Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Paje

We loved loved loved our stay at Wakushi house. Rebecca and Amani were so helpful and sweet people to be around and their place is just amazing. It is simply beautiful and very airy which is important on such a hot island. But it was the little details that stood out- fresh flowers, self-colored towels and handmade soap (which you can also purchase as a souvenir). Rebecca was also super helpful to arrange some trips and even took me to her yoga class. This might have been my best Airbnb-find ever!

Our stay at the villa was perfect, we enjoyed all the peace and quiet that the villa offers. Everything you need is within walking distance (beach, restaurants, bar, etc.), where you are greeted warmly by the locals every time, as if you have been living there for years. This is a little gem, hidden in a local area. Highly recommended.

Ernst ist ein sehr guter Gatsgeber . Er reagiert sofort und Hilft immer .Alles ist sehr gut Organisiert.Die Hilfe vor Ort hat er sehr gut geregelt. Es ist immer ein Ansprechpartner da.Vielleicht mal über ein Notstromaggregat nachdenken......Das Haus liegt direkt am Strand , nur wenige Schritte zum Meer.Absolut Ruhige Lage.Herzlichen Dank für die schöne Zeit dort.

We had an amazing time at Liza’s villa! It’s a very beautiful house, especially the pool area and the rooftop. Liza provided a lot of information about the house and the area beforehand, which was appreciated.

When we arrived, we were welcomed by the housekeepers. Both of them were really nice and helped us during our stay when we needed them. We were really thankfull for them. During our stay we contacted dii multiple times during the day, dii always answered fast and helped us really good. During our stay my husband got sick and dii contacted a medic for us and we got picked up. Dii also helped us with planning activities during our stay and contacted a tourguide for us. Conclusion; we would really recommend this place 10/10

Our stay in Uroa was wonderful. Emanuele put us in touch with his property manager who helped us with everything from airport transfers, setting up tours and even getting some medicine when some of our family came down with the flu. Uroa is a little bit remote in terms of amenities but that is what we were looking for. There are a few local restaurants within walking distance on the beach but not much more than that. We enjoyed walking the beach every day, swimming and wading out to the sand bar at low tide. There are also people/companies on the beach if you want to setup snorkeling tours or watersports. The caretaker and the housekeeper do a wonderful job keeping up the property and the housekeeper even made a few meals for us with the groceries we bought in Stonetown! The house was beautiful and in good repair. Beds were good and the pool was great to relax in. Overall, it was a very relaxing stay, just what we needed at the end of our trip to Tanzania!

The place is wonderful and clean, the service is excellent, and the staff is very cooperative and friendly. I would like to thank Ramadan for his excellent handling and his care for the visitors. I also thank the security, Ezra. Of course, I will visit again, and I will recommend it to my friends to go there.

It was a wonderful stay in Zanzibar. The house was big, comfortable, and clean. It is located on the main road of Paje, so everything is very close, especially the beach. Hiba was amazing—very helpful, and we truly loved her. The house has all the amenities one might need. We specifically stayed for over 20 days and never regretted it for a moment. I highly recommend it. When we visit the island again, we will definitely stay here.

Good communication. Resolved all issues with agreeable solutions, so I only have positive points to note. It is a decent property, close to the beach. What you see is what you get. All good.

Super amazing Place. The resort it self is beautiful very green with a massive pool in the centre, Security is really good and felt super safe, it is 5/8 minute walk to the beach but you can negotiate down the little paths. The apartment, is in the last block so there is a few minute walk from the Main gate, but you can get taxi or motorbike taxi to drop you off at the door which is nice if you been out all day and evening, walking in to the apartment it is very bright and super clean, it has everything you could want even washing machine, (bring your own tablets or powder) The kitchen/Living room is nice to relax in and very quaint, there is a nice balcony with table and chairs to sit and just enjoy the peace in the evening, The shower and toilet is amazing, hot power shower, clean towels, The bed Is little small for myself, and little hard but that just my taste but I slept good. Overall a really beautiful new apartment, for the right money & great owners. Thanks so much

We had an absolutely incredible stay at this cozy duplex in The Soul, Paje! We felt welcomed by the vibrant community and the peaceful atmosphere. The apartment itself is beautifully designed, spacious, and well-equipped, making it the perfect home away from home. Whether you're staying for a few nights or planning a long-term stay, this place truly has everything you need. One of the highlights for me was the stunning lagoon pool. It was such a joy to step outside and take a refreshing dip whenever we wanted! The pool area is beautifully maintained, with shallow sections that make it perfect for families with kids. The entire resort feels very secure, thanks to the 24/7 security, and the welcoming lobby and reception staff were always helpful. The host was fantastic—friendly, responsive, and always available to answer any questions. This duplex is the perfect spot to experience the best of Paje and Zanzibar. I’m already looking forward to my next stay!

