Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Northern Europe

We had a lovely stay at Tethera Nook with our dog Luna! Emma and Craig were brilliant and it was lovely to see them working so hard on their gorgeous garden while we were there! It provided a lovely place to sit with a drink in the mornings! Their very friendly dog Capone always happy to come and say hello! It felt very private the whole week, walking distance to Kendal town, and we even hiked up to Scouts Scar which was recommended in the guide book (the views definitely did not disappoint). Tethera nook had everything we needed for our stay and with it being extremely hot the fan was an added bonus in keeping us and our dog cool! The eggs and veg that Emma leaves out is incredible and the little gifts of brownies, gin and jams on our arrival kept us going for the whole week! Everything was just perfect for our relaxing week away in the lakes, with close links to the rest of the national park! We would absolutely stay here again!

Wir haben das Haus und die Umgebung sehr geliebt! Die Ausstattung ist ein Traum – sogar noch viel besser als auf den Fotos! Wir waren überwältigt von der Sauna, dem Whirlpool, dem Kamin und der einzigartigen Lage mitten in der Natur. Es gibt Häuser in der Umgebung – aber man hat genug Privatsphäre. Alles war sauber und wir haben uns direkt wohl gefühlt. :) Man ist sehr schnell am Strand und auch nicht weit weg von Tallin. Wir wären gerne noch etwas länger geblieben! :) Nathalie

Sehr tolles, liebevoll eingerichtetes Haus um einen ruhigen und erholsamen Urlaub zu verbringen ohne auf jeglichen Komfort zu verzichten. Man fühlt sich vom ersten Augenblick an wie zu Hause. Das Grundstück lädt zum verweilen ein. Ob auf dem Schaukelstuhl oder auf der Schaukelliege hier findet jeder seinen Lieblingsplatz. Dir Gastgebern sind sehr freundlich und um das Wohl ihrer Gäste sehr bemüht.

This accommodation is perfect for a quiet retreat with stunning views of mountains and the beach from an elevated position. Access is via some narrow steep lanes but well worth it. Modern property with all facilities and perfect for a couple. Reading a book on the outside terrace overlooking the magnificent scenery was a real treat.

Semplicemente un angolo di paradiso, il perfetto rifugio per ricaricarsi e prendersi una pausa dallo stress della vita di città. La casa è un gioiello, finemente arredata e completa di tutti i confort indicati nell'annuncio, pulizia impeccabile. Stefano ed Elena sono ottimi padroni di casa, presenti e disponibili senza mai essere invadenti, con le loro piccole attenzioni ti fanno sentire a casa. Un grazie anche a Giulia per l'ottima accoglienza.

Ruhig. Direkter Strandzugang. Alles, was man braucht. Wer einfach mal absolut abschalten will und sich ungestört eine Brise Meer um die Nase blasen möchte oder ausgiebig Muscheln sammeln möchte, ist hier richtig. Die Kommunikation war klar verständlich, alles gut beschrieben. Klare Weiterempfehlung! :)

Es ist ein sehr schönes gepflegtes Haus, dass für 6 Personen vollkommen ausreichend ist und in dem es an Inventar nichts fehlt. Die Lage ist ruhig und etwas hinter kleinen Dünen zu den Nachbarn versteckt. Der Strandabschnitt ist sehr weitläufig und vergleichsweise zu andere Orten an der Küste einer der schöneren Abschnitten. In der Gegend gibt es fußläufig, außer dem Strand und einen kleinen Spielplatz gegenüber der Straße, nicht wirklich viel und der Rest ist meist nur mit dem Auto erreichbar. Die Buchung und Kommunikation mit Jesper war super. Er schickt proaktiv Hinweise, Anleitungen und beantwortet jegliche Frage zügig. Gerne wieder!!!

Ute war eine liebenswerte Gastgeberin. Das Bootshau, die ruhige Lage mit Aussicht auf den Teich, in dem man herrlich schwimmen konnte, ist einmalig.

A truly magical and unique stay in a castle apartment. After 24 days exploring the beauty of Italy, our arrival at Simone's third floor apartment in the village was breathtaking. This truly magnificent setting, nestled within a castle, immediately enveloped us in a serene and peaceful atmosphere. The apartment itself is not only beautifully appointed and meticulously cared for, but also boasts spectacular views across the mountain range that invited us to sit for hours, simply unwinding and soaking in the tranquility. While we ventured down the mountain a few times, we found ourselves drawn to the gentle rhythm of morning and evening walks, always culminating in a visit to the piazza to once again marvel at the stunning views Simone, our host, is simply the most considerate and attentive host I have encountered in 15 years of travel. This is a truly unique place for a special get away. The views all round are stunning and entire complex is so different to anywhere else. We absolutely loved it and would recommend hugely to anyone.

Peggy was extremely kind and responded quickly to our messages. She met us for check-in and explained everything!! The apartment is on the top floor and a 10 min walk to most things. The porch doesn’t have an ocean view, it is a view of the city which is still very pretty! The apartment was very very clean! I would definitely stay here again!! Parking was easy also. I highly recommend this Airbnb.

Wir hatten ein wundervolles Wochenende zu Viert und unseren 2 Hunden. Die Wohnung hat alles, was man benötigt. Wir haben gekocht, gegrillt und gechillt auf der tollen Terrasse. Die Wohnung hat einen sehr charmanten Stil und ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Optimale Lage mit Weitsicht, direkt vom Haus kann man schon auf Wanderschaft gehen. Danke an Alexander und Friederike für ein gelungenes Wochenende!

