Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Petralona, Athens

This place was a nice respite after our long sightseeing days. I could definitely spend an extended time here. There was a very nice outdoor space to enjoy and the inside had everything we needed. There were nice treats and snacks left for us in arrival that saved us having to go out and get anything when we arrived. We really appreciated the time in this place. The only thing to be aware of is you must be able to do stairs for entry. They are wide and sturdy though. It’s a lovely staircase. Overall a pleasant stay. Wish we had more time to sit and enjoy the atmosphere but we were trying to get all the sights in. We were just a brief cab ride from all the most popular sites. Thank you!

Very clean accommodation both inside the apartment and outside the surrounding area. Very beautiful garden, very well maintained. Friendly and direct host, he was there for everything we needed with a good mood. Everyone who offered services at the accommodation was helpful. Excellent location, very convenient for any activity, easy access everywhere, in the center of Athens, to museums, cultural sites, entertainment venues, restaurants. I highly recommend Marios' accommodation. I'd prefer it again.

The host was very nice and helpful. Although the location of the house is not in the center, you can get anywhere you want by public transportation.

This was a great stay for the price! A nice walk into the city center, (15 min) but the restaurants around the corner are way better than in the city center and better prices for the quality! Very local restaurants! I only wish the WiFi had been better, was very spotty

Renovated apartment in excellent condition that perfectly matches what we were looking for to spend a night, 15 minutes' drive from the airport. Easy parking in front of the accommodation and several cafes a three-minute walk away. Kostas was a fantastic host who welcomed us very late at night despite the delay of our flight. He was always reachable and made sure we didn't miss anything. Thank you very much to him.

Clara was sweet and welcoming. He waited patiently for us, even though we were a little late. She had prepared a small welcome gift for us. The house had everything you needed for a peaceful stay. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, but very communicative with buses, trams and metro. It was easy and quick to get to the center, main attractions and beaches. There were shops, supermarkets and restaurants nearby, so we didn't miss anything.

The ceilings, natural light, beautiful craftsmanship of the wood, REAL ART! We have travelled extensively and enjoyed some beautiful Airbnb experiences. Christos space has moved to #1 on our list. My doctor, his parents were born in Greece, advised I should limit our time in Athens to 2 or 3 days. We are so glad we didn’t. Christos created a book, which I was hoping to buy but he gave us, that is BRILLIANT. The book is a pictorial and informational guide to Athens and Greece. Which he told me he could reproduce quite easily. If you stay at his space you will understand my surprise. Everything you need is a few minutes walk away. We came to Greece because of the history and the islands. We fell in love with Greece, the kindness of its people and generosity of spirit. Christos and his place may be the best of it.

Everything was perfect! The room was as shown in the photos, clean and fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We would definitely choose it again.

for me as a solo traveler, this flat was convenient and authentic. i liked the neighbourhood - residential yet enough coffee places and the occasional restaurant to try. communication was effortless and lots of tips where to go. wifi was stable enough to work there including video calls.

This place is located in a good location that allows you to take the local bus to the main city center places. The stop is only a 5-10 walk. The host was very gracious to let us leave our suitcases earlier than the check-in. She also gave good advise on a couple questions we had.

We stayed here before and loved it. This was the second time visiting and a few things have changed only in the local area. The place is spotless, homely, extra everything and a great coffee maker. The area is good - you have a new shop down in the square which does everything and there is also a new bio shop as well. The restaurants are in full swing as it is summer so yuo dont need to go far. ONE THING = THE AIR CON IS FABULOUS! Last time we were there we didnt need the air con, now in the summer we did and it is excellent and instant. Maria's penthouse flat is a gem. It was quiet. Location was very accessible with the metro close by. It's just a case of getting the metro from the airport directly (taking any metro on the metro platform which turns up seemed to do the trick). The terrace is lovely. The flat felt authentic and comfortable. There's plenty of nearby restaurants. I recommend the pancakes at The Place near the metro there. Also appreciated the air con in the flat. Thanks Maria for helping enrich my first impressions of Greece!

We had such a wonderful time during our trip to Athens, from arrival to departure, in great part thanks to our amazing host and her beautiful place. We felt right at home with a warm welcome from Militsa. She is so attentive, generous and proactive. She made her place functional and charming. The large balcony was our favourite spot to hang out and relax. We also used one of the smaller balconies as a cooler option during a warm day. One of our highlights was also to discover Petralona and its great restaurants. One of them, a suggestion from Militsa, was Pezodromos Originaly Greek. Nice for takeout too, and the staff started to recognize us and were so friendly! It was super easy to use the metro to travel everywhere we wanted in Athens, including from the airport to the Airbnb and back. Thank you so much again Militisa, for your warm welcome and for being so thoughtful. We enjoyed meeting you and staying at your place. We appreciated all that you offered and provided.

It was a cosy and comfortable apartment. Was lovely coming back to it at the end of the day.

The apartment is great! Everything inside looks just like the pictures ( modern, free of clutter and very clean).The second bathroom was an unexpected bonus! Excellent location- residential, quiet and safe neighborhood located within a few minutes walk to the train station , easy access to Monastiraki and Plaka neighborhoods. Communication with the host was flawless . She provided clear instructions regarding accessing the apartment. We would definitely recommend it!

Highly, highly recommended!! I have stayed at a few Airbnb properties, and I have to say that Maria and her husband are among the best hosts I have ever had. We had a minor accident early in the holiday and Maria went out of her way to come and help in the middle of the night. She answered every question we had when trying to deal with the Greek transport system, which is an absolute nightmare to unravel. The flat itself is close to the centre of the city and well located by transport, and the price was very reasonable. The view from the balcony is simply magnificent. We were sorry to leave. Thanks again, Maria and Antony!

Had a great stay — the place was clean, comfortable, and the host communicated everything clearly and promptly!

A descent place 15 minutes away from the touristic attractions, also away from the hurly-burly of city center. Very clean, we had everything we expected from a kitchen, also found nice little treats in the fridge. There is a bar right across the street so there may be noise until around 12 or 1 am. Earplugs would be suggested for sensitive early sleepers. But all in all I would suggest this place, especially you can explore restaurants nearby.

Pepy was like talking to an old friend who provided us with great recommendations. I would definitely stay at her lovely home again and will be recommending to family and friends.

The place was a great. It was nice to be on a neighborhood a little away from the crowds. It was peaceful on the terrace. There were two really good restaurants within a block and half. Along with some bakeries, coffee shops and mini markets. Made it very convenient! Place was very clean and comfortable.
