Revitalization of a 106-year-old inn and storehouse, featuring a Japanese moss garden and a semi-open-air bath, 188 m² [Limited to one group per day, Kominya Mitsuhama Inn]
┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ ◆ Limited to one group per day/private ~ long-established ryokan and warehouse experience-style stay ◆ ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ ■ Location, History, Features ■ In Mitsuhama, the port town of Matsuyama/Dogo, there are four white-walled storehouses built in the Edo period and four gardens surrounding a 106-year-old long-established kaiseki ryokan (formerly the Kanaga Ryokan). The white plastered earthen walls, natural Kenji-ji bamboo fences, and other features have been gradually renovated and revitalized (currently in the process of revitalization).Originally an old house opened as an almost 100% inbound accommodation. We are conducting a semi open-air bath in the interior of the warehouse and renovation work centered around the water. ■ Soothing moss garden ■ There are three gardens: a front garden, a courtyard, and a back garden. Well water flows everywhere, and there is a stream that flows between the water basin, the gourd, the deer repeller, and the stepping stones. The pond is home to koi, goldfish, medaka, conger eel, and river shrimp, and it is a biotope space where wild birds visit. ■ Chick-in lounge (cafe/bar space), souvenir corner ■ You can drink authentic cocktails on the first floor of the main building. There is a souvenir corner with imported interior goods, accessories, natural stone, and more from Japan, Bali, and other countries.

By the sea. Limited to 1 group per day.Hot spring nearby. An inn nestled in a quiet alleyway Stone kiln pizza experience & Oyado Aoin (Mito)
After living in Osaka, I made a U-turn to my hometown. "I want to create a place where people can gather and smile" With that in mind, we repeatedly renovated the place ourselves "Mito" was born. The warmth of handmade items, It is an inn where you can feel the time flowing slowly. On March 31, 2024, we opened the Stone Oven Pizza Experience & Oyado Miori. "Families with children and people traveling through, I want it to be a place where you can relax and rest your mind. We cherish that sentiment. The accommodation is somewhat nostalgic You can relax your shoulders There are no luxurious amenities, but The warmth of handmade items, You can relax and enjoy your time. Kashima National Park is right in front of you 3 minutes by boat The sunset is very beautiful. A house overlooking the Seto Inland Sea
The ultimate hideaway to escape the noisy, busy city, and spend time quietly with family, loved ones, and close friends, just watching the sea. I created this accommodation because I wish there was a place like this. ☆This is not a hotel. We want you to think about how you want to spend your time. On sunny days, enjoy morning coffee on the large wooden deck. In the cold winter, warm up with a wood stove, and make and eat a delicious meal yourself. Play your favorite music, and read surrounded by books lining the walls. Take a walk to Gero Station while catching a glimpse of life in Gero. Fishing at sea, picking azaleas, bamboo shoots, and wild potatoes in the mountains, and eating them yourself. Long stays are recommended. Based at Shimonada Cabin, it is about an hour's drive to Matsuyama City. 2.5 hours to Shimanto River. 3 hours to Shikoku Karst. Shopping can be done in Iyo City or Nagahama Town, or you can buy from local fishmongers and greengrocers and cook for yourself. Of course, you can also eat at a nearby restaurant if you book. Anyway, I want you to relax at Shimonada Cabin. One night is too wasteful. I recommend at least 2 days. It is a place that can be enjoyed in good weather or bad.

Enjoy a villa with stunning views of the Seto Inland Sea like no other.

Dogo Onsen is an 8-minute walk | Right in front of Dogo Park | Stay "as if you were living there" in a cozy 6-tatami mat Japanese-style room
[The thoughts put into this room] Nice to meet you. I'm Kei, your host. When creating this room, the main thing I thought about was, "For those who come to Japan, I want to make it a room where you can experience Japanese culture even a little bit." Lay a futon on the tatami mat yourself and sleep. Relax on cushions around a low table. It's a time that Japanese people take for granted in their daily lives, so I want you to experience it during your trip. To make your stay as comfortable as possible, the kitchen wallpaper, sink panels, We replaced the flooring around the entrance one by one with our own hands. The floor at the entrance, in keeping with the proximity of Dogo Onsen, We chose a pattern inspired by the changing room of an old-fashioned public bath. When traveling with small children, the mother is often the one who works the hardest. So, aiming for a room where women in particular can breathe a sigh of relief, We are also gradually improving the amenities. A room where you can rest while keeping the Japanese atmosphere of Dogo Onsen in your heart. We hope you enjoy a "home-like stay" that is different from a hotel.

Entire house with stunning views of the sea and the bridge | Sauna available for an additional fee | Base for your Shimanami Kaido journey
Hi there, Right in front of the inn are the Seto Inland Sea and the Shimanami Bridge. A calm ocean in the morning, a gentle breeze during the day, and the sun setting over the ocean in the evening. As time passes, the scenery gradually changes. Just looking outside and doing nothing, Before they know it, their attention shifts to their own senses. It's a place where time like that passes. For BBQ, a gas grill is provided. Please purchase food and beverages at a supermarket or similar establishment on the island. Spending time around a fire outdoors helps you connect with nature and engage in conversation. Since this is a private rental accommodation with just one group at a time, You can spend time at your own pace without worrying about your surroundings. A sauna (additional charge) is also available. Warm up and feel the breeze outside. In the midst of this cycle, there are moments when you suddenly become aware of being “here and now.” During our trip along the Shimanami Kaido, Recommended for those who want to have a more laid-back stay.
