Dieses neue Haus hat eine künstlerische, minimalistische Architektur mit einer wohltuenden, beruhigenden Atmosphäre. Wir schätzten das Fehlen von überflüssigen Gegenständen oder kitschiger Deko. Das Haus steht inmitten einer wunderschönen Landschaft. Der Ausblick war fantastisch, es braucht keinen Fernseher. Die gemütlichen Schlafplätze waren hochwertig und hatten große Bettdecken. Es gab viel Ruhe, obwohl an dem einzigen Nachbarshaus manchmal gebaut wurde. Da es im Mai morgens früh hell wurde, waren einem von uns beiden die Möglichkeiten zur Abdunklung etwas zu gering. Dem Gastgeber liegen seine Gäste wirklich am Herzen, er war immer proaktiv, sehr hilfreich und reaktionsschnell. Wir reisten ohne Auto und für die letzten Kilometer funktionierte es gut mit dem Rufbus (Telefon oder App). Der Rufbus hat bestimmte Betriebszeiten und einen zeitlichen Vorlauf. Unter bestimmten Voraussetzungen sind einige Fahrten sogar kostenlos (Taxis sind horrend teuer).

We hebben hier anderhalve week verbleven met ons gezin (2 volwassen en drie kinderen). Dit verblijf is ons heel goed bevallen. Het huisje is ruim en comfortabel en ligt een prachtige landelijke heuvelachtige omgeving. Julia en haar familie zijn bovendien zeer vriendelijk. Onze kinderen hebben heerlijk kunnen spelen op en rondom de boerderij (trampoline, koeien melken, houtskool maken en fietsen). De ligging van het huisje is super. Op 40 min rijden van Wenen (P+R Hütteldorf), niet ver van de wijngaarden aan de Donau (Wachau en Durnstein) en dicht bij de bergen (wandelen en rodelbaan).

I had the most wonderful stay I could have ever imagined with Werner and Mariola. I’m still in awe of the experience and deeply moved by their warmth and kindness. From the moment I arrived, they made me feel not just welcomed, but truly part of the family. Words can hardly capture how much I appreciated my stay. Any time I mentioned or even hinted at a need, they went above and beyond to fulfill it—no matter how big or small. Their thoughtfulness and generosity were truly exceptional. The room itself was immaculate, spacious, and equipped with everything I could possibly need. It felt more like returning home than staying at an Airbnb—comforting, personal, and far beyond the standards of a five-star hotel. Staying with Werner and Mariola was an unforgettable experience, and I will always be grateful for their hospitality. I’m forever grateful to them and for my stay which opened my eyes to Austria.
