House vacation rentals in Playa Negra

Our family (kids 3, 5, and 13) had an amazing time at Casa Neen! Eric is an excellent host and helpful with everything we needed. He has staff that is also available for things like having a private chef, laundry and cleaning if necessary. The home is comfortable and beautiful. The walk to the beach is very short and safe. We loved this particular beach because it was quiet and natural. We also enjoyed driving 10 minutes away to Playa Cocles to rent surf boards. Anywhere we wanted to go was convenient and quick to get to. Highlights of our trip was the kayak tour with Eric at Iki Tours, chocolate plantation tour with Daniel, surfing at Playa Cocles, breakfast on the beach at Iriria (get the croissants!), dinner on the beach at Beach break bar (homemade tagliatelle was delicious!), and just swimming in the pool every afternoon. Can’t wait to return!

We had a fantastic stay! The house was spotless, with large, beautifully appointed bedrooms and super comfy beds and pillows. The kitchen was spacious and fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The pool was a highlight—sparkling clean and perfect for relaxing. The entire property is walled, which made it ideal and worry-free for our small dog to roam safely. Location-wise, it’s perfect—close enough to the center for convenience, but tucked away enough to enjoy peace and quiet. Bonus points for the cute little convenience store just a short walk away. Highly recommend—would definitely stay again!

Lugar ubicado en una zona muy tranquila, fácil de llegar y cerca del centro de Cahuita. 100% recomendado para viaje familiar o entre amigos. La casa estaba ordenada y con todo lo que necesitábamos para nuestra estancia.

I want to share our experience for our 9 day stay. Coming into Limon there was an accident I had emailed our estimated time of arrival to our host But traffic was backed up, we were stuck in traffic for 4 hours. our host was super communicative and as we got closer he met us at the property about 5 hours late so glad for his help getibg us aclimated to the aurroundings. one day we had no gas to cook and I contacted the host and he had us fuel in 15 minutes. we saw monkeys and a sloth right outside of the back porch. very comfortable property but remember you are in a jungle setting. your doing to see bugs and mosquitoes. Well stocked kitchen utensils, good wifi, great ac, comfortable beds and we felt safe there. We would stay there again. thans for hosting the three of us.

Stayed here for 8 days, and loved the house. Pre trip I was worried about the lack of AC but the fans they provide made it bearable. House was very clean when we arrived and they also offered a free cleaning halfway through which was perfect for us. We spent majority of our time on the comfy couches on the patio & in the pool. Saw many agotti, toucans, and butterflies from our place and loved the greenery. Would definitely recommend renting a vehicle if staying here, the road leading up is pretty steep and rocky. The howler monkeys and bugs can tend to get loud at times, I brought ear plugs because I'm a light sleeper and it helped a lot. The managing team was very responsive and answered all questions within 40 min or so even at night. Place is beautiful and definitely one of the better homes in the area.

Hidden gem! You will have no regrets for booking this perfect house with a prime location on the Caribbean. Don’t think twice about it. Book it!

Beautiful home. Dawn, the host and owner, lives downstairs and she was incredibly kind and helpful. Pictures don’t do the home justice - it’s stunning - with an incredible yard. Used the pool and meditation deck daily, both of which were amazing.

Es una casa acogedora, limpia ordenada, es a como lo muestran en las fotos, espacio grande, privacidad, alejado del ruido, ubicación estratégica para el descanso pero cerca de los centros de entretenimiento en Puerto Viejo y el anfitrión excelente, perfecta comunicación y muy atento a nuestra satisfacción.

Lugar muy bonito, cerca de la playa, rodeado de mucha naturaleza.

Villa Julio was great. The property managers with Rise were very helpful and friendly. Especially Fabian, who greeted us on arrival. We had a wonderful time spotting wildlife from the deck every day. We saw and heard howler monkeys every day, spotted an iguana in the tree, as well as a sloth. We rented bikes for our time there and were able to get wherever we needed to go.

