Farmstay vacation rentals in Norway

Absolutely stunning stay, I wish we had stayed longer. The farm is like a picture book from days gone by, our unit was from 1760 (with appropriate updates) and was like living in a history book. Many old books and items from the 1700 or 1800's. We were told that one of the houses dated from the 1500's. Lots of room and lovely antique furniture. The kitchen seemed well stocked although we didn't cook. Breakfast was wonderful with fresh baked bread and multiple fruits and cheeses. As a working sheep farm, there was enough activity to occupy us if we chose while still being totally relaxing.

My mother and I had a fantastic stay! The house was very clean and in good condition. The view was spectacular, much better than expected from images. Would highly recommend to stay here. Would love to come back one day.

Very easily a top-notch AirBnB experience — 10/10! Ivar and Astrid go above and beyond sharing their accommodations and cultivating a charming, cozy stay rich in family history. A peaceful oasis surrounded by nature for the adventurous. We adjusted our trip to spend more time here! Each detail — from the furniture, kitchen amenities and sauna to the radio, book collection, and wood burning stove — made us feel right at home. We hope to be back one day.

When we left Marit's home, we all felt a little emotional. The trip had been such a great time of rest and adventure, and the place felt like home. We ate breakfast and dinner at the home, which saved a lot of money, and we were also able to do laundry, which was incredibly helpful since we had packed very small bags. It would be impossible to describe how beautiful the home and surrounding countryside is - I live in a farming town in the mountains and it's hard to impress me with natural beauty, but Vik took our breath away. We listened to the bells of the sheep every morning and evening and hiked in the mountains above the rental. We watched local people play soccer and children go to school and boats come and go. We drove to Flam (beautiful, but Vik is 1000% more lovely), took a ferry to Balestrand (worth it), and fell in love with the drive over the tundra above Vik. Marit was a perfect, warm, kind, lovely host and we can't recommend the rental enough. We miss it already.

We loved waking up to the stunning view of the fjord and mountains every morning. It wasn't too far to drive from Stryn for supplies but felt secluded and private. The house had everything we needed for our stay. Ivar was very friendly and greeted us on arrival.

First of all..we were glad that we got this place…the host responded and assisted us to a late night check in and last minute reservation…we had a problem from an original reservation from a different town and location (midsund)..as soon as the Host respond within a minute that minute..we drove quickly..second to the last fery ride crossing molde…Welcome by the owner…OMGosh ..the farm house is gorgeous…For me this kinda 1 out 50 accommodations thats rarely to find if you know what i mean….Spacious…clean..private..and super comfortable :) …we so happy…honestly i dont wanna leave :)….thank you so much for hosting us and keep up the good work you guys done in the farm :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Erlend’s campervan. The area is accessible by car and is beautifully surrounded by mountains. Erlend answered all questions super promptly and was responsive.

Nice cozy place for a family. Walking distance to Flam Central

Beautiful house - was what we expected from the pictures. Scenery was unbelievable, it was quiet and private. Really wish the hot water had been working in the kitchen sink and outdoor shower. Also wish the hot tub wasn't an extra cost to use -- it should just be part of the overall price as it's one of the main draws and features in the rental description. Overall amazing, would stay again, but for the price, would want the hot water working.

We had very nice stay! Everything was as described, clean, tidy and comfortable. The host was easy to communicate with, and check-in went completely painlessly. Recommended!

Nice cabin with all amenities and amazing views. Both the kids and the adults thrived very well and we would love to come back another time.

Very good place and great with the possibility to buy food from the freezer so we got good buns for breakfast.

As a stopover, we booked with Bente. She is a great, super friendly host, and it was one of the nicest places for us in Norway. It is highly recommend.

A comfortable, very well-equipped house. Beautiful environment, peaceful, with magnificent views of the fjord. We enjoyed Mona's friendly, in-person welcome, which is too rare in Airbnbs

Flott sted!

Super location and exactly as described. We really enjoyed all the amenities, the surrounding area and the wildlife around the house such as various bird species. The house has beautiful and nice old accents and accessories which we really found to be an added value. The hot tub was amazing and super place. Our host Cato always responded super quickly and helpfully. Highly recommended, we hope to come back here again. Regards, Willem

Incredibly homey cabin, lovely views and provided peace and relaxation. Well equipped cabin and flexible host who found solutions for sleeping more than there were beds for. Very nice that there was early sun outside.

Very nice place. Absolutely perfect for families with children, with a lot to find for small and large persons. Lovely and sheltered space, quiet and quiet. Very nice play and helpful hosts. We'd love to come back!
