Villa Myyry is a cozy and well-equipped villa on the banks of the Pielisjoki in the village of Kontiolahti Paihola. The villa has 77 m² downstairs and an additional large loft. The location is in a peaceful rural setting. The driveway is there and there is plenty of parking space in the yard. Allergy friendly, pets are prohibited. The bike trail can be accessed directly from the yard or on the ice of the River Pielisjoki for snowshoeing. Ski resort Kontiolahti Biathlon is about 10km away. Landlord lives next door.

Between fishes – our house on the lake in Finland

Our piece of land is located on Kaita Järvi– an about 8 km long and a few hundred meter wide lake – it is a small peninsula that looks to the south. That means: sun from morning to evening (if it shines). There right on the shore you find our log cabin, with sauna, bathroom, living room with open kitchen and two small bedrooms. A few meters next to it is a studio like guesthouse, the "Aita". It is also very cosy and comfortable, but provides no own bathroom. Village Savonranta is 5 km away.

Villa was build 1999-2000 as a second home from the family with basic facilities criteria for everyday living. Basic principle was to have a place to calm down but also a house for remote work in home village. Place is pretty nice on top of the hill, scenery is wide almost all over ... tens of kilometers. In winter, the ski track can be reached from the ice in front of the cottage. In addition, the ski trails of the Timitra ski resort are within walking distance of the cottage. Good hillside opportunities in the yard of the cottage, as well as a great setting for winter activities. However, the city's services are available a few kilometers away.
