We are offering our guesthouse for our home and it is set on 20 acres of rolling hills. This is a farm-like setting with free-range chickens, barn cats, and couple of dogs. This unique property offers a country feel while being close to the Twin Cities. You will have about 800 sq. ft. to relax in or sit out by a campfire, enjoy a walking trail, or rest in a hammock. All this is a 10 minutes drive from Cabela's, the Outlet Mall in Albertville, and Hillside mountain bike trails in Elk River.

We have stayed at many Airbnb’s over the years and this will be remembered as our favorite. The photos while accurate, don’t do this place justice. It is furnished impeccably, extremely clean and very comfortably. In addition Joel and Melissa go the extra mile. Melissa makes the best chocolate chip cookies ever! When our grandkids came to visit Melissa took them out to pick eggs, provided carrots to feed the neighbor’s horses and made sure they were visited by their friendly dogs. Beds were very comfortable, easy to doze off in the lounge chairs while watching the TV, and the kitchen is stocked with anything you might need. We hope to return again!”
Welcome to Big Lake/Monticello! Our one bedroom studio is fully equipped for your stay. Private screen porch, separate, private entrance, full kitchen and bath. Ample parking and dog friendly. (Up to 40 lbs) We provide a few light breakfast items such as coffee, juice, milk, muffins, bagels, and fruit. We will re-supply coffee, tea, bottled water.

They have some beautiful antiques too, which were so fun to look at! They had everything we could possibly have needed! I was planning on going to the store to get orange juice and water bottles, but they had already provided that for us. Scott even made banana chocolate chip bread for us, which was to die for! Mary is so quick to respond to communication, and she is so sweet and hospitable! Also, watching the dogs, Tess and Nora, play in the snow, was so much fun! They are adorable!! I am so glad I found this house. We will definitely be staying there again! I thoroughly recommend this place to anyone! You will not be disappointed!”