Wow Wow Wow, where to start? Every single aspect of our stay was incredible. We stayed for 5 days at the property and were constantly blown away by the views, the house, the facilities, the food, the ambience and the people. The Gran Paradiso national park is a hidden gem of a place and is beautiful no matter where you look. Andrea was the perfect host, he was so responsive to questions and is incredibly passionate about the area. This made all his tips, both hiking and food, absolutely spot on. The family owned gastronomy service is ideal for the house location and the food (breakfast/lunch/dinner) was fanastic, with the wine delivery being a personal highlight! Our stay excelled our expectations and will be recommending to friends and family at every opportunity, we will return one day in the future. Grazie mille, Rebecca & Jayden.

Wunderschöne Wohnung mit tollem Ausblick. Traumhafte Umgebung und viele Möglichkeiten die Natur zu genießen. Der Pool wird allerdings mit weiteren Gästen von der weiteren Wohnung geteilt. Dominique und ihr Partner waren sehr gastfreundlich und man fühlte sich willkommen. Gerne mal wieder

One of the coolest places we've ever stayed! So much attention to detail and perfect for Potter fans! The location is perfect for visiting the WB studio tour and easy access to the London rail system. Our time here was such a memorable experience for our family! We are so grateful to our kind and responsive hosts for sharing this special place with us.

We had a wonderful stay at pierre luigis home. It looks just like the pictures and is a very homey, relaxing place to stay. Has everything you need on hand. We loved the porch and its view and enjoyed the o of the hot tub. Great location to explore surrounding towns! Had a great time!

We LOVED El Solitaire! It is a beautiful house and pool with quality in every detail. The infinity pool is lovely and a good size for getting some lengths in. The view is stunning and it is one fo the most quiet and peaceful places we have stayed. The inside of the house is stylish, light and airy. The kitchen has everything a keen cook could wish for and it is such a lovely space to be in when preparing any meals. Everything was sparkling and clean. There was some welcome food and drink - always approciated. The fridge has cold running spring water and an icemaker ( no risk of running out of ice). Georgina gave us a warm welcome on arrival and was available for any questions. Craig was also welcoming, warm and friendly. Thank you both for all the little touches that made our week such a 5 Star experience!

La Boheme Chic was a heavenly little piece of Provence! We stayed four nights and always looked forward to coming back to the house after a day of exploring thanks to the pool and patio with its gorgeous view! We also appreciated the air conditioning, as we were there on very hot days. We could easily walk into Roussillion for dinner, and other pretty hill towns were just a short drive away. The house had everything we needed, including a dishwasher and washing machine. It was the ideal spot for exploring this part of the world! Florence was helpful and proactive in supplying us with everything we needed to know. All in all, a perfect stay!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the villa. It's in a spectacular location overlooking the lake and wider countryside. The villa is stylishly decorated with contemporary touches. It has all the amenities and practical things required - comfortable beds, good showers, BBQ, well equipped kitchen and outdoor seating. Friendly and efficient communication with the owner Luis. Overall we loved this place and will return.

een super verblijf gehad. mooie rustige locatie. voor vragen snelle reactie van de host en een leuk presentje gehad bij aan komst. zeker de moeite om nog eens te gaan of 1 van hun andere locaties te bezoeken

Ein Haus wie im Paradies. Die Mitternachtssonne über dem See zu sehen, war ein magisches Erlebnis. Wir haben stundenlang (bis in die frühen Morgenstunden) im sehr gemütlichen Wohnzimmer gesessen, die Stille und den wunderschönen Ausblick genossen. Mehrmals konnten wir sogar Rentiere auf dem Nachbargrundstück beobachten. Das gemütlichste Bett war das im Klavierzimmer, mit direktem Blick in den Garten und auf den See. Auch die anderen Betten waren gemütlich - oben auf der Empore nur schon etwas durchgelegen und die Einzelbetten unten waren für Erwachsene zu schmal. Wenn man sie aber zusammenschiebt, geht es wunderbar. Auf der Terrasse konnten wir es uns auf den Gartenmöbeln sehr gemütlich machen, die Sonne und den traumhaften Blick auf den See genießen. Auch die große Sauna im separaten Saunahäuschen und das Ruderboot haben wir natürlich gerne genutzt. Eine liebenswerte Geste der Gastgeberin waren Schokolade, Weintrauben und Limonade. Vielen Dank dafür!

En idyll med fantastisk utsikt. Man kunde känna lugnet samma sekund som man kom upp på den stora altanen. Allt man kunde tänkas behövas fanns på plats och Christoffer var alert och snabbt agerande på frågor och även till stor hjälp när vi hade råkat glömma en present i huset. Här finns allt man vill ha, grill, kök, redskap, utsikt, saker att göra, ett fantastiskt service mind och tillomed en jacuzzi att skåda den härliga solnedgången i. Det går inte annat än att varmt rekommendera en övernattning (eller fler) på detta härliga ställe!

Stunning place, nice and peaceful nothing around amazing for chill out time, but only few minutes drive to local show. Monica was amazing and very responsive to everything g we needed will definitely stay there again.
