Urke in Hjørundfjorden - cottage by the sea

Urke is a living little village and has everything you need; great nature, hiking and bathing facilities, shop with post office and pharmacy, horticulture and its own pub/café. The nature of the area is amazing. The Sunnmørsalpane encircles the building with majestic Slogan and Saksa, which have become very popular after Nepalese sherpas have made steps up through the ura. In the last couple of years, Urkeegga has also become a popular destination. The mountains here are as popular for ski tourists in winter as for mountain tours in summer.

Nice cottage right by the sea with good sunny conditions. Boat w/motor can be rented for an extra charge. The cabin is located in a very nice area in the middle of Sunnmørsalpane. Great opportunities for mountain trips both summer and winter, and fishing in the fjord. Nice starting point for day trips to the bird mountain Runde, Ålesund and Geiranger. There is plenty of room for 8 people in the cabin, but for ski tourists we want to rent to a maximum of 6 people.

The house is located at Riksheim, Sykkylven in beautiful surroundings with great hiking and fishing possibilities. Most of the house was renovated in fall 2015. A spacious veranda with views of the fjord was added. A boat and boat house available for guests. Public transport is scarce in the area, and we do not recomend staying without a car.
