We’ve enjoyed the stay at Tony’s apartment. It was easy to get there with very clear instructions. Ocean view was fantastic. We’d everything needed, including washing things. I would like to have some more coffee.

Very good location for exploring Funchal with only a 5-10 walk to the shops and restaurants in the centre. Very spacious for the 4 of us and great views from the balcony. Nice local bakery next door, worth a visit for breakfast.

We had a wonderful stay at Lino’s apartment. The views are breathtaking! the apartment is spacious, our favourite spot was the hammock! Lino was extremely helpful giving restaurant recommendations and responding any time we needed him. We will definitely be returning at some point soon!

Review from 2 Moms with their 2 18 year old daughters. So 4 guests in total. Everything was just fantastic. We loved our stay. Valdemar was very accommodating as we had to make a few changes last minute here and there. His father met my friend to check in and he was lovely. Brought lots of potatoes and avocados from his garden( yummy)!!! Also another tray of goodies for us as well left on the table. Apartment is very roomy, love the full kitchen, 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms. Bakery downstairs at entrance to apartment was amazing!!!! Lots of wonderful recommendations from Valdemar in each city for restaurants and things to do. Wanted to stay longer!!! Valdemar was also very accommodating with our later check out. Only small issue I had was the bed was a little hard for me personally but I still had a great stay and slept good. Felt that all 3 hosts were available to us to ask any questions and help with whatever they could. Would 100% recommend and stay again.

A fantastic stay with Emanuel for 3 weeks , my longest stay at an Air BnB and was perfect for what i was looking for. The place is exactly as described and as in the pictures. Emanuel and his mum were great with communicating and making sure all questions were answered. The location was perfect and everything was within walking distance, most day trips would pick up from outside the apartment. Would 100% stay here again when I come back and cannot recommend them enough

A nice and clean apartment with a very nice view - we had a great stay :) Tip: approach the road to the house from above, as it is very steep and narrow - the parking lot is not for large cars😉

We had a wonderful stay at the cozy pink house! The apartment was very clean and well equipped. Everything you need was there, sun terrace with sun loungers and sea view included! Check-in was also really easy and straightforward! The hostess' loving hospitality is particularly noteworthy! She is very helpful and did everything to make us feel right at home. We were warmly welcomed and given tips for the area. We will be happy to come back!

Great stay at Jose and Paula's, the co-host. The accommodation is quite isolated in altitude above funchal so the evenings are cool. The car is more than necessary. No shops nearby. The bedding is perfect . Clean, quality linens. We didn't enjoy the pool because it was a little cold for our taste… A small dishwasher available not listed in the description. Paula was very responsive to all our requests…response in less than 10 minutes each time.

We had a great stay and the location is sensational. There was everything you needed and we were also set up the travel cot before arrival.

This house is located in verry silent part of the city. Outside was cozy with nice garden, birds and stunning view to ocean. Indoor was also nice and cozy, but with bugs from time to time. Kitchen had everything we needed. Parking was available on the street, near the house. Comminication was verry good. We liked this place.

The balcony is just great! We enjoyed the view of the ocean and the sunsets. The apartment is located a bit on the slope, but is easily accessible and very quiet! Thanks for the hospitality, we would come back immediately!!

To start with, I never put 10 because perfection does not exist but I regret that we can't give a rating of 9.9!!! The house is super welcoming and perfectly equipped. There was even salt and pepper, oil and vinegar which we can't find much now, plus two “welcome presents,” which becomes extremely rare. We stayed in the northernmost room: PERFECT bedding! (Which, too, becomes very rare). In addition, the location is ideal for visiting Madeira and the sunsets in early May (Good, only 5 out of ten evenings because of the curious weather) were beautiful! The layout (bedroom + dressing room + bathroom) is also perfectly thought out. The “winter lounge” which allows you to have breakfast and dinner overlooking the sea and warm is also a plus. Perfect contact and responsiveness of the host, even at 6 am (storm and power outage)!!!. In short, a great stay

I would just recommend that you not follow the navigation route exactly on your phone. What I would say is when you are getting close that it tries to send you up a steep narrow inclining road/alley that is actually used as a one way road downhill by the locals. So if the directions take you to that road just continue on towards the west from there until you come to the next road that looks like a normal road and not an alleyway. The roads are very curvy through that area and as I mentioned you'll be heading west-ish but then road 222 curves north-ish. Once that northward drive starts to switchback you will see the road you should take, there's a bus stop structure there. You will then be turning right (north) at that intersection. Once you head up that way your navigation should reroute and get you there easily. Hope that helps, lol! I wish I could give you a snapshot of my maps, but I'm not able to do so in this review.

We were really happy with Rui‘s Appartement. It was really clean and looks like the pictures. The check in was really easy:) Sometimes we heared the the people in the Appartement above. The airport in the nearth wasnt a Problem for us. Thank you Rui

The accommodation convinces with the fantastic view - at breakfast and dinner we enjoyed the view very much! Unfortunately, the nearby main road is louder than expected. The accommodation is equipped with everything you need, especially the washing machine we have very much enjoyed using during our longer stay, in the kitchen you can also cook a little more extensively. The apartment is nicely furnished, but in some places it is a bit outdated. The apartment is located outside the city, you should definitely have a rental car, but you can reach some great hiking starting points by car a little faster.

Stephanie was a great host, super responsive and very flexible with us which was really helpful. The view from the apartment was absolutely stunning and it is a huge space, really great for groups or families travelling together.

Joana is a kind and proactive host, always available. She gave us advice for good restaurants and places to visit :) The appartment is bigger than expected with everything you could ask for. I would definitely recommend Joana‘s place! Small tip: The underground parking space and its entrance are quite narrow so try to get a smaller rental car if possible. Not kmpossible with laeger cars, but less stressfull for sure 😁

Delila was an great host. Apartment was clean with all the amenities. Location is great, close to the beaches, stores and restaurants. Bus stop is right in front of the apartment.
