Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Pender County

I looked at many different Airbnbs to figure out what matched. There were a few that could have worked but ultimately chose Wendy’s. My own house about 15 minutes away was getting a new built bathroom and couldn’t my Cat Herman and I stay and live in The process. My construction started on a Monday so I was able to move into Wendy’s house the Sunday before. I was able to drive over the first day when they started for the next 10 days. The house had a plethora of towels, sheets, rooms with their own separate TVs. There was a note that I could use anything in the house if needed. The freezer already had some food loaded up. The covered sunroom was the thing that pushed it over that this will happen and go smoothly. Herman loves to have animals, birds to watch and it was air conditioned. Also each AM &PM there was 2 wild turkeys just hanging out. This is the house for 1 person or a family. If looking for a beach stay or a project this in a house to definitely serve you well

What an excellent experience. This was an incredibly lovely home, PERFECT for anyone traveling with their dogs. Our baby Eddie loved the yard. The home was Ahhhmazing. I dont know what it was but the smell walking in was divine. The bed was very comfortable. I would highly recommend Savannahs home and look forward to visiting again when I am in the area. Thank you for everything and ti anyone who stays here, you will thank me later 😁

Alexander's place was exactly what we needed for our stay. We were grateful to find a place on short notice around the holidays that was willing to accommodate our dogs. The private yard was perfect for them to run and get some energy out, while the house was comfortable and gave us space to rest. Alexander was very friendly and proactive in his messages about the home and the area. We hope to book again and take advantage of the cozy fire pit set up next time!

We booked this Airbnb last minute and the morning of we were told at like 8 AM we could check in whenever so check-in was flexible. When we got there, the place was very clean and really pretty. I liked all the colors and it had a very beachy feel. I don’t know how to describe it but it smelled and felt like a home. You can use hotspot for the tv which is what we did to watch some shows because it did rain the days we were there. We did end up going to the beach when it was raining and that was fun. If there were any problems at all, Robb was very fast to respond. The only cons are there is no Wi-Fi but I still give five stars because there’s lots of other things to do then be on Wi-Fi, and the water smells like sulfur but it wasn’t that bad. I wish I could give this place more stars. It deserves it and we will be back! Thanks for having us 😊

This was the Best Airbnb we have ever rented, and we have rented from Airbnb well over 30 times. The property was immaculate, the house was newly renovated and was absolutely beautiful. Everything was extremely clean and well organized, they had everything you needed to have a relaxing weekend on a huge piece of property. The lake was well stocked with fish, we caught and released well over a 200 fish in 4 days; catching a huge variety of fish from Bass, crappie, blue Gil, Shad, etc. The dock house and dock were new and made fishing the pond very comfortable with the benches. We had an absolute blast, thank you Robert for having us. We will be back.

Brandon’s home is gorgeous. It was perfect for the 5 of us and our 2 dogs. The big fenced back yard offered ample space for the pups to run while the game room allowed for us to come together as family and play pool and the dining room table helped us to play board games while it was raining. The home was very spacious and clean. Brandon is a terrific host!! Would 100% recommend this space to others and would definitely stay there again! Thank you Brandon!

This was one of my all time favorite Air BNBs! It’s is adorably furnished and ridiculously comfortable. It did feel like visiting my grandmother’s house. ❤️Ashley was very friendly and responsive. We had no issues whatsoever. We would have stayed longer as we are waiting on the closing of a home purchase, but sadly, it was booked for the extended time period we needed. Highly recommend.

A great place to stay with your family. Ample space. House was beautiful, well organized, and clean. The lay out was perfect for a family, and especially with young kids. Great backyard to hang out in play in. Wonderful hosts! Would stay here again!

Had a great week at Liquid State. The house was extremely clean and had everything from kitchen items to beach items (chairs, umbrellas, wagon, canopy, etc.). The beds are comfortable, but soft. Great location with a short walk to either the sound for amazing sunsets or the beach. House was comfortable and the pool was amazing. Would recommend this house and would stay again! Thanks Bridget and Thomas for the candy, wine and goodies, as well as your quick responses to minor needs.

We had a great stay here! The location in proximity to the beach access and walkable to restaurants was a big plus for us. The communication and responsiveness was so appreciated! The house itself matched the pictures and there were so many thought out details and amenities already provided. Thank you!

