We had a wonderful stay with Marelize and Dawie! The hosts were friendly and very helpful. The unit was perfect, spacious and the fireplace was a big bonus for us. The location is absolutely perfect and ideal for anyone wanting to visit Franschhoek and all the surrounding wine farms. 100% would recommend!

One thing is for sure—if you’re visiting the Winelands and staying here, don’t overfill your itinerary. This is a place where you’ll want to slow down, soak in the beauty, and just enjoy the experience. Whether you’re lounging with a glass of wine, taking in the views, or simply appreciating the thoughtful design of the house, every moment here is special.

We loved our stay at Hanepoot cottage. Rina provides everything you need from extra blankets to firewood to tea and coffee, milk and water. Beds were comfy and the shower great. We loved the location, such great views of the mountains. We had a little trouble with the WiFi which Rina tried her best to resolve, but I would suggest making sure you have mobile data just in case you need it. Overall a fantastic stay and highly recommend.

William is a great communicator, we had all the instructions on how to get to Fonteinskloof and who to speak to on arrival. Everything was as advertised. The onsite Manager Michael was super welcoming and helpful, we felt at home very quickly. Michael checked in with us regularly to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The surroundings were beautiful. Zebra, waterbuck, blue wildbeest and Oryx were visible from the accommodation. Two walking trails were clearly marked. The unit was spotless, the beds super comfortable, beautiful bathroom. Braai facilities and wood was available and also a wood fire inside for heat. There is a games room with a pool table, foosball table and TV. There is a beautiful pool with a kids jungle gym and trampoline. 10 minutes from Swellendam. Will definitely be visiting again. It was beautiful and super relaxing.

We loved Leon's place. The views are incredible and the house is well equipped with comfy beds and linen and everything you would need to make your stay memorable. We made beautiful memories here and will be back again.

Wonderful stay here on the farm. Close enough to enjoy all the busy-ness that Franschhoek has to offer, yet serene enough to be able to relax. Looked forward to lighting the fire in the evenings. Well equipped, a beautiful farm, will stay again!

A get away we didn’t know we needed. We spent two nights, and we are looking forward to going back. The breakfasts baskets are lovely, the staff are friendly, the cottage is stunning and the surroundings are so very pretty.

We really enjoyed the cottage, it's more spacious than expected! The nature around is incredibly peaceful and beautiful and you are able to enjoy the view from the hot tub. We walked the hiking trail and the farm walk and both were incredibly beautiful, I really recommended doing them. The inside fireplace is big and really heats up the space, perfect for reading a book or playing games during the winter months!

We had the best time at Natasha's cottage! We felt right at home with the warm welcome and special details. The farm is beautiful and the cottage completely private with amazing views. There was close attention to detail that you could feel in every part of the cottage. You also cannot ask for a better location - it is close the best wine farms and very accessible. We will definitely be back!!!

Has so many different spaces to utilise, from an undercover braai, to an outside braai, to an indoor fireplace. Also multiple picnic spots next to the river. Had an amazing time :)

We had such a wonderful stay here! The location is stunning and from the second we got there we just felt immediately relaxed. The view of the town and the horses is so beautiful and peaceful, the house is cozy and has everything you need, and the hot tub was clean and wonderful under the stars once it got hot. The place feels both very open while also being very private, which is rare and so nice. All the info provided was very accurate and helpful. We brought our small dog and she loved it too! Renee and Milton were very friendly and responsive hosts, and we would absolutely come back in a heartbeat.

Everything about our experience here was amazing. The venue was even better than we had expected and communications were excellent. We all loved every moment of our long weekend away and want to come back.

I got back yesterday from a gem amongst gems !! This farm house was beautiful and cozy and the surrounds peaceful with gorgeous star-filled nights. The treats of wine, honey and coffee were amazing, I had to bring them home to continue enjoying them. I worked while I was there and wifi was perfect ( take note digital nomads :) ) My dogs had a ball and we were all very sorry to be leaving after a soul-soothing week. Trevor went above and beyond getting things ready for my stay and it was very much appreciated.

We loved staying at Carin’s place. The Rondawel stole our hearts, and Carin was very helpful in placing us in another cottage when we extended our stay. She gave the best tips and we truly had a blast staying here. The pool was very refreshing and the dogs always welcome you with a cuddle. Also the wine tasting with Johan was much fun. We’d love to come back again!

Perfect location, close to town but still far away so that you could relax. Farm is beautiful, with an amazing spot to have sundowners while surrounded by the majestic Franschoek mountains. Manager was responsive, super helpful and flexible.

Beautiful home in an amazing location. Felt right at home - house is just far enough from the hustle and bustle of the Main Street to feel very private but all within walking distance of anything you need. Jan was a great host and so was Eric who looked after us very well. Will def be back for future trips.

We were a group of 11 adults and 5 toddlers. This house was amazing! We've been organising one weekend away per year with the same group for the last 5 years. We've never stayed at the same house more than once, but this house will most definitely see us again soon!

Really wish we’d booked for longer. A beautiful, quiet oasis with phenomenal grounds, and great views. I was able to ‘power-down’ here and get some much needed rest. We couldn’t get the hot-tub fired up, which was a shame as the starry night’s would have been even more magical. Staff were really helpful and responsive when approached. They went out of their way when our car battery died - hunting down cables & removing the battery from their own car to give us a ‘jump start’. Thank you!! I’ll definitely be back.

We had a truly wonderful stay here. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel incredibly welcome with her warm hospitality. The space was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. One of the highlights was the beautiful greenery and the many trees surrounding the house. It created such a peaceful, natural atmosphere that made us feel instantly at ease. Alida went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable, and she was always available if we had any questions. The location was serene and perfectly situated for exploring the area. Highly recommended :) we’d love to come back!

This was my second time at Teri’s place, looking forward to many more 😊 Love the cozy, peaceful, artistic interior and the comfy bed. The fireplace is super effective at heating the space. Best olives I’ve met, and Teri is a gem! Bonus that Mud is just up the road with their delicious food. Thanks Teri!

I can confidently say that Mongoose Manor is the best place to stay in Franschhoek, whether it is summer or winter. We booked MM for a long weekend & had intended to spend our time hiking, but didn’t get further than a decadent lunch at Protégé, followed by a few hours in the local bookstore, after which we curled up in front of the crackling fireplace in the lounge & read. MM has become our place we escape to when feeling depleted & needing to nourish our souls. There’s nothing quite like lying in that enormous bed & watching a thunderstorm roll over the mountains in the distance, or sipping a glass of wine on the patio while observing the abundance of bird life or the hilariously mischievous squirrels outsmarting the local cat. Caro & Peer are unfailingly kind & generous, & the cottage is always stocked with yummy treats, but should you want to venture out, you are a 15mins walk from some of the top restaurants in SA & the high street. It honestly doesn’t get better than this.
