We basically accept reservations for 2 nights or more because we want you to stay in a historic town in the mountains for a while. Located in the town next to Narai-juku, a post town on the Nakasendo Road, it is a historic town that has prospered as a producer of Kiso lacquerware since the Edo period. It was built in 1931 in a town that has been selected as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Historic Buildings and still has lacquerware shops. Limited to one group per day without meals, the entire building is available for rent. I think the charm of Hirasawa is the beauty and richness of everyday life. I would be happy if you could stay in this old town as if you were living here, reading, taking a walk, drinking local sake (sake and wine), sleeping and waking up slowly. We also post about our daily life on social media, so please take a look. There is no screen door in the old house in the valley of the mountain, so in the warm season, natural creatures may come in. Kusa no Niwa | 100-Year Machiya Lodge in Takayama

Kusa no Niwa is a traditional Japanese-style house with a courtyard and corridors that was built more than 130 years ago. The entire house with a size of 100 square meters will be lent privately to a single group with a maximum capacity of 6 persons. You will find a fusuma, a sliding door with a paper panel, painted by a famous Japanese Painter, which can be also found in the Taue’s House, an Important Cultural Property, located in Nyukawa Town.

This accommodation is a private rental, limited to one group per day. Itakura no Yado Shirakuri is a small old traditional house inn started by an owner who loves traditional houses. Itakura was relocated from the foot of Mt. Norikura and opened in June 2016. I hope that you will be able to feel the atmosphere of Itakura which is not found in everyday life.
