From my time conversing with Jocelyn around planing our trip I found her to be a very kind, responsive, and receptive host. As for our stay at The Athena Cabin. It was picturesque and wonderfully cozy for our group of 10. The rent was a little expensive for us, however no part of our experience felt cheap. The kitchen is well stocked. The house was spotless. The neighbours were friendly. The only problem my group had was our lack of preparation for the lack of potable drinking water (2024), which that was easily remedied by a trip to a near by grocery store mentioned by a provided list of important near by locations. Overall, I think the cabin is well worth the price for anyone who can fill it up and is looking for a classier getaway. Everyone in my group had a great time staying here and we would love to come again in the future. P.S - Something she doesn’t mention is how pretty the sunsets is on the lake. It was so beautiful we all went out to see.

Recently, my family and I had the privilege of staying in a beautiful house near Joly, ON. The location, the scenery, and the tranquillity were truly exceptional. The hot tub and sauna added a luxurious touch, making evenings especially relaxing. The cabin was well-maintained, clean, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Mariana, the host, was very responsive and accommodating towards our questions and requests. She would not have hesitated to help us with the stay. I highly recommend the Forest Lake Cabin to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature.

Black Fox Cabin was an absolute dream for our little honeymoon retreat. The amenities, especially the spa, were incredible, and the entire space was quiet, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing. We especially appreciated how well-stocked the kitchen was—it made cooking and packing so easy. During our stay, a couple of dogs wandered onto the property, and my wife got a little scared. But the hosts were very responsive and handled the situation quickly and kindly, which we really appreciated. Overall, it was a memorable and cozy experience. We’d absolutely come back again!

My husband and I spent a few nights here and it was fantastic. Brad and Erin were friendly and very responsive! The cottage was everything we were looking for. Quant, private, hot tub, on the lake, pet friendly. What more could you ask for? Highly, highly recommend!

Kelly, his daughter and furry friends ( Max, Ruby & Mary Jane) made us feel at home. It was my sons 19th and although the weather wasn't fantastic we went on so many adventures and loved the peace, comfort, thoughtful amenities. If your looking for a little slice of heaven, this is the spot .

We could spend a family vacation with 6 adults and 3 little children. It has been an ideal place for this. A nice and spacious house and beautiful surroundings! Excellent and very friendly contact to the hosts. Nearby hiking trail and only a short drive to Parry Sound. Over all an excellent stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy and peaceful cottage. The place was spotless when we arrived, and everything was exactly as described. The setting is beautiful, surrounded by nature, with a lovely view and quiet atmosphere—perfect for relaxing and recharging. The host was thoughtful and responsive, even arranging early cleaning so we could check in anytime. Small touches like a well-equipped kitchen, comfy beds, and detailed instructions made our stay feel easy and welcoming. We especially enjoyed the hot tub, the fireplace, and the canoe rides. Louise and Nolan’s cottage was one of our best experiences staying in cottages up north/Canada. The check in was very smooth as Louise explained everything to us and had everything ready upon our arrival (she even had the hot tub heated up). The place was perfect for relaxing and spending quality time together. The cottage was well equipped with basically everything you can imagine which made our stay very comfortable. There are different activities available for every age group around the cottage. Great place, highly recommended! Thank you Louise and Nolan!

We stayed for two nights with my husband and our dog, and we loved it! The place was cozy yet modern, with all the essentials—heating, cooling, and wifi. The bathroom was a definite highlight for us. Everything was just as described, and the little jar of honey was such a sweet touch. We also appreciated the bug helmets and Thermacell—super handy! The location was great, and having easy access to the Oxtongue River and dock was super convenient. Kayaks and canoes were also included in the booking. The views were beautiful, and the outdoor space was both peaceful and functional. Check-in was smooth, and the host had great communication and was very responsive. The cabin’s modern design really stood out. Thanks so much for having us—we’re already looking forward to coming back!

