Middleburg/Upperville-Stunning,renovated cottage

EleanorRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a fantastic stay at Nick and Liz's place. The house was perfect for two couples, allowing us our space and own bathrooms and great communal areas to hang out. It was an easy 6 minute drive from the house into Middleburg, and Nick and Liz provided great local food recommendations. We were just there for a weekend for a wedding and found ourselves wishing we could extend our stay.

Above & beyond! The home was in a great spot with an excellent price. Tim was extremely accommodating with our requests and communication was perfect. The refrigerator was stocked with eggs and butter. The cupboards were stocked with staples and all the supplies we needed - toilet soap, shampoo, Kleenex, paper towels, bath towels, snacks, granola bars, etc. We would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone and would use again. Thank you!

The Enchanting Lavender House

BrianRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The Lavendar House is a delight! An old farm home with tons of charm and private tranquility. A treasure spot for visiting Gettysburg. Our family of 5 stayed comfortably and wished we could have stayed longer. More sunrise coffees on the porch in the morning admiring the horses; more homemade dinners around the kitchen table enjoying time together. Lisa was so kind to provide fruit, fresh eggs, juice, coffee, chocolate milk, and cookies!! We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you, Lisa, for making your home available to families like us who very much appreciate the opportunity to enjoy it.

THE INN ON CAPITOL HILL

AbigailRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This is THE place to stay in DC. Only a 15 minute walk to the Eastern Market and Union Metro Stations or a ~5min bus ride. We felt right at home in this cozy little apartment, like staying with a friend or relative. Sherry greeted us the evening we got in and gave us a quick tour of the place and lots of great recommendations. Took a little getting used to the bed the first night (we are used to memory foam) but after one day of walking around DC we had no trouble sleeping! This is by far the best Airbnb we have stayed in, and we travel a couple times a year. Next time we come back to DC, Sherry's place will be our first choice!

This place was in a great location! One block from the metro and a nice bar/restaurant called Bullfeathers very close by. We would stay here again. The only addition I would ask John to consider is to add a small cutting board to the kitchen. John was a great host as he left us a wide assortment of snacks, answered our questions quickly and he left us detailed information with a map to help us even more. Thanks John we had a great time!

Heart of Sykesville! 2 Bedroom Suite! Walk to town

SelenaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
My partner and I both stayed here during my visit to MD. I absolutely loved this home. It was decorated beautifully and had everything we needed. The beds and blankets were so soft and it was a peaceful stay with our own entrance/exit. Denise was extremely kind and helpful, even reassuring me when I accidentally broke a magnet clip. My partner and I adore this home and will be staying here again if its available for our next trip. Here is what my partner had to say: Okay so some things i wanted to talk about: the catering was LOVELY. Great assortment of snacks and even a delicious maryland pastery that I didnt know existed (as a maryland native) Such clean, caring, and kind people that really did think of everything. One little note, if you are tall at all, there is a hanging lamp in the living room. Do NOT walk with your head down. Or you will bump into it. I had some close calls being 6'3 haha. Not a demerit on there end but something to be cautious of nonetheless!

Breakfast, Free Parking & Easy Walk to Mall, Wharf

JonathanRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Bruce and Vania's home was exactly what we needed during our time in DC. Very clean and accommodating, and the location is walking distance to the Green Rail, The Wharf (several food and entertainment options) as well as coffee shops and Nationals Park if you're looking to catch a baseball game. Having access to a washer and dryer was a plus as well as designated parking in front of the rental. As far as hosting goes, Bruce and Vania REALLY went above and beyond with hospitality. Vania's breakfast offerings were unmatched and more fresh compared to any restaurant we've ever dined at, and the kindness she radiated during our conversation will never be forgotten (I should insert here that we are pretty shy and reserved, yet she made us feel right at home). We look forward to staying here again someday because we will be back! Thank you again, Bruce and Vania. We appreciate you both!

Bright, Family-Friendly Home in Brightwood

NatachaRating, 5 stars10 months ago
We stayed in Katherine's place at a very difficult time - we came to DC for our son's heart surgery. We could not have been happier to be staying in such a comfortable, lovely, and truly homey place during this difficult time. The house is very practical, with a perfect lay out (it was my husband and I, our two kids, and our in laws staying at the house, and we had plenty of space). The play room and the variety of toys and books were absolutely amazing for the kids to be happy and entertained at home for hours on end, while my son recuperated from the surgery - the layout is excellent, because you can cook, or relax in the living room, while being able to monitor the kids at all times in the playroom. Katherine was very responsive, flexible and a please sure interact with at all times. The DC summer heat and mosquitos did not allow us to enjoy the backyard as much as we hoped, but in a different weather, the backyard would for sure be wonderful to enjoy.

We had a wonderful stay! The place was incredibly efficient—everything we needed was ready and available from the heaters to the well-equipped space. It was easy to access and the host was always helpful, offering great suggestions for nearby places to visit. The home was cozy, clean, and truly felt like a home away from home. Our host was friendly, welcoming, and absolutely sweet. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

We had another amazing stay at Sara’s place and already know we’ll be making this an annual tradition. The space is warm, spotless, and incredibly comfortable — it’s the kind of place that instantly puts you at ease. We loved starting our mornings with coffee, homemade treats, and those gorgeous dining room views. The swing set is such a fun touch, and the ever-expanding family of goats continue to be a favorite part of our stay. Everything about this visit was just as special as we remembered. Already looking forward to next year!

Gary was a lovely, gracious host! The room was simple, comfortable, and clean, just what I needed for my stay. Loved the antique period decor in common spaces. Gary has quite the collection! The house is very atmospheric, which I very much enjoyed. I was able to take advantage of the weekend breakfast that was prepared and it was quite the spread! Was very pleased with the whole experience.

Comfortable bdrm in 110+ yr old home w/large desk

SusanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
All the 5 star ratings are correct - the Mitchell house is fantastic and you should book right away if it is available. This is more like a bed and breakfast rather than a completely independent Airbnb. I traveled solo, staying in one room and sharing the rest of the house with Phil and his other guests. The host was helpful, easy-going and attentive to any requests. The made-to-order breakfasts were fabulous and plentiful. The house is older, but charming, comfortable and quiet. I controlled the AC/fan in my room, which worked very well. There are many restaurants, Target, etc and the Metro within 10-15 minute walking distance. The house is also a short walk to AU or pick up the Wonk bus 2 blocks from his home (if you know how). Phil has hosted hundreds of guests who are repeat customers and someday I hope to be one of them.
