We got to know Pico and fell in love with the island. We bought a house and went to live on the island. We rented the entire house on the 1st floor and lived in an apartment on the property. As travelers, we respect the privacy of our guests. It is a traditional house on the island, with all the charm of a typical Pico house, but with all the comforts for a family vacation. Sea and mountain view 300 meters from the Arinhas bathing area and with the São João trail just 30 meters from the house.

The property is a small working family farm & is not in the city center. Madalena & Lajes are 15-20min. away & the point of the island is 25 minutes. There are no store fronts around, nature and rural lifestyle is our vibe. The home is a family run private vacation home, equipped w/modern conveniences. Perched on a hill with Northern views of the sparkling Atlantic & São Jorge island w/ East views encompassing sun dappled landscapes & redwood sprinkled hills. Trails are literally steps away.

Located in the valley of Almoxarife. 5 min walk to the most beautiful black sand beach of the island and 10 mins to the famous Horta marina and landmark downtown by car. Completely renovated, the house offers all modern comforts. All rooms have sea views. The villa "Quinta dos Maracujas" is a located on a vast orchard, where, depending on the season, you will be able to enjoy the exotic fruits. Bars and restaurants at the bottom of the street.
