Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Porter County

This location was clean, quiet and comfortable. Perfect spot for enjoying the Dunes, hiking and birdwatching. I own a non-Tesla electric vehicle and there was a reliable set of chargers (6) at the Meijer store 5 miles away.

I rented Leah's home for my son's. They love to fish and Leah's home was the perfect place. They enjoyed the pontoon boat and sitting around the bonfire. The house was clean and kitchen equipped with everything needed for their weekend of grilling. Leah was a perfect host. Thank you, Michelle

This home was very spacious for our family and extremely clean! We enjoyed walking to downtown Valpo's historic square and its cute little shops.

Tiffany and John were great host! The house perfectly matched the description and was the perfect spot for a short weekend trip. The house was very homey and had everything you could need. The big yard was a huge plus as we had our dog with us! Tiffany and John were very responsive and very accommodating throughout our stay especially when we had to add another person to our reservation half way through our stay. I would definitely recommend staying here as it definitely feels like a second home!

Great place to stay while we were visiting our grandchildren for the weekend! It was nice to have the kitchen to make coffee and breakfast in the morning. Comfortable bed and private, quiet location. Thanks again!

The house was wonderful, incredibly clean, and offered a lot of small amenities.

We had a great time! Everything was fantastic! We had a couple bonfires that were so peacful and the firepit was pretty cool. The host was so quick to respond back for anything. The whole place was clean and had good strong coffee. ;)

Cozy, homy, eclectic and peaceful place. Great host who was always very responsive and kind. Everything that we needed. We will definitely stay there again. The only negative was that the yard was in desperate need of mowing and trimming. Keep in mind, when you see this house from the outside, you will say meh...average home, but when you open the front door, you will say wow and be amazed. Hope you love trains and monkeys...which we do!

I absolutely love the place and location. The only things I would warn people there are a ton of stairs to go down to the place....very worth it, but if you have hip or knee issues probably not a good choice. The views are amazing! Would caution that if there are people upstairs renting as well, you do hear all footsteps and noise. I will be going back and maybe even rent the whole place for a family vacation! Diana’s place was everything I could have ever needed for my stay! Such easy check-in, very clean space (super cute space too), and just overall great. Diana was a wonderful communicator and reached out to see how everything was going and if I needed anything during my stay! I will ABSOLUTELY be staying at Diana’s place when I’m in town again :)

Nice studio and quiet town. There is a great library and the people who work there are very helpful. Valparaiso is 15 minutes away, and lots to do there. You cannot go wrong with Tom and Becky!

Enjoyed our brief stay. The downstairs space was clean and modern; seems that it was just recently finished, with everything new. Leticia responded immediately to a couple questions we had about entry, supplies and made us feel very welcomed. Great little studio apartment in the heart of Valpo! Hosts were friendly and flexible. Clean and cute. Private entrance. Quiet neighborhood. Single stand up shower. Comfy bed. We got a great night’s rest and loved our stay. We will be back. Thank you!

Ashley was a great host! She provided clear instructions for check-in/check-out, had nice local recommendations, and was extremely responsive. I also appreciated that she was willing to accommodate my travel dates near the last minute due to a death in my family. The unit was very clean and well-stocked. I loved the beautiful views from each window and the quiet, serene environment. Although I could hear the train at night, it was not super loud - kinda just like background noise. I actually found it to be peaceful (maybe because I’m from the city lol). Would love to visit again! :)

Peaceful and great location. My husband and I went for leisure and our first time staying at this specific place. We would definitely recommend this condo to anyone thinking about staying. Beautiful place. Well appointed and clean. The beds were a little to firm for me, but they had soft sheets. Great location for the national park and state park. We would stay again if we are in the area!
