It was a total pleasure staying at Gillian and Wayne’s! They were great hosts, always responsive and helpful. The place was spotless and very well presented! Gillian and Wayne also left lots of useful information around the house to make our stay as convenient as possible. The place was filled with plenty of supplies and the hosts even left us cookies and a bottles of Prosecco to enjoy. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for a peaceful beachside retreat!

A lovely time was had over the bank holiday weekend at The Nest. The hut was exactly as described and included everything that we needed as well as being comfortable and cosy. Both pubs within the area were friendly and welcoming and we enjoyed a lovely local walk along the old railway line. We had a delicious roast lunch at the Spyway Inn which is just a short 10 minute drive from the hut with a lovely pub garden overlooking the Dorset countryside. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt very welcomed by our hosts. The hot tub was a particular highlight and the perfect way to relax and unwind at the end of the day. Would definitely recommend staying here and hope to return in the future!

Poorton House is the most idyllic, chocolate box, thatched cottage of dreams - straight out of a fairytale. Despite being very old, the house is extremely cosy and styled to perfection, with an abundance of mod cons. If you’re looking for a peaceful, relaxing break in Dorset this is definitely the place to be. Our family had a magical stay, thank you!
