The Cottage on the Green

The Cottage is situated on the backside of an acre parcel behind the main house. A swimming pool separates the main house from the cottage. The property is very quiet, peaceful and private. Guest have a Separate entrance. We are a retired lieutenant from a California LE agency and his wife a retired teacher who give guests as much privacy as requested. We are a short distance from the Longleaf Trace and 1.5 miles from the Barn at Bridlewood wedding venue for those attending a wedding there.

Heather was absolutely amazing in every way possible! She accommodated us from booking us girls massages to giving our bride a beautiful tan for her wedding. I would highly recommend. We felt like we have known them for years. We had an amazing time camping!

This was our 1st Airbnb experience, and it was a wonderful one. Tom was very responsive, and helpful in familiarizing us with the property, & also letting us know what restaurants were in the area. There were yummy snacks, and food in the fridge, a washer and dryer available for our use. The cabin was rustic, and very adorable!! My husband and I stayed 4 nights, so we could attend a church camp meeting in the area. Our only regret was that (because of our busy schedule) we didn't get a chance to really explore and appreciate all that this property has to offer. We would stay there again, and highly recommend it to anyone who loves country living - as we do.

It was a cozy place with lots of peace and quiet. Traffic on the highway was a distraction, but you can't hear it while inside. Duck Duck was super fun to watch waddling up to the porch every morning. He ate and ran. Lol! I loved the decor, especially in the sun room. Fun little getaway for me and the hubby. He fished in the pond and caught several fish, but they were released. There were lots of outdoor games available as well.

Gillian was so very friendly and her charming house was extremely comfortable and clean. We stayed for a week to visit our new grandson and found the house close to everything we enjoy. We will be taking more frequent trips there and most definately want to return to this house. Perfect experience from start to finish!

I didn’t think it could be done, but Marvin and Linda made me wish I wasn’t going to the beach! We stopped for one night to break up the trip and MAN! I feel like I’ve known them my whole life! The place was super clean, the apartment smells so good, there were snacks all around, and my kids were able to just enjoy being kids for a little while. It felt like they were excited for us to come. We can’t wait to visit again.

Small, quaint little cabin. it was quiet and serene with lots of birds and plenty of privacy. the sound of the water roaring by was pleasant. the inside was nice. there is a satellite dish for tv and a nice working A/C. the micro fridge is small but it helped our entire weekends things. we did bring a cooler for our drinks though. there wasnt many paper towels or other small complimentary kitchenware. we only had a couple issues. my main one was the mosquitoes! so many of them. I felt like I was being swarmed and stayed with a fire for the smoke to clear them out. thankfully we brought out own citronella candle and bug spray. plenty of other bugs but those were the biggest pests. also, we were out of power for 2.5 hours. everything was out of the hosts' hands though. she communicated quickly too.
