Yurt in a private forest area. Walking distance to the cheese factory (ice cream, lunches, snacks), produce stands, and a park. Short drive to Madoc (groceries, beer/ LCBO, parks, beach, bakery, restaurants, etc). Perfect area for star gazing, long walks & bike rides. This yurt is in a camping setting, with indoor compost toilet, seasonal private outdoor shower, no wifi but there is electricity, dishes, indoor hot plate, BBQ, mini fridge, all pots & pans and bedding and clean drinking water.

Guests have their own cozy studio apartment, which is private and located on the ground floor with their own entrance. It does Not include the entire cabin. Has a kitchenette with BBQ outside. The Log Cabin is directly across from the Petroglyphs Provincial Park (May-Oct); however, you can hike all year long, even with the gates closed, and also down the road to Stoney Lake with full access to a public beach (May-Oct). Perfect getaway any time of the year.

Come visit our A-frame cabin in the woods on Eels Creek! I built this place myself over 18 months with some generous help from my friends and supervision from wife (in the form of naps). The area is known for its snowshoe and cross-country ski trails. At night we welcome you to cozy up by the outdoor firepit and enjoy the stars. Lots of firewood is provided with your rental. In the warmer months there is lots of hiking and paddling to do.
