We are a Portuguese family that knows all the islands of the Azores, and completed in August 2018 this retreat, to get away from our busy lives in London. Until the day comes that we can enjoy it full time, we have decided to share the amazing space we have created with others that love the nature, mountain and sea that is always surrounding us. The house is within Prainha, the most beautiful parish of Pico Island, and within close proximity to the beach, restaurants, grocery store and bakery.

Quinta Pereirinha Farm | Private 3 Bedroom House

The property is a small working family farm & is not in the city center. Madalena & Lajes are 15-20min. away & the point of the island is 25 minutes. There are no store fronts around, nature and rural lifestyle is our vibe. The home is a family run private vacation home, equipped w/modern conveniences. Perched on a hill with Northern views of the sparkling Atlantic & São Jorge island w/ East views encompassing sun dappled landscapes & redwood sprinkled hills. Trails are literally steps away.

Almoxarife Beach - Casa da Parteira "a moagem"

About 4 km north from the city of Horta is Almoxarife Beach. In the "a moagem" space, there is life in every corner, in the garden there is a water cistern and a threshing floor. It features traditional architecture, dating back to the beginning of the last century. At the mill, a philosophy based on the traditional and sustainable is practiced. It consists of: apartment, garden, handicraft workshop, farm with animals, vegetables, fruits and seeds of traditional varieties.

Charming Beach House along the Ocean

Located minutes from downtown Madalena, “Casa da Barca” is a charming space granting guests picturesque views of the ocean and island of Faial from one side, and iconic Pico Mountain on the other. Walk only a few steps out the door and take a dip into natural pools or enjoy a refreshment at Pico’s award winning Cella Bar. Your host will welcome you with some cheese and wine, giving you a taste of the Acores and getting your palate ready for delicious island food.

Our 1-Bedroom Cosy Flat is a cute and comfortable accommodation for two - it is located at one of the most beautiful seafront areas in Pico overlooking Faial island. Some of the best restaurants on the island are nearby, and the town centre is only 10mins away - all walking distance. House of the Black Cat

Located in a quiet area of the parish of Santo Amaro, where you wake up in the middle of nature with a fantastic view of the sea and São Jorge Island. Behind are the slopes of the northern part of the island. About 200 meters away is the Portinho bathing area. The house is equipped with a flat-screen TV with cable channels, air-conditioning and Wi-Fi. It has a bedroom/living room with a double bed, a bathroom and a kitchen.

Grandfather Francisco's House

Once a traditional wine cellar, built by Francisco Paulo in 1980, this villa served for many years as a production site and warehouse for the Paulo family's wine. The wine cellar has been remodeled and expanded, but it maintains the traditional elevations and the decoration and details of the times when it was used as a wine cellar. Next to the bathing area, it has a view that invites long nights of conversation.

Ocean view in UNESCO Heritage Site

Solar-powered wine house located in the Landscape of Pico Island Vineyard Culture - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Just a couple of minutes driving from Madalena village, this traditional and remodeled wine house has its own vineyard on the backyard. A cozy space for two with a bedroom, kitchenette open to living room and a bathroom. The wine house is overlooking the ocean, Faial island and Pico mountain.
