Nice accommodation in an old and very authentic country house. We have stayed several times with Bernadette who is a very friendly hostess. When the season allows, lunch and coffee breaks in the garden are highly appreciated. Nice location to explore the Blaye area and surroundings. We recommend it.

One of the nicest locations we’ve ever visited! Peaceful, beautiful location and comfortable, well-appointed lodging. Gracious, responsive host. Walking distance to a small pharmacy, small grocery store, and very nice restaurant. We would like to go back again!

Superb cottage, very cozy to relax in the countryside, very nice walks nearby, the flowery outdoor area is very nice and the decor of the house is charming and makes you feel at home!

This stay was incredibly relaxing in a quiet environment, in the heart of nature and with crazy charm. This country guest home is a great setting to relax, and rest after a full day of sightseeing and traveling. Valerie received us and explained well the home set up and answered any questions. The Jacuzzi was a big plus and we had relaxing meals in the back patio and used the grill while accompanied by the curious lambs and chickens roaming free but separate from our space, adding to the wonderful feeling of connecting with your surroundings, we didn’t access the river but you have the option to kayak if thats your thing. highly recommend.

We felt right at home. The hosts are wonderful and very attentive. Jean Michel took us to feed the chickens and collect eggs, and even took us to his house while Nadine cooked some delicious sweets that she shared with us. My 4-year-old daughter has been very happy. We went with our dog and she enjoyed the large space and garden. The house is super complete, it has everything. Rural location but perfect to visit the vineyards of Blaye. The jacuzzi overlooking the countryside is a plus.

Great modern house with all the comforts. It seemed difficult to find in advance, but was very easy to find afterwards. Pool not used (too cold). The host had prepared delicious breakfast and dinner (for a fee). The horses in the meadow around the house as well as the tranquility and the view the valley in amazing. Everything fenced for the dog. Sitting outside under the canopy with a blanket with welcome drink and snack :D We have plans to go in November instead of 2 nights, a week...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Le Petit Cinq Ruffe. Caroline and Paul were excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The property was lovely and met all our needs. The location was very rural and quiet; exactly what we had hoped for. The welcome included a lovely platter of local produce and delicious wine. We thoroughly enjoyed it! We would not hesitate to highly recommend this property.

We had a great time. The location of the cabin in the middle of the fields and forest is idyllic. The cabin is tastefully decorated and has everything you need to have a great time together. Virginie and Marc are perfect hosts!

We spent a night at Virginia’s place and we did not want to leave, it was so peaceful and relaxing. The parking was easy and next to the property and Virginia greeted us on our arrival. The property was amazing and the grounds very extensive with lovely views. We would definitely stay here again if ever we are in the area. We had a magical 5 day stay at Le Moulin Vert, would highly HIGHLY recommend! The house itself is beautifully decorated, really well stocked kitchen, spacious living area and comfy seating inside and out on the veranda. The views of the mill pond were second-to-none in the evenings, and loved exploring the extensive gardens and river swimming spots round the property. Nicki & Brendan gave great local recommendations so no extra planning needed! It was an enchanting and relaxing experience in a very special space.

Very well-equipped, very pleasant and very clean accommodation. Less than 1/2 hour from Beauval Zoo and several castles. exactly what we were looking for. very pleasant stay. Recommended without hesitation.

The perfect holiday getaway with great hosts. Will be difficult to find somewhere else comparable , after you have set the bar so very high. Would fully recommend to anyone.

Virginie's place just outside Saint Emilion is a beautiful place to stay. Surrounded by vines on this working winery. the cottage is very spacious and has all the amenities we need. It was lovely to sit outside, surrounded by vines on a sunny afternoon, with a wine, playing a game of Bocce ! This is a much better option than staying in Saint Emilion, which is less than a 5 min drive away Would highly recommend Virginie's place to enjoy a wonderful few days in Saint Emilion

Wonderful stay beautiful house and surroundings so peaceful & quiet. Easily accessible to the very beautiful St Emilion & surrounding villages. Jean-Daniel was great and very helpful with everything. Would definitely stay again.

Arrived in a 9-person minibus, all retired and not necessarily good walkers, the place immediately filled us with both the services and the welcome of Kattalin's parents, unfailing simplicity, a kindness rare these days, a breathtaking landscape and view. On the last day, we allowed ourselves to grill with local products, on a sunny terrace, what more could you ask for. I think I'll keep this address in a corner of my mind because in half an hour, you're in Spain, caves and chasms nearby, welcoming restaurants and the sea 3/4 hours away. Thanks to Kattalin and her parents and their grandson who I know will be a farmer like we'd like to see. Thank you

We have just had the most amazing stay here! The house and grounds are stunning with amazing views. The house is very close to Bergerac but is very private in the countryside with vast grounds. We had such a peaceful and relaxing break. Jil was a wonderful host, so responsive and helpful. She sent great instructions for our arrival, lots of recommendations and also came over on the evening of our arrival to make sure we were comfortable and to explain things around the house, which was appreciated. Would love to stay again and will be recommending to friends and family!

‘Le Barn’, in the grounds of Chateau Belebat, is a charming accommodation which is beautifully and tastefully presented by the engaging hosts Jeff and Oscar. It is a peaceful, rural location, ideal as a base from which to explore this area of the Loire by car. For those on 2 wheels, it is worth mentioning the cycle path close by which connects to the local village with the all important Boulanger just 2km away from Le Barn. The nearby town of Richelieu is worth a visit and there are numerous other attractions in the locality. We picnicked by the river, tasted and bought wine in various Chateaux, explored Saumur, Chinon, Amboise, and several smaller villages, discovered charming restaurants, explored local markets and toured some of beautiful Chateaux gardens. Overall a wonderful spot although the little seating area outside Le Barn is not particularly private or comfortable if one wanted to chill/sleep/read a book in complete peace for an hour or two after a hard day sightseeing.

The Aframe house is isolated with a gorgeous view. Our 10 day stay was accentuated with dodging sheep and cows in the road and frequent walks. Serge and Danielle were great hosts.
