Nice place to stay with plenty to see around! I worked remotely here and enjoyed the kitties daily visits on the back porch! In unit laundry was wonderful and having all the appliances I needed- kettle, microwave! Thanks for the great stay!

Beautiful home in a quiet and peaceful location. Nice base to go to key locations in the south. Grocery and vinbutin within about 15 mins so very easy to grab supplies. House is well appointed with everything you might need. Comfortable beds and lots of towels. Enjoyed the hot tub and the bird life- we had a Eurasian oyster catcher family with 2 chicks who were darling. Would definitely stay again- highly recommend this one.

WOW! That is the best description of Geirthruder's place. Maybe even more perfect than the photos. A perfect location to easily check out the Golden Circle The layout of her house is great with the living area dividing the two bedroom areas. Easy entrance, over-the-top kitchen, cozy woodburning fireplace, presitine in every way.... and THE VIEW!!! And the quiet!!! We cooked a good bit, just for fun. There is an amazing food market just a few minutes away (which was a highlight of our stay), Little Farmers Market. Staying at Geirthrudur's is a must!!!

Secluded place. Felt a bit sketchy on our way to the house because of dark roads (we arrived super late ~10pm). Booked with the hope we would see northern lights but we didn’t due to weather. Decent home. Things to note: Steep and narrow stair steps. Shower space is very small so if you’re a bigger person you might feel claustrophobic. Still a solid choice for privacy.

Burma’s beautiful home is ideal for anyone who wants two bathrooms (hard to find in Iceland) and plenty of space. It’s in a quaint small town very close to the Golden Circle and not far from Selfoss, which has more substantial amenities. Easy drive to Gullfoss and Geysir, and a small grocery is within walking distance of the house. The views from the sunroom are beautiful. The kitchen is modern, functional, and spacious. The outdoor area, including the hot tub, is wonderful in the evening. The nearby restaurants, including those in Reykholt, are wonderful! We highly recommend this place for people who want extra space and don’t want to stay in the busy capital city. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Super dejligt hus. Vi var der med 3 store børn og mine forældre og der var fint plads til alle. Der var alt hvad vi havde brug for og meget dejligt varm udendørs spa. Der var dejligt varmt i huset og fint rent. Meget lækkert sengetøj og senge, og dejligt med vaskemaskine og opvasker. Meget sød og hjælpsom vært. Gåafstand til at se på heste. Kan klart anbefales.

This place is an absolute gem! We spent thoroughly enjoyed this secluded home. The hot tub was perfect for enjoying an evening outside. The wood burning stove kept us warm and cozy. Everything was wonderful.

We loved the cosy cabine a lot! There was everything and more what we needed! The surrounding is beautiful, we loved the islandic horses close to the cabine and playing in the nature. The interior is lovely. There are some games we played. The beds are comfortable! Easy check in. From here we started some Trips to waterfalls or the Grand Geysir, super easy. The Kids had a great time playing outside. We did our grocerys before in Sellfoss. We had a great stay and can highly recommend this cabine! Thank you!!!

Das Cottage von Siggy ist mit allem was man braucht ausgestattet und gemütlich eingerichtet. Ein Highlight ist der Hot Tub. Die Lage ist perfekt alle Sehenswürdigkeiten in unmittelbarer Nähe. Wir hatten einen schönen und stressfreien Aufenthalt im Brekkan Cottage. Kann es weiterempfehlen.

this rental was so perfect it was hard to leave to go out and explore because we just wanted to be here! it was close to a lot of attractions, and not far from the airport. next time i would stay for longer because it was such a peaceful and beautiful place to just relax.

What a beautiful cabin! Spacious and well appointed in a gorgeous woodland setting. Jón was always responsive and even arranged help for us when we got stuck - our fault, the driveway is on a slope and a 2wd car cannot cope when it’s snowy and icy. We found out the hard way and got stuck! Jón was so helpful though and despite our somewhat adventurous arrival we had a wonderful stay. Glorious auroras viewed from the fabulous hot tub were the icing on the cake! Highly recommended.

Superbe cabane dans un environnement paisible, entourée d'arbres. Le logement est très bien équipé et le jacuzzi est un vrai plus. Ambiance cosy et nombreuses petites attentions des hôtes. Dommage que certains autres clients ne soient pas très soigneux et laissent de la vaisselle sale dans les tiroirs. Merci Aron et Nina, nous reviendrons avec plaisir !

Dette stedet er virkelig å anbefale. Vi leide hytten med alle fasiliteter, i tre dager og hadde dette som utgangspunkt for fantastiske turer ved Den gyldne sirkel. Mange av severdighetene ligger en kort kjøretur unna. Det er en egen privat geotermisk badestamp utenfor hyttedøren, som varmes opp på ca 40 min! Overraskende! Veldig positivt når man har med barn på ferie. Positivt er restauranten som ligger ved siden av hyttene. Enkelt om man har vært på tur og ønsker et måltid. Vi kommer gjerne tilbake!
