Apartment vacation rentals in Ocean Beach, San Diego

We were visiting with our infant for my husband to run the San Diego marathon. The place was the perfect size for the 3 of us, and the location was perfect for everything we wanted to do. The beach and restaurants were walking distance for us, and downtown was a quick drive for us to attend a couple of padres games at petco park and the marathon. Check-in was easy and the hosts were so very responsive. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

An amazing little quiet retreat within walking distance to the beach and restaurants and just a quick ride downtown. I felt right at home and comfortable during my stay. I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway without the downtown noise while trying to relax at night.

This place was in such a convenient location with so many places to walk to! The unit was clean and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was also really nice and big. Would definitely stay here again!

Had a great stay! Wonderful spot, easy to walk to the beach and the main drag in Ocean Beach, while still private and quiet. Lovely outdoor space to enjoy the sun!

Marks place was excellent, easy to find and very walkable to many restaurants and the beach. Easy drive to Mission Bay, downtown and many other activities. The kitchen is a bit tight but has all appliances (no dishwasher) plus having a washer/dryer is great. Having a parking spot is convenient but you do need to move your car for garbage day on Mondays. It does get a bit warm but there are fans for your use. Would definitely return for our short stays.

James was very responsive, let us check in early and answered every question we had! Such a comfortable and clean space, perfect for 2 people!

We really enjoyed our stay—the apartment is bright, clean, and well-appointed, and the host was responsive and welcoming. A couple of things to note that weren’t in the listing: the washer and dryer are located down the hall (not in the unit itself), and parking can be a bit tight—plan to arrive during off-peak hours or be prepared for street parking. Otherwise, it’s a wonderful place to call home during your trip!

I had such a great time at Tori's place! She was always very responsive, let me check in early, and had everything you might need neatly organized and labeled in the apartment. When you first drive in, it looks like you're driving into Miguel's Cocina, but the apartment was quite sound proof and facing the opposite direction, so you couldn't tell you were staying next to a popular restaurant. The overall location was perfectly a 15-20 minute drive away from all the popular spots in San Diego, and I would definitely book this place again when I go back!

I booked this stay for my older father. He prefers simple and quaint and this was perfect for him. He loved our walks around the neighborhood and had no complaints about the place.

Cody was a great host! Very easy check-in, clean house. We used the kitchen a few times for breakfast and had all the basic necessities we needed. Toaster oven was a plus to heat up leftovers we had from eating out! Easy walk to the main OB strip. Quiet area, although parking can be hard to find. If you have a vehicle, I recommend parking in the early evening to get a spot nearby. Overall, great stay! Would recommend.

Everything we needed was in walking distance and having parking included was something we were looking for.

Kathleen’s place was a great location had everything we wanted for a dog friendly beach vacation trip!!! couldn’t be much closer to dog Beach as well as the normal beach walkable to Newport Avenue and the pier and all the restaurants in the neighborhood. The view was awesome. Front patio was great to kick back and people watch. Very friendly host that allowed us an early check in,which really helped with our travel plans informative and friendly would definitely recommend staying here for a couple or a couple and a small child especially with a fur buddy for a beach trip!!!!!

I had a great time during my stay. I came for the Marathon, and this place was ideal for a quick visit. The location couldn’t be better—Ocean Beach and a variety of great restaurants were all within walking distance. Contrary to some older reviews, I didn’t experience any noise issues. The area was actually quiet, filled with families and friendly locals. A nice bonus: there were beach chairs and an umbrella provided, which made the beach time even better. Would definitely stay again!

Would love to come back for a short stay again. Location location location with the cozy, comfy, classy touches making it an enjoyable getaway. Street parking was easy and the accessibility to nice 🍕 joints, cafes, tattoo parlors, watering holes, Orangetheory, runs to water front 🏖️ and yes - Pacific beach 🎉 scene was so convenient. Once parked no real need to drive!! (A🪞 over the kitchen sink to make 🪒 easier?) The place was well stocked for us to cook some home meals for our SDSU daughter… (who loved the TJ tote bag 😉 btw) and the water/creamer/drinks in fridge were nice touch We could tell the owners have nice taste, design smarts and have lived in Airbnbs enough to cater to fun getaways!

My fiancé and I had a fantastic stay! The home was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated. The location was perfect: quiet yet close to several walkable restaurants. Very clear check-in instructions, which made everything super easy. I especially appreciated the little touches like the automatic shutters, easy to use A/C units, and local recommendations. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Brandon was extremely kind and helpful when making the reservation and during my stay. He even personally came to assist when I accidentally locked myself out! I loved that everything was walkable. Dog beach was 5 minutes away and my pups were so happy. I was able to go to the farmer’s market on Wednesday evening and feel like a local.

Place was very nice and worked well for us. Definitely keeping in mind for future visits.

Location is the best about 150 yds from ocean and 100 yds to small supermarket and eating places. Cy is the most diligent host we have encountered. Lives on site and constantly making small, useful improvements

The apartment is located in a new building with a beautiful lobby and a lovely terrace. It’s quiet enough and conveniently close to the Gaslamp Quarter. The place is clean and features an elegant design. The kitchen and bathroom are fully equipped with everything you might need. Overall, the stay was extremely comfortable, with a clear sense of care for the guest’s experience. There is some construction nearby, but it didn’t cause any discomfort at all — nothing to worry about.

Ricardo is a extremely detailed host and the place was exactly as described. Location was convenient because every major city within San Diego was only about 10 mins if that!

Adam was an absolute lifesaver. After being left stranded by another host, I sent a last-minute request and he responded right away with kindness and professionalism. The home was immaculate, with so many thoughtful and charming touches that made me feel right at home. The space was quiet, the water pressure and temperature were perfect, and everything was just as described. There was a minor issue with a guest accidentally taking my parking spot, but Adam resolved it immediately—he was truly on top of everything. This stay turned what could’ve been a stressful night into a peaceful and welcoming experience. I’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend booking with Adam !

Kim's place was inviting, space friendly, and full of all the amenities you need. Her cabinets are fully stocked with household toiletries, soap, fresh towels, & We loved how all the beaches and stores were 5 minutes away driving. The patio in the back was set up nice and shaded. We enjoyed bbq w/the pitts and there is a hot sauna. I recommend this spot to any future guest stay.

Can’t say enough great things about this place! First off, Jay and Erika are PHENOMENAL hosts! There was a minor issue with the hot tub, and it was fixed the very next day! Jay and Erika were prompt in tending to the issue and making sure everything was up to par! The gravel parking area behind the unit is perfect and has ample room for multiple cars! The unit is in a very quiet and chill neighborhood and about 15 minutes from a plethora of restaurants in North Park! The hot tub and bed are both great for certain activities (wink wink), and the Roku TV is also a great touch! I will add this place to my list of places to stay when visiting San Diego, and will be booking again soon! Don’t hesitate to book Jay’s and Erika’s place!

Hector was an amazing host, very proactive and great response time. The place is central to everything you need while visiting San Diego. My wife and I travel a lot, so this was a great choice for us. The place and neighborhood were very quiet and the place is well kept. We’d gladly book with Hector anytime we’re in SD… 10 out of 10 host.
