The bothy- peaceful country life near the sea

The bothy is a beautiful newly converted farm building located on the east mainland of Orkney. The property is in the countryside, surrounded by farmland and just along the road from one of several wonderful beaches in Deerness. Should you need any items for a baby like a carrier (any age), seat, snuzpod, cot/ cotbed, highchair, etc. Please let us know prior to your arrival, along with the age of the baby/toddler. We also have a 4 bedroom house next door should you need a bigger accommodation

Langwell Bothy

Langwell Bothy has two rooms with vestibule entrance where modest coffee/tea bar is set up. There is a microwave, kettle, toaster and small refrigerator, including a sink, NO COOKER. Main bedroom has view over to Hoy island. The second room has a double bed/couch. (If 2 guests & need 2 beds, please message this) There is a shower room/toilet/sink (wet room) accessible only from the second room. The second room has two views over looking the main house garden and views towards Stromness.

North Walls Kirk

North Walls Kirk, situated on the picturesque island of Hoy, has been lovingly renovated to provide an extensive and unique self-catering property. Work has been done with minimum conflict to its original purpose and with the retention of many of the original features. The spectacular gothic arched windows mean that the space is bathed in light of a particular quality giving an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity. Furnishings have been selected to compliment this unique style and environment.

Self-contained, Small Self catering Studio by Sea

A beautiful small studio apartment awaits you. Accommodation comprises own door from the main house lobby leading to the one-roomed studio with 1 double bed, small sofa, table, chairs & tv. It is a small, well equipped space, 13.3m2 with kitchen and showerroom off, ideally located a few minutes flat walk from Kirkwall town centre and Orkney College with sea views across Kirkwall Bay. Ample FREE parking. Late (even midnight) arrival is fine, just let yourself in. Rigorous cleaning always.

Little Crofty Cottage

Little Crofty Cottage is a small open plan detached bungalow beside our family home and a small working croft where you have your own space in a quiet countryside location. The perfect setting for exploring all the wonderful sights that Orkney has to offer. Situated 5 minutes drive from Kirkwall airport and 10 minutes drive from Kirkwall town centre. An abundance of country walks and beaches nearby with a lovely cafe a few minutes drive away, you won't be short on something to do.

Self -catering apartment in a unique Island place

New Horries is situated in the east of the Orkney Mainland (main Island), about 12 miles from KIrkwall, in the parish of Deerness, which is almost an Island accessible via a natural causeway (open all year round) between the meeting of the North Sea and North Atlantic Ocean to the south and by Deer Sound to the north. The property - an amalgam of Local, modern, ground floor set into the hill, and traditional Norwegian - and was designed and built by the owners, completed in 2011.

Netherstove Chalets 2

Netherstove has two identical self-contained chalets overlooking the Bay of Skaill and Skara Brae with view of the Hoy Hills to the south. Within a 20 minute walk you have Skara Brae visitor centre and within 25 minutes drive you can access nearly all of the Historic Scotland sites Orkney has to offer. Along with this there is the opportunity to explore the surrounding countryside with a range of coastal and local footpaths where you will see an array of birds and wildlife

The Byre, Upper Faulds, Burray

Self-catering accommodation in a converted byre, set in the grounds of our family home. Five minutes from St Margaret's Hope ferry terminal. A perfect location for viewing local wildlife or visiting some of Orkney's world-famous Neolithic archaeological sites such as the"Tomb of the Eagles", or wartime sites such as Hoxa Head gun emplacements or the Italian Chapel. Just a 15 minute drive to Kirkwall, across the famous Churchill Barriers with their historic shipwrecks.
