Be immersed in the peace and quiet of a Tuscan olive orchard by staying in this stone farmhouse which features traditional architectural elements such as terra cotta floors, vaulted ceilings, and original wood fixtures. Dive into the plunge pool with sweeping views of the Mediterranean Sea. For adventurous travelers who will appreciate the 10-minute panoramic walk to the house (we will transport your luggage and groceries by tractor). The magical view of the world below with the coast on the horizon which can be enjoyed from every room of the house and from the entire olive orchard with its walking paths and plunge pool with waterfall. Being a pedestrian village, Metato is quiet and peaceful. Yet, the beach and many great places to visit are a short drive away- Pisa, Florence, Lucca, the marble quarries of Cararra, Pietrasanta, Viareggio.... Guests have exclusive access to the pool and property. Metato is a friendly litttle village in the hills overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. There is a quaint family-run restaurant in the village that serves local homemade dishes at a very reasonable price. Our pedestrian village tends to attract kind people in search of peace and quiet and a proximity with nature. Time seems to go by more slowly here. It is a perfect base for families who want to explore Tuscany and the beaches of the Versilia coast. The home is in a beautiful, quiet location on a hill surrounded by olive orchards and vineyards just a 10-minute walk from the parking lot. Explore the medieval village of Metato where fireflies and breathtaking views await. Take an invigorating hike or head to the beaches a short drive away. There is a parking lot at the base of the village where you can park the car. The village itself is pedestrian but I am happy to greet guests at the parking lot on their arrival to transport their luggage, groceries and whoever wants to ride to the house with my little Italian tractor! The nearest airport is Pisa (45-minutes by car). All the major car rental places can be found there. The nearest train station is Viareggio.

Cima alle Selve

Dear guests, we are Massimo and Roberta, we recently bought this farmhouse dating back to the 1800s, surrounded by chestnut trees, near the village of Pruno. If you want to immerse yourself in nature, this is the place for you, you will find silence and tranquility. You will arrive by car in this peaceful oasis, welcomed by the large terrace where you will enjoy the sun all day, and end up admiring the sunset. Upon entering, the living room with winter fireplace is very intimate for reading a book.

Medieval Tower House in the Historic Center

Discover the charm of an 11th-century medieval tower, completely original from the period, in the heart of Lucca. Once home to the architects of the Cathedral and later to the bell-ringer, it stands at the foot of the bell tower — but the bells never ring, ensuring peace and restful sleep. Casa Isabella is a recently renovated antique and elegant building, dating back to the 1800s and enriched during the "liberty era". It is located just a few meters from the train station and the walled city of Lucca. There is just one floor, the rooms are very bright , large and welcoming, with the romantic atmosphere of an authentic Tuscan period residence. The decor is designed with care. The house also offers a spacious terrace where you can wind down and enjoy pleasant outdoor meals.

Church of the Vaioni

An ancient deconsecrated church dating back to the early 1900s, originally built as a private chapel of Villa Philipson. Chiesino Dei Vaioni has a loft structure with two double bedrooms on two separate mezzanines. Outside, there is a kitchen with a wood-burning oven, private gardens with a tree-lined avenue and an olive grove. The gates and internal stairs were built by the Antica Fonderia Michelucci. Chiesino Dei Vaioni is immersed in the Tuscan countryside just minutes from the city.

LA RUPINA, a villa in the mountains of Tuscany

La Rupina is a private, detached home designed for independent explorers. Set in the mountains near Lucca, the house offers views across the Serchio Valley to Pania della Croce. After exploring the region, return to a home designed for relaxing in: Soothe tired legs in the private plunge pool (4m×2m×1m) Use the outdoor grill for a well-earned Italian BBQ while the sun sets over the peaks. Stay in a house is beautifully decorated with a fully equipped kitchen.

Dimora Leone, large historic apartment in Lucca

Dimora Leone is ideal for a unique experience in the heart of Lucca, a spacious charming apartment, embellished with frescoes and antique furniture. It has an elegant entrance from which you can access the living room. In the master bedroom, there is a king-size bed and a single bed. The second bedroom leads to a walk-in closet and bathroom. On the other side of the house are a dining room, equipped kitchen, a third double bedroom and a full bathroom.

There is a place a few steps away from the famous Versilia (Tuscany) called Borgo Metato Toscana. Here various structures have been designed by the Architect Stefano Viviani, who has realized In each of them, a very refined style respectful to the place. Il Borgo di Metato is surrounded by olive trees, lots of green spaces and there are some donkeys for the joy of children. OLIVETA is part of this place.

VILLA GIOMA - Completely renovated country house

Charming rustic located on top of a private hill, complete remodeled in 2023 with private infinity pool surrounded by nature. The farmhouse has comfortable outdoor spaces where you can eat and relax in front of a breathtaking view. The whole house is equipped with air conditioning and each bedroom has a private bathroom. We charge an additional cost of 30€ per day for utilities to be paid at check in.
