Cottage vacation rentals in Northern Neck

The cottage was so cute, the back porch was so cozy and comfortable, the kitchen well stocked and everything was clean. The walk to the beach was so pleasant and super close, the hot tub was private and clean. We had a romantic weekend for two but this would be perfect for a young family, for some very relaxing beach time. The host was so gracious and responsive and the location so convenient from DC.

The house is wonderful! We enjoyed being in the fenced backyard with our dogs, hanging out on the dock watching the boats go by, or just sitting in the house admiring the view through the huge picture windows. It was very clean and had all that we needed for a relaxing get away weekend. Natalie was very responsive and very helpful with great local suggestions. Emily's Produce is only a few minutes away and has everything we needed, including fully cooked meals. We can't wait to come back!

Had a mini friend vacation with 6 people total and we all immediately felt right at home. The layout of the home is extremely convenient-there’s a half bath next to the washer/dryer right near the door to the deck- it was perfect for fast bathroom breaks without getting the entire house wet! We spent most of our time in the pool area and game room, and both spaces had everything we needed! (Nadia, I hope you don’t mind we left a few pool new loungers behind!) We took advantage of pretty much everything aside from swimming in the lake (bugs were really bad, no one’s fault at all but be warned- you NEED to have bug spray.) The only critique I could give was the softness of the beds, they were all really firm and if you have any sort of sleeping and or back/pain problems, it could be evident the next morning. But overall it was an amazing time and the host was extremely courteous and genuinely caring! A lot of love goes into this spot and you can tell. We can’t wait to go back.

Our stay in this home was such a treat! We enjoyed utilizing the kayaks to boat around in Chesapeake Bay. The hot tub was an absolute delight, perfect for evening stargazing, saw lots of shooting stars, and could see the water of the bay from the hot tub. We also enjoyed doing November cold plunges from the hot tub to the pool. While the living room is not expansive, it fit our needs for family game & movie nights. The bed linens were so comfortable, and Lori was beautifully responsive & friendly when we would reach out with a question. We also enjoyed the nearby Sandy beaches.

This house was perfect for our long weekend getaway! The hot tub was definitely the highlight of each night. It rained just about every night we were there, but having the hot tub cover was really great. Listening to the rain in the hot tub was so peaceful! The kitchen is well stocked which made it easy for us to make dinner for our friends that were also in town. The bed was very comfortable too!

This lake house was such a relaxing place to stay! Had everything we needed and then some. It’s a bit of a hill to climb to get back to the house from the lake but not terrible. The beach recommendations were great! We found a ton of shark teeth and the kids really enjoyed themselves.

Surrounded by trees and the sound of waves- perfect place to relax & unwind. Quick but steep hike to the secret beach. Cool spot and more shell than I expected. Kyli was a responsive host, answered all my questions. Also, recommended Island Hideaway for dinner and it was amazing. Homemade pasta and desserts made in house daily. Great views and delicious foods & drinks.

Had such a lovely stay at the Little House to attend a wedding at the Maritime Museum which is virtually next door. We hope to be back again when we have more time to enjoy the gorgeous view, little beach, and walk to a restaurant or two. Perfect location and we were in awe at how many stars we could see with so little light pollution compared to our home in the suburbs. 🩷 Even with summer temps the screen porch with fan was the best way to wind down in the evening. They’ve thought of everything you could possibly need!

This quaint little cottage was absolutely adorable. It was bright, cherry, and well lit. The furniture was comfortable, and the bathroom was large and very clean Our dog enjoyed the fenced in large property. We felt very safe amongst the trees and the setting of the home. The owners are so nice and warm. Would come back for sure.

Bee Haven is a perfect size for 2-4 people. It is nicely decorated and has everything you need to feel at home. It is located in a very peaceful, quiet area, perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. It is close to many activities to keep you busy. It is also close to a lot of restaurants. The front porch is a nice place to start your day with coffee and end your day with beverage of choice. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The house was nice, cozy, and felt like a home away from home, which made it easy to relax from the moment we arrived. The view was absolutely breathtaking—we found ourselves simply gazing out and soaking it all in. A highlight of our trip was the time we spent fishing on the beach; it was peaceful, fun, and made for some unforgettable memories. What made our stay even better was the warm and welcoming family next door. They were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help us with the few questions we had. It was a small gesture that made a big difference. This place was everything we hoped for and more. We'd absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a serene, comfortable spot to unwind and enjoy nature.

This was the third year in a row that we’ve stayed here - one renting from the previous owner and two from Sherri. We love it here. It’s great for two folks. The previous two times we had our early-teen granddaughter with us. Three folks is just a slight amount less spacious tha it was with two this year. Three was certainly doable though and not really inconvenient.

We had a great stay, it was exactly the relaxing family vacation we were looking for! Hyrum and Lisa were excellent hosts and made sure we had all the information we needed and everything was going well throughout the stay. Thank you Hyrum and Lisa!

As always, just an awesome getaway! The minute I pull up to the cottage and look out at the water, any stress just disappears. I’ve been coming here for a number of years and Angela and her cottage are second to none!! Angela is a wonderful host and provides great directions and recommendations and the cottage is just perfect. Thank you Angela for having this little gem!!!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home. The location has breathtaking waterfront views and spectacular sunsets. Very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The inside was immaculate and equipped with everything we needed. We really appreciated all the extras provided. Charming coastal decor throughout. We had a hiccup checking in but the situation was remedied quickly.

My friends and I immediately felt relaxed and cared for in this delightful home. We loved that it was right on the water and that we could enjoy seeing the Potomac River from so many rooms. The beds were very comfortable. Sue is a thoughtful and very pleasant host. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We had an amazing holiday weekend at Dave and Jenny’s cottage! They were always so quick to respond with any requests we had! The cottage as perfect and just like the pictures. They literally had thought of everything! The sunsets were absolutely stunning and it was truly the most relaxing time we’d had in a while! It was just what we needed !

This Airbnb exceeded all expectations! From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by how beautiful and thoughtfully designed the space was - every detail with stylish, comfortable, and impeccably clean. What really stood out, though was how well stocked everything was. The kitchen had every tool and appliance we could possibly need, there were plenty of fresh towels, extra blankets, and even small touches like coffee, toiletries that made our stay so easy and enjoyable, and very dog friendly! This was our fourth time staying at this beautiful house and we had an amazing time!! We had so many great adventures. Used the kayaks each day. Jumped off the pier. Enjoyed amazing food in Leonardtown as well as our own home cooked meals eating on the deck. The hosts are excellent and always responsive and helpful. The house is really lovely and we always feel at home. We look forward to Year Five!

4th year in a row taking our family vacation to this beautiful cottage . The house is beautiful and the view is beyond incredible. Very relaxing and highly recommended for anyone with small children looking for a relaxing retreat . Looking forward to coming back for year #5.
