Vacation rentals with lake access in Norway

Stein-Ove and Marita are the best possible hosts, as they do their ultimate best to make sure that their guests have a phenomenal experience, in their fabulous house, in the unique environment of Lofoten. What stands out the most, from my view, is that the guests get the real experience of real life in such remote area of the world. This was my and my wife's intention, totally fulfilled beyond expectations, and we will never forget what we saw and how we felt. The house is situated in a magnificent location, between splendid mountains and coastline, and still easily accessible via a road where there is very little traffic, which ensure total peace. We felt what it means to have a family life in Lofoten, basically the experience cannot be more authentic, truly. Needless to say, the house was spotlessly clean and had all facilities to feel at home, e.g. we could use the kitchen to have a peaceful dinner overlooking the ocean. In brief, if you want the real experience, do book this house!

Amazing cabin in Ringvassøya, as quiet as the arctic countryside but conveniently located 30mins from Tromsø! The house, fully furnished and equipped, is just beautiful, it feels like being on a boat… the sauna in front of the Ocean is an absolute blast! Tina and René have been super reactive and helpful when needed! Couldn’t ask for more! :) hope to see you next time!

The house is very modernly renovated and beautifully and stylishly furnished. We felt comfortable there. The bed was super comfortable, we slept wonderfully. The lakeside location was super quiet and perfect for switching off. We liked it there, but the house could use a little love in one place or another. Communication with Benjamin was great and he responded quickly to any questions.

I have visited this wonderful place multiple times - it's a fantastic destination with a great host. Everything is always very easy (communication, booking, etc.) and the house is in excellent condition. The kitchen in particular is very well stocked for those who love to cook. Thank you again for a good visit.

Wonderful place with a magical view of the fjord, you can go there without so much as a second thought!

Wow! What an amazing place! It is like staying at a friends home - super comfortable, homey, and relaxing. The "sun room" was enchanting and we sat there for fours enjoying the different moods of the fjord. The location was beyond anything I can describe - it was so quiet! Lindy was very responsive and quick. There was nothing that could not have asked for!

We loved our stay at Stranda house touching the fjord. The location is beautiful. The kitchen is well equipped. We were on a long trip so the washer and dryer were wonderful to have. The host was communicative. We would stay here again.

We were 8 adults who have had a great stay in a rich basement apartment with an incredibly nice view. Short distance to Røldalterasse and the ski resort. Easter 2025 will be remembered as memorable and fun. Espen as a host has to be experienced. He just wanted the best for us. Very good communication. Would love to come back.

Upon booking, I wrote we were going to a concert with Åke .Rune responded he had reserved 4 pils and a pizza ( famous song by Åke). Upon departure, Rune served 4 croissants and coffee. Lovely humor , welcoming and helpful . Would love to come again and recommend the place as our son did to us

Beautiful and peaceful surroundings . Lovely and cosy house. Felt right at home. Well located - close to Leknes (just 15 mins away) and most tourist spots are within 30 minutes. Host is responsive and has an efficient streamlined system. Instructions are crisp and direct. We recommend :)

I've stayed at Anna's place many times now and there's a reason I keep coming back. Anna is a terric host, kind friendly and always helpful. The apratment is neat, cleean, tidy and quiet with everything you need and within close walking distance to the city, and right beside several handy bus stops. If you're looking for a great place to stay in Tromso, this one is a personal favourite.

We had a fantastic few days. Knut was extremely welcoming when we arrived, and took time to show us around. The flat was very well equipped, especially the kitchen, and we loved the sofa and the view from it is incredible. We were warm and comfortable and I wish we’d stayed longer as there is so much to do around Stryn. Thank you Knut.

This was our second stay with Jon Robert & Anna. It is a beautiful place across a small road from the lake with mountain views - including views of waterfalls & the glacier. The apartment is decorated with personal touches, making you feel like you are at home. There are MANY things to do just a drive away. Ålesund is only an hour away. We also drove to Runde (the famous bird island) from here. Jon Robert has a printed guide book with exact routes on driving tours of the area. He is so helpful and friendly. The apartment is very clean, and in very good condition.

Jorun has had many guests in her house on Sommaroy. Like all guests before us, I can only confirm from the heart what a great hostess Jorun is and how comfortable we felt in her house from beginning to end!!!!! Even when arriving, the weather was anything but smooth, she was there for us with help and advice, thank you very much for that;) We will definitely come back again, on the one hand to enjoy Jorun's hospitality again and on the other hand to get a second chance to see the aurora lights, which unfortunately was not the case this time. We arrived late at night after a 4 hour drive from Narvik. The next day Cato showed me how to fill and heat the hottub and even took it upon himself to get it up to temp while we were out grocery shopping. That night we enjoyed gazing at the aurora borealis dancing above our heads in the hottub. A couple days later it got rainy and extremely windy preventing us from heating the hottub. As compensation Cato offered us use of his sauna and to take a swim in the sea, which we gladly did. He also gave us a whole cod for free from his fisherman's friend Tom which we used to make typical Norwegian dishes. Cato was extremely helpful and kind, he replied within minutes whenever we needed help or had any questions and he was full of amazing recommendations, as to where to hike and which towns and restaurants to visit. Towards the end of our stay it snowed a lot turning the surroundings into winter wonderland. We were very lucky to see all sides of Norway including the Northern lights!

I spent 4 days at Tor Helge’s cabin and had a perfect stay. The place is calm, private, and the view is just amazing! The property goes down to the shore and my dog enjoyed walking up and down to the boat house and smelling the rabbits which I actually saw around. The house is really comfortable with all that you could need. Communication with Tor Helge was very friendly and pleasant and he made sure I had all I needed. He also left a list of places to visit, and I went to most of them, and they were just amazing local gems. I highly recommend staying here and I do hope to come back again in the future.