Zamda and Ovi took very good care of us and made our stay a once in a lifetime. The place is simple, but very functional and has an authentic, yet beautiful touch. The beach is very nice with some restaurants and bars in walkable distance. However Jambiani is a small, quiet village and for party life you need to ride for 10 minutes to Paje where all the action is. If you are looking for authentic, beautiful and real, this is the right place. If you need it to be quiet at night, this one could be a challenge, since the local kids play near the house until late at night. We loved that authenticity very much.

We stayed in Dan and Sofie's apartment for 5 weeks. And had a very pleasant stay. The apartment offers everything you need for a longer stay and is very clean. The outside location, especially the pool, is fantastic. Stores, restaurants and the beach are within walking distance. Dan and Sofie are great hosts and quick to help with any problems. Unfortunately the wifi in the apartment was not 100% stable during our stay. The router often lost the connection to our devices. We had technicians in the apartment several times unfortunately no real solution was found. The internet is definitely fast enough to work remotely. Only the connection is a problem. For video calls you should have a local sim card to be on the safe side.

Our stay in Paje was unforgettable. Just a 7-minute walk from the beach, the home offered peace and convenience. Airport pick-up and drop-off were smooth, and every morning began with a hearty breakfast of fresh fruit, fish, milk, eggs, nuts, and sourdough. Judith, our host, was fantastic—communication was easy, and she kindly recommended a nearby hospital when our daughter fell ill. The Balinese-inspired interiors were calming and beautiful, adding a special touch to our stay. Our daughters adored the bathtub and wouldn’t stop talking about it on the way home! The bedding was pure luxury, with pillows so soft you could melt in them. My wife and I spent peaceful afternoons by the pool, truly relaxed. This place was a dream, and we’ll definitely be back!

This AirBnB is located within Villa de Coco in Jambiani. It was the perfect place for my family and I and we are already looking at dates for when we can return. We couldn't have asked for a better experience on Zanzibar!

I can't say enough great things about this place, and if we're ever lucky enough to return to Paje we will absolutely stay here again! The place is an apartment in what is really more like a gated community but it's also super close to everything so it's the best of the both worlds - We loved having the pool, communal working space, cafe, parking for our rented scooter, and laundry available and felt super safe because of the security. It was also really nice having a real space to make our own for the week, with a living room + tv, kitchen, and extra bedroom. The beach is a short walk away and there are tons of restaurants on the main the street that are actually better and cheaper then the beach restaurants. If you're only in Paje for a night or two and want to stay steps away from the beach or be right in the middle of the party scene, this might not be the place for you, but we saw a friends room at one of the beach clubs/hotels and were so happy we were staying here instead :)

Wir können die Unterkunft nur empfehlen! Auch wenn man mittig von Jambiani und Paje liegt, finden sich viele Restaurants in der Umgebung. Auch lokale Verkäufer und ein Supermarkt sind zu Fuß zu erreichen. Der Strand ist nicht weit weg, und abgesehen der Algen auch schön. Die Anlage selbst ist sehr grün, weshalb man viel Privatsphäre hat. Und durch zwei Pools ist es auch nie "voll". Das Frühstück war super, mit Obst, Ei, Saft und Joghurt und Paola war immer erreichbar für Fragen. Wir haben über Paola eine Tour und einen Shuttle organisiert bekommen und hatten auch sonst eine schöne Zeit in der Nyumbani Residence. Die Unterkunft selbst hat nur eine Klimaanlage im Schlafzimmer, weshalb manchmal der Wohnraum etwas warm war. Aber das hat uns nicht gestört. Besonders Highlight sind die süßen Katzen von Paola!

Fantastiska boende med underbar uteplats och härliga ytor. Hela stället andas lugn och bekvämlighet och poolen är underbar. Stranden ligger nära men är inte speciellt fin men det finns snabb och prisvärd transport till Paje som har en underbar strand. Skulle definitivt komna tillbaka och bo här igen.

The villa was absolutely beautiful. It looks much bigger in real life than in the pictures. It’s right next to the beach, making it easy to go for long walks along the shore. There are also many local restaurants nearby. I want to thank Grace ❤️ and the security gentleman for their help and kindness—they truly made my stay special!

We enjoyed staying at Rashad’s place. It’s close to everything and just a walking distance to the beach. There are other restaurants around the place. Cleaners comes every morning if you want cleaning. Rashid is a nice person and easy to communicate with as well. I highly recommend this place to other Airbnb community.

A good place for a one-night stay. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Walkable to go to the beach and go eat. Nice house manager Mr Jerry. The place doesn’t have WiFi (even though it is advertised), which is tough if you don’t have a local SIM card, and are depending on WiFi for coordinating your trip. Remember to bring bath towels, soap, and toilet paper, as there are no essentials included in this listing. Also the area is prone to electricity blackouts, so if you’re used to staying in hotels with generators, be prepared when staying in any AirBnB in Zanzibar, for blackouts.
