Waterfront vacation rentals in Pleasure Island

Perfect, old-school beach getaway! We loved parking ourselves on the “lifeguard stand built for two” and just watching: the waves, the wildlife, the surfers, the sky…soooo relaxing and just what we needed to unwind for a few days. We loved the laid back vibe of the place and the hosts!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bob's place! It was just as advertised, clean and welcoming. The balcony over the river is where we put in the most hours, just watching the changes in the river, the various boats, and people-watching on the river walk. Everything we did was within minutes of the condo...great restaurants and shopping. Bob provided plenty of info and recommendations for eating and sightseeing. We were there on Memorial Day and could easily see the USS North Carolina lit up in red, white and blue. Even though it was cloudy/rainy most of the time, the awning on the balcony kept us dry and comfortable. A couple of time we had questions for Bob and he was immediately responsive and helpful. It was just the relaxing getaway we were hoping for! We would recommend this spot anytime for 2 guests!

The host was very responsive and the place was great all around. Views are amazing, parking is out front of the unit. This spot is one of the best for the price and worked well for three people for two nights. I will definitely stay here again when I am back in town.

We spent a beautiful and relaxing week at Wendy & Jeff's Seascape. The place is EXACTLY like the photos, the view from the balcony is a dream!! Waking up to the ocean sounds every morning is something we will never forget. The apartment is very well-stocked with all the items you need to enjoy the beach, clean up afterward (lots of hot water and good shower pressure!) and cook a delicious meal (plenty of kitchen gadgets). Very easy to walk around the neighborhood, up to the pier for quick eats, or less than a mile to the little mini-mart. Parking is easy. Area is safe. The pool area across the street was clean and fun too! The hosts gave excellent, clear instructions for arrival/departure and even checked in on us via the app during our stay. Donna's style and attention to detail make this place a showstopper. It was beautifully decorated and spotless. The communication was prompt, and we were so grateful. Unfortunately, my husband had booked a different place that looked like a good place for college kids to stay, and it was uncomfortable. We moved out and were fortunate that Donna's place was available. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen is immaculate. The dishes, pans, etc are all like new. We felt right at home. There was an outside closet downstairs with coolers, beach toys, and chairs to borrow. We highly recommend this Airbnb!

Beautiful place! The decor and overall aesthetic was so well done and picturesque. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Within walking distance to a lot of restaurants, stores, a park, and ice cream shops. Directions were clear and easy and it was nice to know that only the people that were staying in the complex had access to the pool and beach. Great stay and very kind management!

Audrey and the team were great to deal with and the apartment was exactly as described. Excellent getaway from hustle and bustle of Charlotte! Would definitely recommend.

The unit was comfortable and clean, location was key for us (access to Wrightsville Beach area) as well as being dog friendly. Walkable to restaurants is a great perk. No issues with parking availability and access to the unit was smooth/easy with the keypad entrance. Great value for the location.

This home has everything you need for a relaxing coastal stay. The beautiful deck with Adirondack chairs is perfect for watching the waves and enjoying a cocktail. The kitchen was well-stocked with essentials (like a peeler and bottle opener), which made it easy to cook meals for our family of five. The TV setup worked great for a cozy family movie night. We brought our own beach toys and chairs, but it would be a nice touch if the property offered some for guest use. The outdoor shower, easy parking and laundry downstairs completed the package! We only stayed one night but definitely would come back for longer. The beach here is gorgeous!

The 5 of us old high school pals had a stupendous time. Tons of laughter on the deck overlooking the water. Great views! The cottage had everything we needed!

Nothing beats waking up and immediately being able to see the Atlantic Ocean, great location! The kitchen has been recently redone, which was nice and spacious. The back balcony was half roofed so it was a nice place to sit away from the sun to take in the view. It was peaceful and quiet, everyone around us was respectful of everyone else’s surroundings. It was a blessing being able to take our dog with us on this trip. She felt comfortable in the house and fell in love with the beach!