The kids and I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful lakefront cottage. Peaceful and quiet with beautiful views of the lake we would definitely recommend and we will likely go again!

This was my second time visiting Andrew’s place in the fall. It is absolutely gorgeous this time of year. The cottage itself is clean & cozy. All necessary amenities are included. Will be back again!

We had the most incredible stay at this delightful cottage! The hosts were wonderful to communicate with and went above and beyond by leaving us fresh eggs and homemade sourdough—such a thoughtful touch. The kitchen was fully stocked with every tool you could possibly need, making cooking a breeze. The cottage is located on a peaceful island, just a quick 5-minute boat ride away. Upon arrival, we had help unloading the boat, which made settling in so easy. The highlight for us was Sunset Point Rock, where we enjoyed breathtaking sunsets. Swimming was such a joy. The whole experience felt like a dream getaway—cozy, clean, and truly a home away from home. For fellow nature lovers, we highly recommend downloading the Merlin App to identify the many beautiful birds on the island. The fishing was great. We found the Texas Rig worked best. We absolutely loved every moment and can’t recommend this place enough. Will definitely return!

Easy no contact needed entry. The host was quick to respond to any questions. Good use was made of the space so you had everything you needed but could still move around. The kitchen is very well stocked with extras as well as necessities for cooking. A top notch shower head that wasn't to low (I'm 6 feet tall), and towels provided. Outside had a fire pit and firewood provided.

Patricia was a helpful host, very friendly and accommodating. Her place was peaceful, had a beautiful lake view. It was cute, cozy with rustic vibes. It was clean, organized, and had everything we needed. Also, the location is close to Screaming Heads and different hiking trails perfect for seeing the autumn foliage.

Had a great time! Private, secluded and cabin vibe is very cozy. Having the lake and fall color trees were such a nice vibe to have from our windows of the cabin! and the drive from Cabin to Huntsville is beautiful as there are lots of trees and fall color were just vibrant! Highly recommend!

Had an absolutely lovely stay at the cabin! Great location and very private. Perfect for our annual Autumn visit to the area to go to Algonquin Park, Huntsville and Screaming Heads. The cabin was well stocked, clean and very cozy... we truly had everything we needed. We were even greeted with a little basket of treats which was so sweet! Our kitty loved staying there as well. Leah's instructions were quite clear and she was very responsive to any questions we had. Our weekend was truly awesome, we would definitely love to come back!!!

Highly recommend the beach cabin for a relaxing getaway! The property offers a serene space to enjoy the outdoors, the lake and to grill on the beach side wood fire grill (so awesome )!! The host provided lots of water equipment to kayak, canoe and paddle board. The dock was a great spot to enjoy the mist on the water at sunrise and a picturesque sunset! The cabin was super cute, clean and offers a great space for rainy or colder times. Games and books were inside so we always had something to do. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook and the covered patio offers another eating and hang out area. Great weekend and great memories were had here, come make yours!

We had a great stay at Quianna's cozy and warm little cabin. The cabin was clean and well kept. She informed about the shops and restaurants nearby and that they shutdown early so we could plan accordingly. Best place to stay while you explore the Algonquin park highway 60 corridor.

Everything was fine. It an isolated remote community but that is fine with us. It was a little chilly the first few nights, but they turned on some heaters before we arrived, which was fine. You’re looking for peace and quiet. This is a good place.. I tried fishing by the docks, but they didn’t get any bites, but there is a bridge nearby and you can park and I caught a lot of fish in that location

Ann-Marie is an extremely friendly, flexible and helpful host. The cabin’s location is perfect. Very private and quiet. We enjoyed the paddling, fishing and biking and had a wonderful long weekend. Thank you Ann-Marie.

A great place to visit and enjoy the outdoors right at your fingertips. Don’t be fooled by the decoy coyote. We fired up the bbq and sauna. Enjoyed our coffee and stretches on the deck. Communication was excellent. We will definitely be going back for a longer stay!
