the hills and stream. The valley is a splendid backdrop and after about 5PM feels like it belongs exclusively to the cottage. A drive to the top of the Long Mynd (yes, we drove! old knees, sorry!) was rewarding by an encounter with a wild mare and foal - the mare came to the open car window and let me stroke her - a special moment. Avoid Shrewsbury's out-of-town shopping centre on a Saturday! Everything else around is lovely.
