Farmstay vacation rentals in Nordland

The house is located on a beautiful hill overlooking the ocean & surrounding mountains, but with winter conditions a good car is definitely recommend. It’s cozy & the bedroom with the fireplace and chairs overlooking the area is stunning. Things to improve: Include timber (the owner was so kind & brought us some because we didn’t know we have to bring our own), maybe lower the price a little bit, the check in & checkout times & also making the beds ourselves we hoped it would be included in the amount of money we paid. But that’s only our opinion and we would definitely come back because we felt very comfortable in the house! Good distance to beaches, a nice coastal walk & also Leknes :)

We loved staying in the house and fell in love with the view out of the window of the upper floor. We could even see the midnight sun from the balcony. Everything was clean and it was very quiet. Also the surrounding offers many wonderful views, hiking baths and wonderful beaches. Waralak was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed very much being her guests. Thank you very much for being with you! It was super great 😁

The view from the place is just amazing

We had two wonderful weeks in this cozy cabin at this very special place: We loved the view from the cabin onto the see, the short walk to the rocks to see the sunset, the kajaking between the tiny islands, the evenings in the outdoor bathtub, the hikes up to bolgtinden, through bolgborra and around the island, the bouldering behind the cabin, the slackline between the trees, the snorkeling in the bay... It is really a perfect place on an amazing island. Furthermore the cabin could not be better equipped and Edle Catharina is a very caring host, who explains everything in great detail. Thank you so much for sharing your cabin with us!

i, for the first time not alone, travelled to norway with my partner. we have arrived a day late because we took the wrong ferry from bodø. after an one hour walk we found ourself in the beautiful nes in hamarøy. we got provided with food for the first days and throughout our every day's breakfast. the place has everything that got listed and even more. there's a lot do discover and a lot of love in every detail. the view is breathtaking and the hot pot is an experience we didn't missed. even without a car we got bikes and we walked a lot. the tides can be seen and experienced daily almost twice, there's a 24/7 grocery store at skutvik and a lot of peace. we saw animals in their wilderness and learned the sound ouf 'the quiet'. whenever we needed something, john-karstein was here for help immediately. we felt home at every second and in good hands. we usually sleep on hard mattress, the bed was very soft but there are bunk beds with hard ones. 10 out of 10, great place and great host!

Lovely house located quiet and beautiful by the sea. Nice white beach in walking distance. Easy to take trips from. The house's shelving had many good books and maps of Lofoten so inspired us for trips around the islands

Cathrines place had a beautiful view, was very clean and perfectly located close to hiking trails up the seven sisters. Cathrine even gave us recommendations on which hikes to go on. :) We only spent one night but were sad to leave, so can only recommend!

The location was great, it was very peaceful and beautiful and the beach was nearby. Unfortunately the weather was rainy when we visited. The house itself was very cozy, miniature and had a vintage style. There were a lot of sheep nearby which was fun. The stairs to the second floor was quite low so mind your head 😀 All the necessities were there and the beds were comfortable. A big bonus for us was the electric car charger. We hiked nearby to Måtind and the views there were spectacular.

We had a very nice week near Sortland and were able to explore Vesterålen from here. We were warmly welcomed by Annette and felt very comfortable in the cosy guest house. Everything we needed was available. We would come here again anytime.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Erlend’s campervan. The area is accessible by car and is beautifully surrounded by mountains. Erlend answered all questions super promptly and was responsive.

We were happy to use the accomodation for our needs and it provided everything we needed. We will be back later in the year and we are looking forward to this. Best wishes for the always polite and fast owner.

We were three families and spent a wonderful New Year's week in the house. The year couldn't have started better. When we arrived, the house was warm, cozy and decorated for Christmas. We immediately felt comfortable. The one bedroom and sauna were smaller than expected but ultimately completely adequate. The kitchen is very well equipped and we cooked wonderfully and fit 12 people (just about) at the big table. A highlight was the Yakuzi in the upper bathroom - after walks at -20 degrees we were warmed up again. The view over the fjord and the huge jetty were wonderful. Since the houses next door were not visited, it was also very quiet. One evening, a very nice neighbor let us know that the Northern Lights were there. Indescribably beautiful! Nearby (25 min) is a great polar bear park. The ski slope in Narvik (60 min) is also great! Communication with Torkjell was very nice and helpful at all times. Thank you!

Rauvassgården worked perfectly for our overnight stay on the way from Hemavan to the Helgeland archipelago. A very good option for the eight of us that we can highly recommend.

We use Airbnb a lot, but this has to be one of our favorite stays ever! The house was so cozy and Kristin was a great host. The view is probably the best on the island. The Northern Lights danced beautifully for us one night and we could even see them from the living room. Our kids enjoyed making snow forts and sledding down the hill. We loved having lunch in Sommarøy each day and seeing the reindeer on our way. We'd love to come back. I bet it's just as magical in the summer!

Katrina offers 1) good hosting, in 2) a cozy house in 3) amazing surroundings! Great mountains, sea, reindeer, moose, eagles and other bird life were included in our stay with Katrina:)

To stay at Håvard's place is a treat. You will live in an authentic farm house where every little corner has been set up to store things. This has been by far one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. Strongly recommended.

Perfect place for a quiet holiday in beautiful landscape in Lofoten.

There were 4 of us and we had a great time. The house is really very nice, well-equipped, with a super sauna that's really appreciated. We were able to see the farm animals and it was great to discover the llama guarding the sheep! The wood stove quickly and pleasantly heats the entire lower floor. In short, a very nice place, a little far from the main roads, but that's what we come for here. Thank you!