Being on the beach was awesome! We enjoyed sunrises from the hot tub, going right down our stairs to the sand, walks to the pier, evenings on the deck… It was the perfect setting for our little reunion! The house is clean and comfortable with everything you might need. Location is also super convenient to food & coffee & seafood market. The only surprises were that our space was attached to another house (neighbors were very quiet, respectful, and friendly) and that we had to make our own beds upon arrival and remove bedding before check out. Overall, Emily’s house made our time with people we love even more fun & easy! She was a communicative, helpful host and we appreciate her sharing her home!

Super nice and comfortable beach cottage. Great views of the ocean. We were there on weekdays so the beach access next door was hardly used and not an issue. The only negatives we experienced were: - the ocean side porch is not covered, so no relief from the sun unless you go inside. - large bush to the west of the driveway makes visibility very difficult and unsafe to back out onto the road. Need to back into driveway (difficult with busy 2-lane road) or do a 3- point turn to get out.

We loved everything about the home and location. The pool table and river brought a lot of laughs and memories made. The hosts were helpful and very responsive. We had an amazing time and thankful for the opportunity to stay in this beautiful home.

This Airbnb at Carolina Beach, NC, was an absolute 10/10 experience. The rental was perfectly located right on the beach, offering stunning ocean views and easy access to the sand and surf. The space was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The host was incredibly responsive and welcoming, making the entire stay smooth and stress-free. We couldn’t have asked for a better beach retreat! One of the best AirBnb experiences I have ever had. :)

We loved our stay in Carolina Beach! This house is a GEM - so clean, literally steps from the beach, and slept 9 adults very comfortably! This was one of the best stocked Airbnb kitchens I’ve ever stayed in. Lindsey thought of everything. We only wish we could’ve stayed longer. Would highly recommend booking!

This is a great location for walking to the boardwalk, and we were happy to have an elevator since our group included my elderly mother and little kids. Beds were super comfortable. Carnival and fireworks at night were great. Warning to toddler parents: our two year old was able to fit his head and most of his body between the rails on the balcony (and he refused to stop doing it), so we had to make the balcony off limits. The bunk room is on the street side of the building and you can hear the music coming from the bar next door late into the night, although our kids slept fine with a white noise machine. The queen bedroom has no windows and was quiet.

Great location! It was right on the beach so you’re not dealing with a ton of traffic, but also in a safe neighborhood. It was clean, cute, and easy. I thought it was worth the price!! I would definitely recommend staying here. It’s a 6 minute drive to the main fun in Carolina Beach and just a little over 20 to where we explored in Wilmington. I’m from the area and rented for my family and I to stay in while they visited, so it’s definitely worth it location/price wise!

David and Nikki’s condo was a great place for our family of four to stay for a short week! David was quick to reply to any of my messages. Also helpful, was a binder full of restaurants including their menus and times of operation. The beach was just steps away, and the condo was bordered by two pools, which our kids loved!

The view is incredible from the balcony. We had coffee out there every morning, and my husband even spotted a dolphin! The location is amazing! The condo is walkable to so many delicious restaurants. We took nightly walks after dinner along the Riverwalk. The hosts always responded so quickly, and added nice touches such as leaving us a bottle of wine and candies. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return again.

We had a great vacation and highly recommend this condo! The rental was beautiful, very homey, updated and clean. The location can’t be beat. It was convenient getting to both the pool and the beach. It was only a couple of steps if you forgot something and had to run back. Even though the pool was shared, it was rarely crowded. The condo was well stocked, beyond your typical “enough to get started”. There were cleaning supplies, including dishwasher pods, trash bags, and laundry detergent. The kitchen was well stocked, had great appliances and all the basic cooking supplies like salt & pepper, cooking oil, coffee pods and coffee filters. The two decks were amazing. The view from the second story deck was incredible. I wish they had a table on one of the decks so we could eat meals outside while looking at the ocean, but we made do with the rocking chairs. The beds were a little stiff for our liking, but that’s personal preference. Otherwise it was amazing and we’ll be back!

Great apartment with a perfect location. The balcony had amazing views. The apartment was bigger than the pictures and easy to find. Free parking about two minute walk away. The apartment was walking distance from great restaurants and bars.

Lovely condo! Perfect size for my husband and I and the amenities provided were perfect. Check-in and check-out were easy and the private pool/beach access was awesome. Tony messaged me when they were unable to message through Airbnb to make sure I had everything I need!!
