The Old Station Cottage (Bamburgh / Belford)

Andrew PeterRating, 5 stars4 days ago
I went to Tony’s place to finish the book I’ve been writing. I wanted a clean, well maintained cottage to find peace and quiet and Tony’s cottage was all that and more. Well placed for trips to seahouses, bamburgh, lindisfarne and the wider Northumbrian coast I couldn’t recommend the location or the facilities more highly. Tony communicated with me well so that check in and check out was smooth. A great place to stay.

Orchard Hideaway, 4* Luxury Lodge, wood hot tub!

EllieRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We stayed for a couple of nights to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday with our 2yr old and 11 yr old. We all had a fantastic time and felt extremely relaxed. The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful and lots of little walks to explore from the cabin. On the first evening we arrived we were greeted kindly by Maggie's son who told us about the local area and made us feel at home. The wood burning hot tub was preheated and ready for us to get in (lots of wood provided )The view from the cabin was amazing and within 5 minutes we saw multiple hares and a deer. We then enjoyed a relaxing evening in the hot tub looking at the stars and saw a barn owl from the woods flying over us. The next day we enjoyed playing at the tennis courts provided, enjoyed a local walk to the river and the hosts son introduced us to their "teddy bear" lambs. The next morning we visited a local cafe and play area recommended by the Maggie which was fantastic. Best Airbnb stay we've ever stayed at!

Our stay in Hethpool was simply perfect. The cottage is cosy, clean and provides everything you’d need. The area is a natural beauty with loads of walks to choose from. The cottage is private and secure but with help just a minute away. We will return again as we had no issues which is great considering we had children and 5 dogs!! Not one minute of stress during our stay. Just the perfect break. Thank you so much.

we had an amazing stay. the hosts were brilliant with directions, local things to do. we were staying for a wedding close by. They offered us a lift to save a taxi fare ( not needed but very much appreciated) pointed us in the direction of the river so my wife could go for a wild swim. the dogs are great and came with us whilst we were outside and super friendly. the accommodation was perfect for our needs and we will definitely return for another peaceful stay in Northumberland. we left super early to go collect the kids after the wedding and we were given bacon rolls in lovely cheese bread bun. so nice and got us through the long drive. 10/10 stay thank you so much for hosting us. We had the best time staying in Shep - such quirky accommodation, with everything you could need. The kids especially loved the raised sleeping area and bathroom set up! The views were spectacular, it was so peaceful and we just felt really relaxed. Thoroughly enjoyed BBQing with the Eildon Hills for a view. Chris and family were super welcoming and we really enjoyed exploring the farm. Thanks for having us - we can’t wait to visit again!

Greymare Lookout

GeorgieRating, 5 stars5 days ago
A truly wonderful place to stay. Tucked away in beautiful and peaceful surroundings. The pond is very picturesque and a great place to see wildlife. We loved that you can build a fire inside and out and it was also a great place to have a BBQ. The cabin had a lot more than we needed. The host Georgie, has put a lot of thought into ensuring that there is everything available and was really welcoming and responsive. We would highly recommend staying here or at the other cabin, Greymare Outlook: https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/1251467779215888892?_set_bev_on_new_domain=1749415504_EANjg3MzY5MGQ0MD&source_impression_id=p3_1749415522_P3DjcU_zhtWLpQfP We definitely plan to book either cabin again in the future. We have such good memories of an amazing few days away!

Coastal Views, 3 en-suite bathrooms, dog friendly!

JoanneRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Just wow! We’ve just got back from a simply amazing stay at Pam & Richard’s beautiful cottage. Some highlights for us were: 1) the little touches from treats for the dog to home baking, we felt so well looked after 2) the beautiful surroundings, it was so peaceful, no photos can really do it justice 3) the cottage itself, the beds were so comfortable, the bathrooms were spotless and it had everything you need. Pam and Richard were just lovely, and whilst they’re just next door, they didn’t impose at all, we had some brilliant recommendations for walks and food. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you both! x

We had a wonderful time! We were a group of six who hadn’t been away together before. We loved the spaciousness of the house, nobody was on top of each other. Plenty of utensils, (apart from the BBQ) towels etc and the views were spectacular albeit a tad too far from Rothbury and civilisation! All in all excellent!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Rural 2 bedroom cottage, 3 miles from the coast

LauraRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Scott was an amazing host who gave detailed information before arrival which was perfectly timed. He also sent a message to check everything was okay shortly into our stay. The house itself was incredibly comfortable and homely with lovely amenities. All products were high quality such as the cooking utensils, duvet, mattress etc which makes such a difference to a stay. Everything was really thought out as well with plenty of space to put our own food and belongings and properly settle in for the week. A gorgeous location perfectly situated for all the best bits of Northumberland to explore. I cannot recommend this cottage enough. If you book, look out for the barn owl who is nested in the trees at the bottom left of the field.
