Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Oita

Yumiko’s place was unique and a great base for our stay in Minamiaso. She had great recommendations. We have not had the pleasure of staying in a Japanese home before and found it very comfortable. The container gallery was one of our favourite spots. We had breakfast, coffee and dinner there. The kitchen was well equipped. Area was quiet and the location was great. Can’t wait to stay here again! Thank you so much!

Makiko was very kind and her home was beautiful. She was very friendly and if there was anything we needed she would reply right away. This was a 10/10 home and stay. This was a huge highlight of our trip to Japan, especially Kumamoto. If we ever come back to Kumamoto (which we more than likely will) we would definitely be coming back here. There’s no other host like Makiko who is kind, sharing and lovable. There were snacks in case we got hungry and also ice cream. She did many kind gestures and like I said, she deserves WAY MORE than 5 stars. Everything about this home was great and you could really tell Makiko cares about her guests! By far this is my favorite AirBNB I’ve ever stayed at. This was great! Thank you so much Makiko and I hope to see you again soon!

We loved our stay at this place. It was very spacious for the two of us and we enjoyed using the private onsen. It would have been easier to find the place if the outside light was left on before we arrived.

There is a private hot spring and the interior is fully equipped.Convenience store is 3 minutes walk, walking street is 10-15 minutes walk. The living room is smaller than expected, but overall I am very satisfied.

Absolutely loved this place! The private onsen was amazing—peaceful, clean, and so relaxing. The room was cozy and well-kept, and the host was super kind. A perfect little escape. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful house with complete amenities. Nice view and surroundings. The only downside is that it is far from Beppu Station. Good if you have a car. But we will definitely recommend this place.

This is a good place to enjoy as a group. Saito Family responds quickly and is friendly. Parking is available, so it's the best for rental car customers. Great place to enjoy with the nearby hot springs!! I recommend it ~~

Yuko-san was great. She sent photos of the turn-off to get to the place, as it is not well-marked from the street. She met us upon arrival and showed us around. The road to approach the place is steep and narrow, and it was quite challenging to turn around at the end, even in a small car. We had an entire house, and it was quite spacious. Some areas seemed worn or older, and perhaps in the middle of a remodel, but it seemed fairly clean overall. Some of the ceilings were quite low, and passages between rooms were even lower. We had a couple of spiders as visitors, but nothing too strange for being in the country. The beds were quite hard, but I found some extra padding and was OK when I used that with the original bedding. It was nice to have an actual couch, too, as we haven't had many in our month in Japan. Yuko also had fresh produce and sauces we could eat/use for cooking. The kitchen was well-equipped and easy to use. Wifi worked well. We would gladly stay here again!

Great Airbnb! Very tidy, had all the amenities you need, beds were comfortable, lots of space and great location. Literally 2min walk to the train station which has a family mart located inside and super market within walking distance. The car park is easy to access also. Overall great stay!! Beppu is totally worth visiting and has so much to do in locations close by. Some things to note: Although the instructions were good, check in was a bit time consuming and difficult navigate at times felt like the amazing race or something similar, but the host response was quick. There is also a camera inside of the room, pointing at the front door. There is a picture of where the camera is facing, but something to be aware of depending on your comfort level. We weren’t sure if they can also hear audio through the camera but it’s seems very clear and transparent of why it’s placed there (security). However a camera outside would still do the job. We would stay here again :)

Great value for an entire apartment. Took advantage of laundry in the unit and a nice balcony overlooking the river. Walking distance to restaurants, convenience stores and tram line.

The host is very kind. I was also grateful for the response to the inquiry. The location of the accommodation was perfect. It was right next to the Gamitori Arcade, and the central Shimotori Arcade was also close. It was so convenient to move even when it rained because the arcade was close. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable, so I had a pleasant trip.👍

Great guesthouse with parking and close to train station. The living room is tatami fitted which is very comfortable. Will definitely stay here again if we visit Kumamoto in the future

Aya's place was spotless and had all the amenities we needed as a family of 4. Aya was also very thoughtful in the way the apartment was set up, she went above and beyond with instructions and tips on how to use different features, e.g. the washer dryer, which we really appreciated. Great location and very accessible by car, with free parking. We'd recommend this place!

A beautifully designed and aesthetically pleasing home. The projector-style TV with Netflix was a great touch and the room felt cosy and welcoming. The house was spotless and well maintained. While the kitchen is compact, it’s fully equipped with all the essentials. Do note that the bathroom is located just outside the house, a private shared onsen-style shower about a minute’s walk away. The host was very thoughtful, two facial masks were thoughtfully placed by the vanity, perfect for some skin pampering after a long day. The area is quiet, which I really appreciated and the vanity mirror had excellent lighting ideal for doing makeup.

I was worried about my first trip to Beppu, but it was close to the train station, so I was able to travel very comfortably. I traveled at Christmas time and really appreciated the Christmas cake the host prepared for me. There were a lot of restaurants around the accommodation, so I ate out, and if you go down a little bit, it was good for shopping because it was at Tokiwa Department Store. I think it would be a good choice if you are preparing for a trip to Beppu.

Just a perfect flat, everything what you need wirh good Connections to the center! The onsen was very relaxing and Together with the sauna a perfect spa retreat for The night :) i can fully recommend it :)!

The foreigner at the receptionist was friendly and my 1-year-old son asked for a high touch (^ ^) It was a good trip.I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.

This farmhouse is a very relaxing and beautiful place! We loved to just chill there in the evening and enjoy the tranquility of slow life.

The room is spacious and very comfortable. It has everything you need. It should add a clothes hanger and a place to put your toiletries in the bathroom.

I had a wonderful time. Seigo is very friendly and helpful and even invited me to a small tour of the old town. A wonderful opportunity for me to learn more about the area and practice my Japanese. The place is very nicely renovated and feels right at home. As usual for Japan, all rooms are a little narrow and not highly insulated. I was in the place for a week and the only guest on several days, it felt like the whole house belonged to me.
