One of 5 Anderson's Harbour Cottages, in Stromness, 1800's 4 Star Cottages - right on the sea, with its own private pier, little garden and private parking in. Slip way next door. Magnificent views from the Cottage's pier over Scapa Flow, passing fishing vessels, sunrises and sea life. Extensive Cook's larder (over 30 different coffees/teas/hot chocolate, sugars, cooking oils, herbs, condiments and cleaning detergents for dish washer and washing machine. Wi-Fi. Close to Golf Course. Lovely!

36 Alfred Street, Stromness - a charming 1800's, 4 star cottage, has its own private Bothy right on the sea, great views and a shared pier. It has one spacious romantic bedroom, with a very small bedroom leading off from it, with a bunk bed (two beds) suitable only for children in it. Like the other three Anderson's Harbour Cottages, each Cottage is equipped with everything including a Cook's Larder (30 + different coffees/teas/hot chocolate, cooking oils/herbs etc). New: Cantick Head Lighthouse Cottage

This comfortable cottage was once the home of a Victorian lighthouse keeper. Now an ideal escape which is pleasantly situated with most rooms having views looking out over the sea towards the Pentland Firth or across the hills of Hoy. From the lighthouse gentle strolls take you to the Hills of White Hamar wildlife reserve just next door, to a nearby sandy beach, or to the shops and general store in Longhope. The lighthouse was designed by the renowned engineers Thomas and David Stevenson.

A total refurbishment was undertaken early 2018 and this character mid 1700’s stone building, now includes a top of the range modern kitchen, 4 brand new bathrooms all en suite and all bedrooms have smart TV’s as well as the sitting room with a view over the sea. It is positioned right on the seafront with its front door 3 meters from the sea. It has its own pier, stone little slip and parking available too. Magnificent views of passing boats, sea life and sunrises across Scapa Flow.
