Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Province of Matera

Phenomenal location with beautiful views. Accommodations were great and communication with host was easy. I locked us out of the apartment and host was there very quickly to let us in. We rented a car and the parking is quite expensive and confusing, which our host notified us about. I would definitely recommend Daniela’s place and would come back again. It’s a very local feel, but close enough to be in the “thick of things”.

Teresa was very friendly and welcoming. The place is comfortable and has a narrow spiral staircase up to the lounge and bedroom. Trevigno has a tiny mountain town feel … the grocery store man opened up just to make us a panini …and don’t miss going to Angela’s home restaurant for outstanding food ( Teresa can book for you and you need to give 24h notice to go there )

In the heart of Matera’s quiet streets: A private home with a terrace overlooking the small square below and a rooftop terrace above. Very spacious, typical local house with all the modern comforts. Thanks to the great communication with Stefania, we were able to park the car easily and quickly made our way to the Duomo square, where Stefania was waiting for us. From there, it was just a short walk to the Airbnb. We truly enjoyed our stay in this unique setting. I would book again without hesitation.

We are super happy after our stay. Alessandro was very helpful and friendly! We received lots of recommendations on all sorts of things to do and restaurants! Would definitely recommend this home to others!

The location was fantastic - right around the corner of the Duomo, heart of Sassi. We got breakfast vouchers from the host, which we could use at the cafe nearby. Nino was friendly host and always available when we needed him!

The view was STUNNING and the appartamento felt stylish and welcoming. If you’re going to Matera, stay here. You will not be disappointed!

If you happen to pass through Matera, you must stop at Angela Maria's. She is a very responsive and very caring host. Feel free to ask him for good restaurants. We'll definitely be back.

Great location and views

Luciano is awesome, the apartment is awesome, and Matera is awesome. We stayed for 6 nights and loved every minute! The view of the Sassi from the small balcony is something we spent hours enjoying and will never forget. It was fun to stay in a cave and yet enjoy modern amenities. Luciano left us great reading material about Matera and made excellent recommendations for food and sight seeing. We would not hesitate to stay again if we are lucky enough to come to Italy again. Thank you, Luciano, for giving us the opportunity to experience such a magical place.

Carmelita's place was amazing! located conveniently - walking distance to old town and there are parking spaces around. Carmelita has been super helpful in answering all our questions, would recommend if you are visiting Matera!

Fabulous! From Maria's homemade treats for weary travellers to Franco's detailed welcome. The property has everything and more, and a short stroll to the historical centre. Highly recommended.

The most hospitable host imaginable. Cosimo was so friendly and welcoming. He shared so many local recommendations and went above and beyond in every aspect of ensuring we had a comfortable and wonderful stay. A host that truly wants his guests to feel at home. The property was clean and very-well located just outside the Sassi. You will be happy if you choose to stay at Cosimo's place!

The 3 large rooms were so comfortable, and the living room and kitchen were also very great. It was easy to find because it was on the side of the road, and it was nice to move my luggage because there was an elevator. Security was good and it was very quiet at night. It took about 10 minutes to walk to the historic site, and the owner was very friendly.

Fantastic place to stay would highly recommend

Ideally located accommodation in a peripheral neighborhood without through traffic and yet very close to the center, which is easy to reach on foot. The apartment is stylishly furnished and there is everything you need. On the small balcony, we each had breakfast and enjoyed the view of the old town and the countryside. Perfect location with nearby parking. Walking distance to restaurants and the primary historic center. The apartment has easy access due to an elevator.

I stayed for a few days at Anna's place with my dog. It was wonderful! Right in the middle of nature in a small village, there are plenty of trails to hike around this area. Anna and her family were incredibly friendly. Anna even took the time to show me around the village and its church! The apartment is very cozy, with a beautiful wood stove. I highly recommend!

The accommodation was impeccable: clean, well-equipped and in a good location. Nino communicated very well. We recommend this accommodation for visiting the beautiful city of Matera.

Emanuele's property was really clean, in good order and well organized. It was very close to the old city and parking around was ok to find ( payable ). There is a park outside and some teens gather and party until night so that made some noise but closing the windows helped a bit. The balcony was really good but had no shade made so kind of useless in the sunny hot weather Overall the property was great for a one night stay Thank you

In one of the most beautiful towns in Italy, the location, a complete apartment, was in a beautiful home. Beautiful streets and very well maintained, a good supermarket, beautiful views on all sides. Too bad the directions, because we had driven into the village on the wrong side, was no longer correct, but with the help of all people from the village we ended up getting there. Highly recommended if you like old and tranquility, the surroundings are okay, but no things nearby.

We had a lovely stay at Vito's, in a very nice apartment to live in and close to the beautiful city of Matera. We enjoyed the welcome by the cleaning lady and the breakfast table. We recommend and will be happy to come back if we go back to Matera, which delighted us.

Emilio was very helpful and responsive during our short stay. The place itself was absolutely beautiful with comfortable beds and close to many sights. I'm not sure if it was because we were there only one night and didn’t need it, but there was no cooking equipment in the cupboards, so that is something to be mindful of. Highly recommend otherwise!

Great views and host very easy to work with.

Accommodation is great for a family and parking was always available. Location is very convenient. 2mins walk to the supermarket and restaurants, 5mins to the old town. Paolo was fantastic and provided lots of useful information on sites to visit, restaurants etc.
