Romantic Hideaway Near Wells

DaveRating, 5 stars1 week ago
It’s cliché, but I really don’t write reviews often and I’m writing this one because I was so impressed. It is very clear that a LOT of attention to detail and hard work has been put into this place; it’s immaculately clean from top to bottom and the design of the place has been done exceptionally well. You effectively have a full kitchen with top quality equipment, everything is provided (you could come without anything other than your undies and still be ok) and it looks/feels like a 5* hotel. You get the entire place to yourself and you have complete privacy. The bed is comfy. The sofa and TV area is cosy. The bathroom and shower is great. Everything is brand new and not all worn or broken like some places. WiFi is easy to connect to and works really well. I’d say this place is perfect for a couple who want a romantic place to stay, in somewhere cosy and clean. The only downside to staying here is that you have to go back home! Last thing: the hosts are so friendly and nice!

The Hay Loft @ Wyke House

NicholaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We recently had a 3 night stay at The Hayloft and to be honest, could have stayed for another week. Poppy and Will are super-nice hosts, both very welcoming and approachable with really good tips for the idyllic surrounding area. The grounds of their property are beautiful and really made our stay really special. We sat outside with a coffee in the morning or glass of wine in the evening to watch the sunset which was so nice. The level of detail in their accommodation is really excellent - we loved the cast iron roll top bath and the bed was super comfortable. Their doggy, Daphne, is delightful and our dog Monty loved tearing round the beautiful grounds with her. We very much hope we can stay again. Thank you Poppy & Will :)

The Udder Shed with stunning views.

CathRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Our 4th time at The Udder Shed. We just love it. So peaceful and private. We used it as a work retreat. Great wifi and a table to work at. It really was a perfect chance to focus on some work projects and relax a little. We'll be back.
The living area features a spacious gray sectional sofa, accompanied by a wooden coffee table. A soft rug sits beneath the table, and warm lighting illuminates the room. An open-concept kitchen can be seen in the background, showcasing modern appliances against a neutral color palette.

Bluebell cottage

Fantastic, albeit short, overnight stay at Bluebell cottage. It was comfortable, clean and the little touches helped us enjoy a lovely morning coffee whilst strolling the beautiful garden. Just a few minutes away from a wonderful bakery too (Lievito)

Field view en-suite room nr Pilton

JaneRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We were so lucky to find Natalie's place for a lastminute stay. She was super flexible and helpful with our check and we were impressed with the quality of the coffee and tea station and general styling of the room. It was the perfect spot for us and super easy to access. Natalie was even kind enough to find us an iron and ironing board on short notice so we didn't turn up to our event looking a mess! A great spot convenient for Pilton and Glastonbury and we'd stay again next time we're visiting our local friends!

Scrumper's Rest | Ditcheat Hill Farm

CatherineRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We loved our 1 night stay. We were met by runner ducks on arrival which was very sweet. The space was extremely clean, lovely bedding and a comfortable bed. Even the outdoor chairs were spotless! The surroundings were very peaceful and we loved how private it was. Only thing to mention was the wood was a bit damp so our fire was hard to get going - but we appreciated the fire supplies were provided! Thank you for a perfect stay! Would recommend to anyone 😊

We are very grateful to Gill for accepting our request to stay at very short notice. We loved the quaint feel of the cottage and felt very comfortable. Lovely bed linen and excellent shower with the added bonus of Pears soap to extend the experience of living in a period cottage.
