Nice place to stay with plenty to see around! I worked remotely here and enjoyed the kitties daily visits on the back porch! In unit laundry was wonderful and having all the appliances I needed- kettle, microwave! Thanks for the great stay!

This house is beautiful and the view is amazing. We loved soaking in the hot tub while gazing at the glacier in the distance, surrounded by trees. There are stairs to access the house, but we were able to navigate them just fine. The nearby town had a lovely spa, Laugarvatn Fontana, that we enjoyed, and we recommend the restaurant Linden. We stayed two nights and wish we could have stayed longer. The host was responsive and friendly. Highly recommend!

Björgvin is a great host and his place was everything our group was looking for. Remote house, with a hot tub, grill and good vibes. The location and the view from the terrace is beautiful with only a few minutes drive to the nearest town. Björgvin was really friendly and offered his assistance if we needed anything which was a nice touch.

we spent three nights in a very pleasant accommodation close to many sites. it is very well equipped, quiet and we were able to see northern lights from the sofa through the glass windows of the living room. we highly recommend this accommodation! thank you for the welcome and the ideas for visits nearby!

This house was perfect. The hostesses met us when we arrived, gave us instructions on things they wanted us to make sure we knew (for safety and such due to the temperatures), and spent around 2 hours giving us a tour and history of the house. It was absolutely perfect for what we needed and they were so thoughtful with all of their recommendations for activities with our children. We 100% recommend this house to others and we will be coming back in the future!

Burma’s beautiful home is ideal for anyone who wants two bathrooms (hard to find in Iceland) and plenty of space. It’s in a quaint small town very close to the Golden Circle and not far from Selfoss, which has more substantial amenities. Easy drive to Gullfoss and Geysir, and a small grocery is within walking distance of the house. The views from the sunroom are beautiful. The kitchen is modern, functional, and spacious. The outdoor area, including the hot tub, is wonderful in the evening. The nearby restaurants, including those in Reykholt, are wonderful! We highly recommend this place for people who want extra space and don’t want to stay in the busy capital city. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Traveling with a group of nine family members, we needed a place that could accommodate a range of ages ( the youngest was 5 and oldest 73). Elin's place was absolutely perfect. Incredibly comfortable, clean, well designed and in a great location to explore the Golden Circle and beyond. She left us coffee ( and incredible find after a long journey), the perfect hot tub and a garage filled with fun activities for the kids, alongside a beautiful yard and back deck. There was nothing we lacked while staying at Elin's and returning to her her lovely home was a wonderful respite after busy days of adventure and exploring. We made dinner several times and she made check in and check out incredibly easy. I also really appreciated the list of suggestions and information she provided during check-in. I can't recommend this spot enough and would certainly stay again if I return to Iceland ( and I hope to!).

I definitely recommend this beautiful and cozy cottage with a thermal pool, surrounded by beautiful Icelandic nature. The owners were always very friendly and helpful 😊

We stayed here with 8 people for Christmas and it was beautiful! Great space to gather and spend time together. A relatively close drive to many attractions, and a very clean space. The hosts are so friendly and were responsive to our (many) questions. I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting with a large group!

We had a great time staying in this beautiful home! The beds were comfy, and it was in a perfect location. If you have little ones traveling with you, look no further, this is the perfect family home. Silja was a wonderful host and very helpful as well as accommodating! This was also a perfect place to view the northern lights from the comfort of the home. We will definitely be looking to stay here on our future trips.

Absolute stunning view, very easy to find. Felt right at home. Had the most peaceful time. Hot tub was very nice at the end of the day after a long day of adventures. Perfect location felt like it was in between everything we wanted to see. Clear view of the Westman Islands from the deck. Would 10/10 stay here again. A very cozy little “cabin” with very thought out decor and pieces to make it feel homey. Our little family of 4 enjoyed our stay sooo much. Thank you!

This is a beautiful house with very nice surroundings and mountain views. The house had everything we needed for a pleasant and enjoyable stay. Being there was peaceful and the silence was amazing. The house is well insulated and was warm, despite the cold northerly wind we had, very nice floor heating and fire place. The house is an architectural marvel filled with very nice artwork.

Our stay at this Heathland Lodge was, without a shadow of a doubt, an absolutely exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in a sense of privacy and serenity that is truly rare. The lodge itself is a masterpiece of wonderful Scandinavian minimalist design, where every detail, every texture, and every carefully chosen furnishing whispers (no, screams!) understated luxury. It's clear that immense thought and care have gone into creating a space that is not just beautiful to behold, but incredibly comfortable and restorative to inhabit. The location is simply breathtaking, offering amazing and uninterrupted views of the surrounding lava field. We stayed at Hallfrìður’s place at the end of September and all I can say is wow! The space was amazing, we chose to mainly self cater and the lodge was kitted out with everything we could possibly need. It is situated in a small, quiet town with stunning views and the location is perfect for the likes of the Golden Circle, Secret Lagoon, snowmobiling at Gullfoss and snorkelling at Silfra. A fair drive from Reykjavik but having visited Iceland before I knew we would be doing the above activities so the location for us was perfect. Hallfrìður was a great host, she gave us clear instructions on how to get to the lodge and met us there to explain how everything works, very responsive throughout. To top it all off we got some amazing views of the Northern Lights from our front door! A truly special holiday!

Really nice home - there was definitely nothing missing. Nice size for a family of 7. Wild luxury that there were towels, bed linens, shampoo, toilet paper, etc.

WOW! That is the best description of Geirthruder's place. Maybe even more perfect than the photos. A perfect location to easily check out the Golden Circle The layout of her house is great with the living area dividing the two bedroom areas. Easy entrance, over-the-top kitchen, cozy woodburning fireplace, presitine in every way.... and THE VIEW!!! And the quiet!!! We cooked a good bit, just for fun. There is an amazing food market just a few minutes away (which was a highlight of our stay), Little Farmers Market. Staying at Geirthrudur's is a must!!!
