Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Oakland County

This is our second time staying at Brandon’s for the Motor City Irish Fest and Detroit Feis. It was 20 minutes from everything we needed to be at the entire weekend. Great place for families with dogs. Nice walkable neighborhood.

Julie’s house was perfect - excellent location , comfortable beds, very nice furniture and layout . We walked everywhere, to restaurants, parks and coffee shops. The kitchen was well stocked, appliances were top notch. Julie was very responsive- Don’t hesitate to book this. You will love it!!

Emily was an amazing host and extremely responsive whenever we had a question! We loved using the kayaks, bonfire pit, outdoor patio, and grill! It was a quintessential Michigan summer retreat! The lake was beautiful, peaceful and private. The canal was a short distance from the main lake and we kayaked out to it daily! There were tons of chairs, games and supplies in the garage! The house had everything we needed (updated kitchen and bathroom, washer/dryer, and AC)! We brought out newborn baby and there was plenty of room in the primary bedroom for a pack and play :) would recommend!

The place was perfect and very relaxing. Enough space for our big family plus grandma and grandpa. We all had fun fishing from the dock and playing on the kayaks. We even enjoyed a fire in the fire pit every night. Colleen was fabulous and made sure we had everything we needed!

Their place was absolutely clean! Felt and smelled disinfected and was spotless! Kitchen was fully stocked and very nice! The place overall was amazing! Mattresses were very comfy. Living room furniture is the only thing I didn’t like besides the outside patio furniture. But definitely a five star place. If anyone says otherwise that is very concerning. These ladies went above and beyond to provide a modern spotless place in a safe neighborhood with many accommodations! Close to many shops and restaurants! This should be anyone’s first pick if staying in Detroit. Not even the Ritz-Carlton felt and looked as clean as their place!

TLDR: Fantastic Airbnb, even better hosts, would stay again in a heartbeat. We had a bachelor party with 8 people and all of us thoroughly enjoyed the house. We were pleasantly surprised by its size and amenities. It matched the pictures and was quite clean. The neighborhood was quiet and in a great location for doing activities all across Detroit, Auburn Hills, Novi, you name it. We shared a concern about linens/pillows from reading reviews and before our stay, they upgraded all of them around the house, such a nice touch that was very appreciated! Thus, we all got great sleep. The owners were extremely friendly and responsive, even after 1 am. Check in & check out were easy. Only a few recommendations such as reupholstering/replacing the living room couch as the padding is worn out, keeping a vacuum on site, and sweeping the garage to get leaves/debris out.

We were blown away by the size of the fenced backyard!! It was a clean well maintained space with lots of shade.. My dogs absolutely loved hanging out there!! The place was clean, as described and stocked with everything you can imagine needing!! It was also nice to have a few things in refrigerator and freezer for breakfast. Would 100% stay again!! 5/5 🐾

We had to come last minute to town for a funeral so this was the perfect location to go to and from everywhere we needed to be throughout the weekend. Nothing fancy and not necessarily a place to rent for multiple days if you need it long term and want to use the living space (couches are not cozy at all and not really able to comfortably seat anyone over 5’4”). No tv in bedroom which was a bummer since couches weren’t ideal but overall this place is perfect if you just need a place to shower and sleep each night. Would consider booking again if life brings us back this way for another quick weekend.

The place was great. Loved the decor!!! It felt like a hotel stay. Very clean and organized. It was comfortable and Em was a great host. She was very kind, patient and accommodating.

Theo’s place was exactly as described! It’s located in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of street parking. Theo provided excellent recommendations and was quick to respond to any issues or questions we had. Definitely recommend staying here!

Everything was very clean, the decor was beautiful

We had a great stay! The location was excellent and the space itself felt open and comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean, which we really appreciated. The TVs were large and awesome for winding down, and the main bed was extremely comfortable. The pull-out couch worked well for the kids, and the unit was surprisingly quiet. Barely heard a peep from the other units. We’d definitely stay here again.