Everything was great, only small complain I had was that the sheets in the main bed room had hair all over it like possibly animal. But overall everything else was super clean.

We had such a great stay! The house was very clean, the pool was like brand new and very nice. They had pamphlets of things to do in the area, lots of information, the house was very cozy. She was very communicative and made sure everything was just right. The neighborhood was very nice and safe, and at night sitting outside it was so quiet. Super cozy, will definitely recommend and come back again!

Our family had a wonderful time staying at this location! The neighborhood was quiet and walkable. The point and location on the island felt very private and family-friendly. Beach and sound access points were super close. Having access to the calmer sound side or more active beach side gave us amazing options for activities. Being across the street from the pool gave us views on busyness (when to go or not go - though even "busy" was not overly crowded). The views were beautiful, the house super clean, the beds were so comfortable, and the ability to use beach gear, wagon, and towels was a blessing! Truly this felt like a home away from home and we are so grateful. Krisha was proactive in getting all information to us in advance and her responsiveness while there was superb. She even had a welcome card and bottle of wine awaiting us! This was our first experience with renting a beach home...but because of how wonderful this experience was, won't be our last. Thank you, Krisha!

We had the best beach vacation at Kristin’s place. The house was just as described and very well stocked with just about everything we needed for a great stay. The kitchen was one of best for folks like us who cook most meals - plenty of pots and pans, utensils, and lots of dishes. Beds were all super comfy. And the use of the beach towels, chairs, sun shades and toys were WONDERFUL saving us precious packing space in the car. Kristin was very helpful with all my questions. 10 out of 10! Next time we are headed to the beach, this is the first place I will try to book. Thank you!

We had a wonderful weekend stay with family at this beautiful home. We loved spending time at the beach and then coming home relaxing by the pool. Having pool towels provided was a great bonus! Alex and Lexi were very responsive and reassuring when we reached out about a few cleaning issues we noticed. Overall, it was a great experience — highly recommend if you're looking for a relaxing weekend getaway with a pool!

The condo was the perfect vacation spot for a couple and our 3 kids. Love the upstairs space & decor. Pool and beach were walking distance. The beach was clean. The area was not overly crowded. Private entrance, safe. Would recommend for a family! Chris was also very responsive & helpful. Thanks for a great family vacation!

Alex’s place was beautiful and spacious for my entire family. We had more than enough room to be comfortable. The home itself was beautiful and I personally loved the color palette. Alex was quick to respond and was flexible with check in and out. We will be back.

My husband & I had such a lovely stay here for the weekend! The apartment was spotless, cozy, and the perfect fit for us. We especially appreciated how pet-friendly it was—our dog felt right at home! The location was great, with easy access to the beach and local restaurants, just a short drive away (about 15–20 minutes). Megan, the host, was wonderful—she checked in with us to make sure everything was going smoothly, which we really appreciated. Everything was exactly as described, and the check-in process was simple and stress-free. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, well-located escape!

This place was the perfect spot especially if you are bringing your dog! Very pet friendly and accommodating! Melanie was very responsive and friendly. We plan on coming here next year and can’t wait! We felt right at home and the kitchen space was a huge plus! If you are looking for a pet friendly spot, look no further!

Had a great month long stay. House had plenty of room and fenced in backyard was great. Very close to downtown and the beaches. Would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed a wonderful extended stay. Our family loved the space, the layout, and all the room to put things - lots of closets and dressers. The laundry machines were also very helpful. The kitchen has everything you need plus some. The balcony is a peaceful place to sit and relax. The location is ideal for Kiwanis Park, shops, and getting to the beach. The host was also very responsive and helpful. We would highly recommend this place!

The Coastal Cottage was an awesome spot for my cousin's graduation getaway. It was clean, cozy, and had a really chill vibe. We could hit the beach, downtown, or catch the ferry in 30 minutes or less. The cottage had everything we needed. The path by the marsh was a nice little walk. Just a heads up, the road to the cottage is pretty narrow and bumpy in some spots, but if you take it slow, it'll be totally worth it when you arrive.

Kimberly's place was perfect for us, it was better than the pics. The area was so peaceful and quiet and such a great backyard to relax in. Having said that, it was just a short drive to most amenities.....Kimberly was super responsive and helpful with all of our questions and she truly wanted our stay to be a good one.....The master bathroom was amazing and the shower was so soothing....I would certainly recommend this place to others.