We stayed here for 3 nights and we loved it! It was so peaceful and quiet. It was really nice and clean just as described. The restroom and shower were really spacious. Everything was amazing! we even spotted some monkeys and sloths outside. Itisha was so nice and always responsive :)

Es war toll bei Juan Carlos. Er selbst war lustig, immer ansprechbar und hat uns super Tipps für die Umgebung gegeben. Da er selbst mal Führungen gemacht hat, hat er bessere Konditionen für Unternehmungen und uns bestens über Möglichkeiten informiert. Ja, das Haus ist offen, und hat es gefallen. Und es ist genauso süß, wie auf den Bildern. Wir haben in der zweiten Nacht dann unser Moskitonetz genommen. Die Umgebung fühlt sich ganz sicher an, es gibt überall Schlösser, zb an der Waschküche, es war meist einfach offen. Auch das fühlte sich gut an. Das Haus liegt mit anderen gleichen Häusern am Ende einer Sackgasse und ist nah zum centrum, zu Fuß oder mit dem Rad, was zu benutzen ist. Also alles top. :)

We just returned from our stay at Casa Colibri and the entire week was magical! The pictures of the property don't do it justice. The house is spotless, especially considering it's in the middle of the jungle. The front patio and pool were perfect for our family. The outside space is so relaxing and beautiful - the sounds of the birds and howler monkeys were an extra touch. Andrea was very helpful with our requests. This is a very special place and we hope to return again. Highly recommend a stay here!

Beautiful and comfortable home in a great location. The beach in front of the house is beautiful and easy to access. There are restaurants within walking distance and grocery stores a short drive away. The hosts were very nice and super responsive. It was nice that they met us on check in to explain the house and provide instructions. Would love to stay here again.

Daniel nous a accueilli avec beaucoup de gentillesse. Il nous a fait une présentation rapide et complète du logement puis nous a laissé nous installer tranquillement. Le logement est magnifique, très bien positionné pour contempler la jungle et très intimiste du fait de sa hauteur par rapport à leur maison. Nous avons adoré la cuisine (parfaitement équipée) ouverte avec une très jolie terrasse couverte sur laquelle on a adoré manger face a la jungle. C’était un spectacle permanent, des singes à quelques mètres, des toucans, des colibris, et beaucoup d’autres oiseaux. La salle de bain correspond aux attentes de ceux qui veulent se rafraîchir en ayant de la place dans la grande douche italienne. Le petit bonus, est que Daniel est toujours disponible par messagerie pour des infos sur le secteur. Sa galerie est très belle et c’était l’occasion de repartir avec quelques jolies peintures en souvenir. On reviendrai sans hésiter. Merci à tous les deux.

This beautiful home is located in the jungle and is an absolute masterpiece of a property. Seeing monkeys in the yard that you’re staying at was a really cool experience. The host was so helpful with recommendations on the way in and on the way out of town. Our car even broke down and he sent his assistant to be able to help us out. His assistant was able to get the car started and they refused to take any money from us. Beautiful house from beautiful people. So grateful.

Hermosa la casa Flyée, tiene un ambiente lleno de árboles, monos pájaros de todo tipo y animales de la zona. Un día de lluvia se disfruta al máximo aunque no sea de playa. Las instrucciones sobre el funcionamiento de la casa y sus reglas muy claras, amé el book con las recomendaciones sobre la zona, todo muy limpio y la casa muy cómoda, nos encantó estar tan cerca de la playa y no necesitar el vehículo para ir. Solo 2 puntos que en mi caso no fueron tan buenos, hay que subir escaleras altas para llegar a la casa y no tienen barandas, si vas con personas mayores o con limitaciones no es una buena opción y al estar sobre la carretera principal se escucha bastante los vehículos que pasan en la noche.

I loved staying at La Perla! The host was extremely helpful and held our bags for us before our ride home so we could explore. I would absolutely recommend to everyone visiting puerto viejo- lots of local food and drinks and the beach at your door stop less than a five minute walk away! Will hopefully be back soon!

The villa was stunning! It felt like vacation from the moment we arrived. The beds were comfy, it had a lot of space and was very nicely designed. However, a few simple and small things could make this place even more special. And I think it's a bit sad that the owner hasn't reacted to the feedbacks of other travelers yet (e.g. the fact that the kitchen is missing a few things, which could easily be solved). But overall I would totally recommend staying here and would definitely book again!

Having been visiting Cahuita for over 20 years it is wonderful to finally find such a hidden gem close to be where we need to be This new property is spacious , squeaky clean, well equipped for cooking ( not many are fully equipped) and has beautiful surroundings. You can hear the howler monkeys some mornings for a great alarm call 😊 Will definitely book again !

La casa es preciosa y tiene una excelente ubicación para descansar. La comunicación con los anfitriones es super buen. Sin duda volvería a hospedarme en este lugar.
