Kid-friendly vacation rentals in North Cowichan

We had the good fortune to run into Jennifer when we pulled in to check in and had a lovely conversation. Her place is immaculate and the neighbourhood is really nice. We felt very safe in this area. Jennifer gave us some recommendations on where to eat and hike and I must say, the "local" Stoney Hill Trail is not difficult and rewards with spectacular viewpoints. I would say a must see if staying here. The Hand of Man Museum is literally in the neighbourhood and a quirky yet surprisingly comprehensive collection well worth checking out. Lots of eateries and things to do, easy to travel 'down' to Victoria or 'up' to Parksville and beyond. She is a very responsive host and was kind enough to go out and purchase some tower fans for each of the bedrooms when I expressed concern that the week of our visit may be hot. All around 5/5, don't hesitate to book. Thanks Jennifer, it was so nice meeting you!

My only comment is that is was very hard to find the place especially in the dark. Google maps took me to a neighbouring house and it was very confusing. That being said I didn’t fully ready the hosts instructions so she may have mentioned that! Wonderful place though, we would definitely stay here again.

Our host Guido was wonderful, friendly and quick to respond with any questions we had. Like many other posts state, the views are breathtaking and the residence is new, modern, and very clean.

Fantastic time here! Private getaway cabin with a unique outdoor sauna made this place extra special. Comfortable beds, and great space. We plan to come again :)

We enjoyed a wonderful stay! The view from the sitting room and balcony are exquisite. The hosts were most accommodating. The hiking trails on Mayne are very scenic. Highly recommended!

Amazing cute suite! the place was curated with such thought and detail. Good linens and amazing large shower. Very relaxing stay.

Stephen and Esther have thought of everything to make your stay seamless. There were instructions for everything, including operating the appliances (there's even a mini dishwasher!). There were also labels on all light switches, automatic night lights throughout the space, and bedside lamps with both USB outlets and wireless charging on both sides of the bed! They also provided a fantastic and generous selection of coffee and tea. Even after all of this, if I had a question, Stephen and Esther were always super quick to respond. Another huge bonus for me was meeting Pepper, who has to be the quietest, friendliest dog ever!

We loved this place. The view of cowichan bay and the marina are spectacular and cowichan bay in itself may be the cutest place we’ve ever been. Lots of great restaurants nearby and great for just strolling around. Astrid made an earlier check in possible which was great and the apartment was very clean and nicely decorated. We felt right at home! Highly recommend

Two words gorgeous views!!! Looked forward to having my cup of coffee on Kelley & Kent’s patio every morning. A very peaceful location tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Ganges, but still less than five minute trip into town. Both Kelley & Kent were very welcoming and accommodating to our early check in. Their air bnb had all the amenities you could need to make you feel right at home. Beds were super comfy! I would HIGHLY recommend booking this accommodation, you won’t be disappointed! :) Enjoy!

Harley’s place was pure magic. Perfectly situated and very well equipped, we felt right at home for our three-night stay in Port Renfrew. The views are even more breathtaking than the photos suggest, with tons of natural light spilling through the entire apartment. We were blown away by the wildlife sightings from the balcony and spent hours with the binoculars taking it all in. We would happily return to Harley’s property in the future.

THe apartment exceeded expectations. It was so spacious, sunny and with a great view of the water. The building was grand and very quiet. It was also near the town of Sidney and ferries going to multiple places. My mother and I both had a wonderful time staying here. Neighbors we met were friendly. It was lovely to sit on the balcony and watch the light change on the water and enjoy the lovely weather we had all week. We were only sorry to leave when it was time to go home!

Beautiful little place, private & clean, beautiful garden as well. Inside is beautiful and modern small but private and peaceful. Christine is very helpful and check in was very easy. Definitely would come again.

Excellent hosts! In-person greeting upon arrival, beautiful location, well equipped apartment, super comfy bed! Communication was great. We only had one night at Oceanus. Our only wish was that we had more time to explore the beautiful property. This would be an excellent home base for someone exploring the Island. Thank you to Saheed and Zahra 🥰

My group (4 adults) had a fantastic stay at Wayne's apartment. The apartment was spacious, well equipped (women's hygiene products, bathrobes, etc.), and very centrally located. Wayne was also very helpful in fulfilling a few of our requests such as providing us with a fan and an early check in. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a comfortable, central place to stay in Victoria.

Great pool and gym, quiet corner of a busy street, walkable everywhere and most of all an incredible friendly host

Our stay was amazing!! Christina had snacks placed out for us which we loved, the heated floor in the bathroom was awesome, temperature in the room was great, we really enjoyed the hot tub on sight and the restaurant within walking distance. We went for a walk on the nicely maintained walking trail beside the ocean, and then sat by the propane fireplace and watched the sun set. Lots of available covered parking, wish we stayed longer to try out the pool and other amenities. We loved our stay and would give 6 stars if possible, would stay again

We very much enjoyed our stay here. Conveniently located and overlooking the water, the apartment was very well appointed, clean and very cozy. On a cold evening, we enjoyed warming our feet by the outside fireplace. We’d recommend this place to anyone wanting to spend some time in Port Renfrew.

This place is so clean and comfortable. The host is super helpful providing tipis and instructions. Nice area to walk around for food and shopping. Easy to get around taking trains too. We love it!!

This was a wonderful condo - clean, exactly as represented, super close to everything (close views of the Empress, Parliament building, and bay were beautiful day and night). I loved all of the natural light coming in from the walls of windows, and we were high enough that we didn’t feel like people could just peek in. The hosts were responsive and very helpful. Because of great security in the building, checkin was a little trickier than in other Airbnb’s that we’ve stayed in, but the hosts walked us through it very well. Would definitely recommend.
