Cecilia and Mabel were wonderful hosts. The property is as described and has a lot of activities. We wanted a few extra adult life jackets for kayaking and she helped arrange it the same day. A ton of board games, outdoor activities for all age groups. Loved our stay!

Great stay with my family. Loved the winter activities both at the resort and in the area. The home was lovely, the dryer came in handy for drying snow-pants and mittens and the fireplace after outside time was great! The resort has many activities including skating, tubing and swimming/hot-tub that was fantastic. Enjoyed our stay and would enjoy returning!

We booked under the general listing (Having not realized that there were more specific ones) so Dan was kind enough to choose a cottage based on what he believed would be appropriate for the temperatures and time of year. And when we met down in the driveway upon arrival, he was immediately very friendly and we had a great conversation, and he directed us up to our cabin which was an excellent choice, beautiful view of the lake, nice amount of shade, beautiful inside (looked like it had recently had some updates as well), very clean, and very well-appointed - full amenities, very comfortable space…more like a home than a cottage. Had a lovely conversation with Pam while we were checking out. We greatly enjoyed our experience and hope to return next year!

Staying in the Airstream trailer at Northridge Inn is a very special experience. Small, but with everything I needed, and very cosy. I particularly enjoyed time spent on the deck overlooking the lake. The setting is beautiful, the staff were great, and the pool and hot tub just what I needed. I also really appreciate an inn of this quality being so dog friendly. Shows it can be done! The inn’s decor is delightful and I really loved the interesting bits and pieces that have been artfully curated in the lobby. The outside patio is beautiful with gorgeous plants both there and in the pool and hot tub area. The sandy beach is great for swimming in the lake or just lounging by the water. I had a wonderful stay and have already booked a return visit in early October when I expect the fall colours will be stunning. Also want to note that the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful!

Al and Claudine were friendly, approachable, and professional right from the moment we arrived. I would highly recommend Commanda Lake Resort to anyone looking to get away from it all.

We had been itching to get back up to Huntsville since we sold our fractional cottage at another place. After 4 years we finally made it back up there and it was nice to visit our old stomping grounds. It is a beautiful resort with so many amenities. We didn't get to kayak as much as we would have liked due to weather but still had a nice time. Myron is a great host. Would love to come back again

We stayed in one of the cabins, and it was incredible. The first thing you notice is the incredible decor, the lovely welcome. The cabin is really well stocked with all the things you'd need. I highly recommend it. Splurge on the hot tub. It's totally worth it. Really enjoyed our stay.

Great spot, beautiful cottage in a beautiful area. No complaints, would book again. Booking was a little confusing as it ran through the company and airbnb. But it makes sense as the cottage is apart of a larger family business. Very helpful staff and extremely accommodating.

This tiny cabin is wonderful! We enjoyed our stay and we'll be coming back! I was able to have a completely stressfree week and returned well rested. The view is stunning! We enjoyed the most beautiful sunsets, sat with our feet in the water on the dock and enjoyed the activity on the water. The Magnetawan River is gorgeous and I hope to return to take in more of the area. The host and family were really nice and helpful. We took in many of the recommended visits including the Screaming Heads.

This was my second time visiting Andrew’s place in the fall. It is absolutely gorgeous this time of year. The cottage itself is clean & cozy. All necessary amenities are included. Will be back again!

Patricia was a helpful host, very friendly and accommodating. Her place was peaceful, had a beautiful lake view. It was cute, cozy with rustic vibes. It was clean, organized, and had everything we needed. Also, the location is close to Screaming Heads and different hiking trails perfect for seeing the autumn foliage.

We had a good time at Gary’s place. Amazing and unforgettable view on the frozen lake. Comfy living and plenty of place for the whole family. Thanks Gary for being responsive and for all the tips!

Overall a positive experience. It’s a smaller lake, but perfect for getting that ‘cottage’ experience. The cottage itself is in pretty good condition with a solid kitchen and bathroom, plus washer and dryer in the basement. Good set of water gear (the canoe was especially useful), and you can go fishing right off the dock (we caught our first within an hour!). Lots of stuff for kids (books, an outdoor play area, kids kayak, plus Mother Nature!). Good water for swimming. Quiet. Convenient enough to drive to Bracebridge or Huntsville. Would definitely go back again.

This was my family's 2nd time staying at Kathy's cottage because we love it! A true cottage experience, situated right on the lake in a quiet and rather private part of the bay and surrounded by some great trails. Perfect for a couples getaway or small family. Kathy is very easy to communicate with and instructions are bang on. We will be back!

We loved our stay at Mark and Betty's chalet. The place was quiet and clean. There was plenty of space for our two families, a beautiful deck space for enjoying a morning coffee, an indoor pool for the kids to use at the nearby resort (at a reasonable cost and only a 5 minute walk from the chalet) and plenty of hiking trails nearby. The hosts were responsive and offered helpful suggestions for things to do in the area. We especially enjoyed Mark and Betty's art collection, the many klompen (for the Dutch in us!) and the giant pileated woodpecker that would visit the birdfeed in the morning.

Bowhey’s is such a special place. All the amenities, clean cabins, staff is always busy working on something to make it even more beautiful. Ian is so great and laid back. Saturday night karaoke should not be missed! We will definitely be back.

Beautiful view of the West Bay! Cottage was very clean and well equipped. Friendly, laid back people were staying in nearby cottages and trailers. We went to the Lavigne Tavern down the road for supper and had an excellent meal and service. Likewise, picking up ice cream from the corner store. Very friendly, warm, relaxed town - we'll be back!

Ian is a great host very friendly and professional. Amenities are well kept from the swimming pool to the fish cleaning hut, you can buy even premium gas for your boat and enjoy a Saturday evening karaoke. Definitely we will come back again.

What a little slice of heaven! Highly recommend Bowhey's particularly for families. Among the best features: The wraps (totally creative), the access to the dock, the pool (very large pool) and karaoke night (so much fun!). For just a week, I was able to have my son experience life like I did in the 80s and 90s. He met new friends, played games in the pool and outside and just enjoyed a simpler pace. If this is what you're looking for, Bowhey's is for you!

My first time experiencing cottage life. Ian and his family are good hosts. My children loved Ian. This resort felt very safe. The people that were there were very kind and friendly. it was not overwhelming, it was just right. You do have to bring your own pillows and linen. My suggestion, bring a fan. keep you cool at night. There is hot water. Karaoke night was a lot of fun. no judgement. Ian has a big variety of music. If you are coming from the GTA, you are looking at about 5 to 6 hours of travel time depending on traffic. We didn't get to do the trails because our kids wanted to swim in the pool all day. However, there are trails around the area. Canoeing was a lot of fun and the paddle boards were a challenge but a lot of fun too. There is fire wood present for you to use if you want to make a bonfire. There is a convenience store down the street. They sell essential groceries, beer, liquor, first aid and hot food. Some of his cabins have a really good view of the lake.

Loved our stay. Ian was fantastic and friendly. Great location with everything we could ask for.

My family and I had a nice cozy experience staying on Ian's yacht. We relished the lake views, the dock, the stars, and the sunset, as well as the opportunity to cast our fishing line directly off the bow.
